So SCP 2718 is "When you die you get sent to the afterlife you believe in" and SCP 2922 is "There are millions of possible afterlives, and you go to one depending on your actions. Also there are various gods in the various afterlives." Theory: SCP 2718 is the selection process by which you get sent to an afterlife. If you don't believe in one, like the O5 member in the 2718 story, then you remain on Earth in the elements that made up your body. This leaves you susceptible to potential rebirth; perhaps a design choice by some deity to let you try find your afterlife again. However, if you do believe in an afterlife of some kind, or are open to the idea, you get sent to the desert of SCP 2922. From there, it's a choose-your-own-afterlife in the vaguest sense.
This actually makes perfect sense. Though it does seem like from other SCP's that soul can be obliterated and sent to a place that doesn't exist but is perceived as existence and that a powerful entity can bring you back to a conceptual living carnation.

@@krullachief669 Yeah, I was copy+pasting the contents from the wiki while listening and got confused whether I missed a part, until I noticed the date & checked the version log.
These SCPS are truly beautiful works of art, my I would give my soul to a HP lovecraftian deity just to tour and meet them all to my luck the chances of this ever happening will never come true seems I must come to terms of living in a somewhat of a mundane somewhat troublesome but to be honest I like this boring existence even though it would be better if something happened
I really, really, REALLY enjoy these types of SCP articles. Large scale, tons of moving parts, multiple parties with differing motives. Keep up the awesome work!
The character to feel for is Janet's husband. Dude's just an art bro who married a STEM girl that got tangled up in ultra-secret agency and then died in a car crash. 9 months later, his dead wife calls to say her old boss dispatched a death squad, good luck in hell, nerd.
Yeah, the weakest thing about this one is the characterization of the foundation. Since they're all about contain, control and protect I can see them studying and containing this reality but only in as much as they have with every other parallel dimension out there. Why would they even accept this was in anyway as a definitive answer to the afterlife? The phone procedure or a million other things could be the cause in a setting like SCP. And then the decision to trying to conquer it? Pick a fight with a dead scientist and her entity buddies? One thing the wiki sorely needs is a better interpretation of the 05 council. In a setting about mystery and fear these ultimate leaders should be mystery mixed with fear themselves. In a lot of SCPs they just come off as a holywood inspired board of douchebags. That doesn't just make them lame but _toooooo_ damn normal for the scp universe.
Theory: what if the human mind is much stronger than we thought, and as a last-ditch effort to preserve it’s memory it sends the conscience or the soul to an extradimensional space determined by the religion or beliefs of the person. Or the Greeks were right.
This, to me, is one of the more interesting stories of the exploration series... I can't wait to see if there is more added to this... I'd not I'll physically do it myself.
Great, I was thinking about an cellphone SCP that when used connects with a living person. It stays connected with a person till the battery ran out or the call is hung up. It was going to be an old motorola brick like the one used by Zack on Save by the Bell.

That reference makes me reconsider whether or not SCP 3000 is just a giant eel, or is some sort of deity/other godlike creature that straight up eats souls.
Yea this scp is pretty interesting and even sounds like it could be tv show about the husband trying to get back to his wife and stopping the scp from invading. The main problem though with this scp is while the foundation can be rather cold this scp makes them look super evil. I mean like mustache twirling evil.
This is such an interesting SCP, I'm definitely going to read it. I love this idea of the after life, I want to use this general idea of a world of like different biomes all touching a central desert, or something else
Janet is the most dedicated lover I've ever heard of, like God damn, with divorce rates so high nowadays why can't lovers like Janet be more common? I feel like the world might be a much better place if that were the case
To build on what you said at the end (the problems with the article), I find this with a fair few SCP tales. Whilst there is certainly room for the foundation to make mistakes, and sometimes be downright incompetent, a lot of writers take this *waaaaay* too far. Above all else, the foundation is supposed to be A) comprised of the world’s most elite scientists, unparalleled in intelligence and B) fundamentally restrained in their approach; seeking to contain above destroy (that’s what the GOC exist for). Yet, we have cases like this, or the Gate Guardian 001 proposal, in which the Foundation are depicted as not only making mistakes, but taking the most inconceivably daft course of action. It’s one thing to not look into an incident properly and regret it later (such as in ‘An Unfinished Ritual’), but entirely another to launch a nuke at an entity that has thus far responded in kind to any aggression, as in ‘Gate Guardian’.

@@krullachief669 Glad I could be of use to you!
@@nibblrrr7124 The great part was the added after release of this video was uh, really informing,
@@krullachief669 Yeah, I was copy+pasting the contents from the wiki while listening and got confused whether I missed a part, until I noticed the date & checked the version log.
Thank you for covering the three moons/ corbanic initiative, I have been waiting forever for this! Love your stuff!
I know what you're saying. Something to spice things up and actually seeing something of the abnormal.
Indeed. I wish story tellers and world builders would take risks like the SCP foundation did. Guys like Lovecraft and Lord Dunsany would be proud.
I really, really, REALLY enjoy these types of SCP articles. Large scale, tons of moving parts, multiple parties with differing motives. Keep up the awesome work!
SCP 3319 explores these themes further, for anyone interested in another long article.

This channel is way better than I thought
The character to feel for is Janet's husband. Dude's just an art bro who married a STEM girl that got tangled up in ultra-secret agency and then died in a car crash. 9 months later, his dead wife calls to say her old boss dispatched a death squad, good luck in hell, nerd.
It's been like 3 months since the last I've seen you're videos and I'm happy to see your doing a kick ass job on these ICP videos.
I always look forward to falling asleep after watching these on sunday nights
I’m with you. Lovely dreams
Yet again, another story that could stand on it's own. I would be interested to hear more about the exploration of this one.
so, basically it's like D&D, you go to whatever afterlife most suits your personality, kinda?
Well. This is probably one of my new favorite SCPs. It’s incredibly interesting and really thought provoking.
Please don't get rid of the SCP videos we love them!!
I love that you usually upload your vids in the dead of night. Always a nice surprise.
This was my first SCP experience and I've been hooked for years. Love the content.
Theory: what if the human mind is much stronger than we thought, and as a last-ditch effort to preserve it’s memory it sends the conscience or the soul to an extradimensional space determined by the religion or beliefs of the person.
Or the Greeks were right.
I read some time ago that after death our brain releases some drugs that make us high
More. More please. First video out of tenn million I actually enjoyed, and didn't want to end. Please, more
ah great, 12:40 in the morning and discussing death, no better time
This, to me, is one of the more interesting stories of the exploration series...
This is one of my favorites
If this is the afterlife I'm game. Sounds fun.
I can’t believe the foundation didn’t continue with the operations of Sir Lancelot, King Arthur, an Sir Robin on their journey for the holy grail.
Heck yeah, got to listen before work.
Cant wait for the Three Moons video, keep up the great show I've been binging these.
6th place even though there are only 4 comments for some reason.
Plus, this series is awesome, maybe do SCP-1529 The Mountaineer. (There is a theory he is the reason of SCP-096.)
Really? is there a page were that theory is? it seems very interesting.
I’m so glad I found this channel, and this universe.
Please do a video on "gamers against weed" if you haven't already talked about them
This is a synopsis for a really great fantasy/sci-fi novel.
A giant desert that no one understands and some marsupials?
Is this the SCP equivalent of Australia?
Imagine her reaction when she learns she was never supposed to feel pain.
Video upload at exactly midnight? Right on time!!
I was listening to this a while back before going to sleep and all of this just seemed so interesting
Being sent in without gear, having to scavenge everything for yourself...

I like how you also critique the writing of each SCP, pointing out logical fallacies and the like.
Why do I think that the spider thing is the same thing as the spider involving the transportation ticket?
This is such an interesting SCP, I'm definitely going to read it. I love this idea of the after life, I want to use this general idea of a world of like different biomes all touching a central desert, or something else
Janet is the most dedicated lover I've ever heard of, like God damn, with divorce rates so high nowadays why can't lovers like Janet be more common? I feel like the world might be a much better place if that were the case
Divorce rates have actually been decreasing
Divorce rates are lower these days.
"Don't worry about what's coming, just enjoy what's left"...
Who knew it would end so wholesomly?
“The greater good”
This scp just gave me the setting for my next D&D campaign 👌🏽
Can you please do SCP-1733 (The Celtics playoff game)?
