I appreciate your knowledge and expertise. Don't have any money rn so I got the timberland ones, which I know aren't on your list. Aspiring to own the $500+ RM Williams Comfort Craftsman boots after I get a real job out of college next year.
The reason for the single cut of leather on the RM Williams is for increased durability. These boots were made to be used for outback work and cattle. I have a pair that are 15 years old with only the souls needing to be replaced.
I have a pair of RM Williams comfort craftsman black and they are amazing. The next on the list are the Carmina rain on brown and I’m okay for the rest of my life for Chelsea boots.
Have you tried the Redbacks Chelsea boots? Amazing! They aren't built for fashion but they are so comfy and their leather is super thick too. Great value.
@@BootSpy do you know the Rose Anvil TH-cam channel? Watch their Redbacks vs Blundstones video. That's how I heard of Redbacks. And his accessment is correct because I now own the Redbacks and I agree with him.
William, your videos have become a welcome part of my Friday evening/Saturday morning routine. Keep it up. I have some Beckett Simonon Elliot Balmorals on order based on your review. I hope they look as good in person.
So if you had to choose one, you would pick BS Bolton over the Rm Williams? I ordered a BS Bolton but was able to buy an used RM Williams (not comfort) for just a little bit over the price of the BS; I'm wondering which one to keep - which one would you choose?
My goal chelsea to own is one by Carmina. I know they have a few lasts so they don’t just have one boot. I know there are brands that cost more like the ones by YSL or Satoni, but I think Carmina is what I view as the end all be all. Just my 2 cents. I also like the silhouette of the chelsea boots by To Boot New York, but they use blake stitch and I just don’t think the quality is as good as Carmina.
At first I was like “great, another Chelsea boot video that won’t mention RM Williams” but was pleasantly surprised that you owned a pair. I’m glad that you have just got them, how much did you pay for them in the states? Here in Australia, we can get them for around $450 AUD when on special but most people are happy to buy them at RRP AUD$600. Please wear them more often and do an in-depth review in a few months. I wear my Comfort Craftsman at least 3x a week. I’d probably wear them more but I have other boots that I need to put into rotation!
Do your self a favour and get some red back boots, I’m a plumber from Australia and have been working in redbacks go twenty years there’s no better working boots out there
What are you thoughts on the Wolverine BLVD? They are marked down to $120 at the moment. Never bought a Chelsea boot before and looking for something to mix with jeans, chinos, and dress pants.
I need help. I wear 10.5 sneakers, 10 D in Heritage Red Wings. I bought some Thursday Legends in 10 D as suggested by everyone and they hurt my feet. Like my toes feel pinched. Am I somehow true to size in Thursday? Edit: They seem to be much more comfortable with thinner socks. I’m hoping they stretch out a bit. I think I’m just not used to the narrow toe box.
William, I really enjoy your video. I have been checking out the Thursday Legend since I am looking for boots that I can use for hiking and weatherproof. What do think about the Legend? Or consider something else?
I have them. Theyre great boots. Use them for walking to and from ly university during winter (snow/ice) However theyre not hiking boots. If you need boots for hiking dont get anything made by thursday. Look at boots made specifically for hiking, such as salomon, urberg, alfa etc. theyre cheaper and better for hiking.
The Red Wings (RW) Classic Chelsea directly from RW has limited sizes, only 11.5 D. Are they discontinued or will they restock? MJFootwear has some in stock. I am a 10.5 EE in RW Irish Setter boots and looking for RW Classic Chelsea around that size.
Love your videos! I have a fit question for you I just got 10s in the Thursday dukes, with thin socks I can BARELY squeeze my finger behind my heel, not at all with medium socks and thick socks make them quite snug especially in the toe and foot area. I've been wearing them mostly with medium socks and there's some slight heel movement but it's not uncomfortable, even after wearing them the whole day when I'm pretty constantly walking around in our clinic. It seems like I'm between sizes but would appreciate any feedback you have on fit The safari legends just came back in 10 and I ordered them because there was only one in stock and I LOVE the toe and heel burnishing they do. The honey dukes seemed like something I gravitated towards but the similar tan color with the burnishing felt perfect after looking at them. The color seems like a nice way to add versatility since my dukes are in the olive. Initially I was leaning tobacco or black matte. Any opinions on the leather itself? Waxed weather safe vs rugged and resilient? I live in Oregon but I don't plan to beat my boots to death either. They'll see some moisture though.
I personally like the suede more than rugged and resilient, especially for a Chelsea boot. The rugged and resilient is cool, but I don't like how it ages as much as with the weather safe suede or full grain leathers
Great video, Chelsea boots are my favorite style by far. Would be great to hear more about fit and sizing, as it’s hard to tell when Chelseas fit right-too loose or too tight? By the way, Grant Stone Chelseas are excellent, I can speak for the Earth in waxy commander.
Your videos are quite interesting sometimes. But now I wonder why you wear a white sports sock in a Chelsea boat, don't get me wrong but that's not really possible...?😅
@@silentsir2446 I got few pairs of comforts craftsman, including kangaroo leather. Most comfortable ever. Better than Thursday cavalier. Yes al are half size smaller so need to get half size bigger for a comfortable fit

Best Chelsea boots are RM Williams from Australia, I am Aussie so I might be biased, but they are really the best and an icon of the country!
I can't wait to wear mine more often. They're super good looking
Well let’s all forget about Cheaneys,C&J, Alfred Sargent, Churches, John Lobb, Barker,!
You look stellar in Chelsea boots.
Every time I try out a Chelsea I quickly take it off 😅
I'm confused between the cavalier black leather and the duke black leather, from Thursday boot company ???
Have you tried the Redbacks Chelsea boots? Amazing! They aren't built for fashion but they are so comfy and their leather is super thick too. Great value.
I haven't, I'll have to scope them out

I second the red backs. I’ve worn my easy escape hd almost everyday for a year. They are so comfortable I feel like I’m wearing slippers
I gotta know where you get your overshirts. Those look so nice and comfy
RM Williams are just excellent. Great profile that gets better with time…

I like how Chelsea boots look on some people. I gotta get into them and see what works for me and my casual style. Great reviews, thanks.
I felt the same way, and all my friends have felt the same way. Once you wear them a few times, you fully embrace them
Beckett Simonon & Thursday Boots 🔥
Two of my favorite brands!

RM Williams - factory is just outside of Adelaide, South Australia…
Grant stone Chelsea's are amazing too

Chinese made 🥴
