One thing I love about the monsters that use weapons is how much they tend to contrast human units. The melee bonewalkers are basically unmounted cavaliers, the tarvos are "mounted" fighters and while they don't use actual tomes the mogalls are basically flying shamans.
I've always thought it strange we have this medieval fantasy series of games but we never actually fight mythological creatures outside of mostly dragons. If for no other reason than that, i really want to see an FE 8 remake
Gargoyles aren't especially known for spears, but the Malebranche from Dante's Inferno were similarly winged demon creatures that were notably armed with three pointed skewers to keep damned souls in pits of flame if they try to climb out. That might be the reference they're going for with the lances.
I remember seeing the centaurs my first play through and being instantly terrified when I saw them on the map. And then they were total pushovers. Relieving, but a letdown
Mauthe Doog is actually an 18th century misspelling of the Moddey Dhoo, which means "black dog." It's a creature from the folklore of the Isle of Man in Britain. If you think you know how to pronounce either of those, unless you're a native Manx speaker, you're probably wrong. 😂 So I just call them black dogs and don't bother with the rest.
Why did you exclude two biggest monsters, Druid that feeds green units to spiders and the iconic Orson who betrayed king and country so fuck a zombie of his wife
I'm gonna bump Centaurs up a tier or two... They have high movement and sometimes come with the effective weapons that can wreck your horse bros! But more than that, in mythology, they are the demi-human children of like... some cloud nymph Zeus made and some low tier demi-god king that had the hots for Zeus's wife. The Centaurs go on to fight other demi-human/demi-god cousins the Lapiths, because the Centaurs wanted the Lapith's women. Centaurs are literally rapists that carry off human women specifically for forced mating. In mythology they do lose to the Lapiths, but only because Theseus joins the Lapiths. Centaurs use bows but they are also very primal and often crush people to death with rocks or giant logs. Or you know, by stamping them with their hooves. I think one of them taught Hercules how to fight? Chiron or something like that, but any Centaur that gets noble mention is usually a centaur that somehow exists outside of the typical centaurs. Cause iirc, Chiron is like the son of Poseidon or some shit, despite being a centaur. Greek myths are weird, man.
Yeah, I'm with your friends on this one. The spiders can go die in a fire, absolutely hate those things, instant F tier. Actually, I'm making a tier below F tier called "Spider tier" and they will sit alone in sadness, which is better than what they deserve. I'm surprised those guys haven't shown up in nightmares yet, though I think I may have just jinxed it... Edit: The damage type you are looking for when discussing the dragons is generally known as "true damage," though Engage calls it "piercing damage" with the wyrm breath attacks
Forde gotta be on S Rank, his mediocrity is the scariest shit ever
What about Seth’s BST? They’re…
Frighteningly good
It would be cool to rom where your squad are monsters to level up, and you fight living soldiers
Your next project after Pokémon games?
18:00 Erika doesn't fight a cyclops but she fights a centaur which Ephraim doesn't (both in their respective Ch12)

Curiosity: This is more funny when you know that promoted gargoyles are called Devils
I agree with your top two tiers, and really that's all that I care about. Nice job and Happy Halloween!
I love ALL Mekkah videos!!!! ❤

The mogalls can be pretty annoying on Phantom Ship but after playing Tear Ring Saga I will never complain about the FE8 mogalls again
Hope you don't mind me putting this on trying to sleep :D

Australian spotted XP
I have a soft spot for the moguls, they're magic using flyers which is pretty uncommon in the series. And they're just goofy lil guys!
ok but hear this out....what if....PLAYABLE MONSTER CLASSES....yea
The randomizer lets you play as monsters. On one of my randomized play through Saleh randomized into a mogall. I called him SalEye.
you can play as a monster with enemy control glitch
Romhacks have you covered my friend
Centaur gets axe/bow because your player horse units get sword/lance. Its to contrast with the player
