  • The AI race has recently come to a head with China's release of DeepSeek open source AI, resulting in chaos in US tech stocks, with prices plummeting, totaling in a near 1 trillion dollar loss.
In this video, we'll look at the AI landscape and discuss how we should proceed into this new era.
The AI revolution will change the world and it's important that we bring it in as responsibly as possible.

On a lot of issues with regard to China, many westerners are willfully blind, or have some sort of bias preprogrammed about their own country being bad and believing that China is better. I think that relates in part to relative degrees of censorship. They grow up in countries that allow bad news to be spread, and believe all countries are open in the same way. Never hearing anything bad come out of China, it must be a wonderful place. No crime, no racism, green energy, beautiful, modern, clean, etc. Yet those of us who live there know the truth and observe the effect of this relative censorship on people who have not seen the good and bad of China. It is intentional. This is, I think, how Deepseek seems to be planned, only provide positive things about China, and be open to criticize western nations. The natural brainwashing will follow. People don't understand this dynamic.

I think people don’t appreciate the difference between education and brainwashing. Here’s chatgpt’s take:
The difference between brainwashing and educating lies in method, intent, and the role of critical thinking. While both involve influencing the way people think, they operate in fundamentally different ways.
      1. Critical Thinking vs. Indoctrination
      • Education encourages critical thinking. It provides information, fosters debate, and allows individuals to analyze and form their own opinions.
      • Brainwashing suppresses critical thinking. It seeks to force a belief system without allowing questioning or alternative viewpoints.
      Analogy:
      • Education is like teaching someone to cook-you provide different ingredients (ideas), show techniques (methods), and let them decide how to make their own dish (beliefs).
      • Brainwashing is like force-feeding-you only allow one kind of food, forbid alternatives, and punish those who refuse to eat it.
      2. Exposure to Multiple Perspectives vs. One-Sided Conditioning
      • Education presents multiple viewpoints and evidence, encouraging open-minded exploration.
      • Brainwashing involves repetition of a single idea, often using manipulation or fear to discourage alternative views.
      Example:
      • A history class discussing different perspectives on a war, allowing students to debate and form their own conclusions = Education
      • A propaganda campaign that presents only one version of history, discrediting or banning opposing viewpoints = Brainwashing
      3. Voluntary vs. Coercive
      • Education is voluntary-learners engage by choice and can leave or question what they learn.
      • Brainwashing is coercive-often involving pressure, isolation, or punishment for dissent.
      Example:
      • A university class that allows students to challenge the professor and explore different interpretations = Education
      • A cult that isolates members, forbids questions, and punishes those who disagree = Brainwashing
      4. Method of Influence
      • Education relies on logic, evidence, and reasoning.
      • Brainwashing relies on fear, repetition, emotional manipulation, or even physical coercion.
      Example:
      • Learning physics through experiments, questioning, and proof = Education
      • Being told you must believe in a certain ideology or face consequences = Brainwashing
      5. Outcome: Independent Thinking vs. Obedience
      • Education empowers people to think for themselves.
      • Brainwashing produces obedience and conformity.
      Example:
      • A student learning philosophy and forming their own ethical beliefs = Education
      • A dictatorship controlling all media and punishing dissenters for questioning the state = Brainwashing
      Summary Table
      Feature Education Brainwashing
Encourages critical thinking? Yes ✅ No ❌
Multiple perspectives? Yes ✅ No ❌
Voluntary participation? Yes ✅ No ❌ (Often forced)
Based on evidence & logic? Yes ✅ No ❌ (Often emotional or manipulative)
Allows questioning & debate? Yes ✅ No ❌
Goal Empowerment & knowledge Control & obedience
      Final Thought
Education helps people think for themselves; brainwashing tells people what to think. The key difference is the freedom to question and choose what to believe.

Exactly! I've lived 10 years in China, and the amount of incomprehension from the outsiders is astonishing, but again, seeing how people nowaday lack critical thinking and have the attention span of a goldfish, make it easy for shills to spread their BS around, and for misinformation to make its way in people's minds, especially the younger generation who seem to be more looking for an excuse to validate their "beliefs" than a true understanding of a said situation. And seeing foreigners make excuses for this horrible regime because xyz country wrongfully did something else before only contributes at making our world worse; they truly fail to understand that being able to openly criticize their own country, without facing any repercussion, is a top tier privilege, and that even if it's an imperfect system, these past crimes and shady actions are known because, unlike China, it's a transparent and open system, and this is a necessity to evolve and move forward on the longer term... And yeah, if they'd go to school a bit instead of spending their time on tiktok (and now 小红屎), they'd see that the only thing remotely "socialist" in China is the name... Depressing af!

The people that belives this, well it is best if we just ask or send them to live in China for a while and let them see China themselves

Your explanation on this is very well, like the way you explain this with a certain tone that just makes it sounds unqiue.
To be honest, i actually do find that China being able to have a AI like this is a acheivement. To me, it looks like a milestone (in my view). Having a AI like Deepseek is something, and being worth to be shown as a major acheivement that is being done (had a word in mind, just forgot that). Its a good job done, it actually is something that the person behind Deepseek .

Wheter its AI or internet and social media that is from China, they have some pretty interesting ones.
I think that when it comes to AI or internet and social media that is from China, it can be very intersting for people to know and get new understandings on this. Its of course nice that there is something that is from another country. I feel like its more to do with people getting knowledge on this, and to just accept that there can be a similar product coming out of another country. I would say that understanding, and giving out more information on this defintely gives out and have better understanding on this. Gotta admit, China's internet and AI landscape are very cool.
For AI thing, Deepseek is definelty a good product being done by china, China has other good AI tools and platforms, they are all cool and unique in their own ways. I remeber a few years back when Huawei had released their own AI, and that was shown in a display (as that was covered by someone who uploaded a video about this). Regardless, its a great acheivement that they have on Deepseek in their own AI work.
Congrulations China on a great work done and getting Deepseek released!
    For extra:
I feel like when people see China on internet wheter its AI or just to see what the country is like, they get only the tip of the iceberg on what it actually is. Just as example would be how Americans were getting this schocked or should i say, looking like first time seeing China, that they get reactions to this when they see China on Xiaohongshu but fail to look deep in the picture (I have nothing against Americans from using Xiaohongshu at all, its nice to have them there), and i presume its their first time in getting to know China. Perhaps for these people who does get this sort of reactions by looking at what is shown on social media (this includes Xiaohongshu) on China, they can go and live in China where they can see what China is really like.

Apparently, the gentleman who owns this Ai company is also the owner of another company that has publicly claimed to have 10,000 H100 GPUs.
If true, that’s awfully coincidental isn’t it?

Not afraid. The power dynamic will just juggle back and forth till a dark horse arises that’s an amalgamation of all the development (mostly likely an advance agi of sorts) which does it’s own thinking of sort and mostly likely produced by an open source or leaked on internet.

Some people clearly misunderstand what open source means. It literally means you can download these **models** or **formulas** to your own PC, run them locally for free without the internet, and even transfer them to the **(mi)sisipi**.
This is why companies like Perplexity, Apple (iPhone), and even OpenAI have proposed integrating the **DeepSeek** model into their own AI ecosystems-of course, with their own rules, tweaks, and **data**.
Simply put, you can create an **uncensored** version of the current DeepSeek models (which already exist out there) and use them for yourself-without having to share them back with DeepSeek or the **(mi)sisipi**.
