I love my VM!!! I used the original magic eraser on my original container after a couple years and it cleared up; no issues without any grittiness. Rinse well. Once the cloudiness is gone, I dry it w/a microfiber cloth after each use and as long as I do that, there is no cloudiness. Baking soda is excellent too.

I tried the magic eraser on mine, did not work. The water in my area is very hard, lots of minerals

Thanks! I’ve been needing to clean my Vitamix and not sure how to go about it! Just discovered your channel and I like you a lot! Appreciate all your great knowledge!

I have a new Vitamix 750 pro and it has a clean cycle so it cleans itself every time I use it 😊

I used to work at vitamix. There is not a good way around that issue aside from the stainless container. You def should not be able to remove the blade though. If you called them and said your blade came out they might send you a new container.

You can't take the bottom off mine which makes it so hard to clean. Mine is narrower than yours but I always thought it was stupid not to make it immersible. The way the booklet tells to clean it, is to put washing-up liquid and water in it and whizz.

Did that work? Mine didn’t clean well that way

@@MrGizmo211 No, doesn’t work at all which is why I watched your video. I definitely can’t take the bottom off. I resort to rinsing really well and every now and then scrubbing with cream cleanser but so difficult as a narrow jug. I’ve had mine for years and years and so I expect newer models can be taken apart. Such a shame because as you said they are very expensive. I only use mine nowadays for whizzing oranges and they leave awful marks on everything.

Well I was expecting to see a much more noticeable difference, and there wasn't. My guess is that your container is scuffed to the max, and using a scouring pad on a plastic surface is going to make it worse. After having your container for as many years, just clean it using baking soda and or the usual Vitamix cleaning method or invest in a new container
