10:06 I'm not sure if you've picked up on it, but its been mentioned multiple times that Sara has Aspergers and ADHD. I know that while it's not an excuse for what she did to felice on parents day, its an explanation for why she did it: because those on the spectrum tend to not grasp social cues as well as typical people and therefore Sara truly didn't know that what she was saying was socially unacceptable. Which is why both Simon and felice sort of scold her a bit but they're forgiving. Sorry for the long explanation lol I see a lot of people hating on Sara while being unaware of her aspergers and how that plays into the situation during the parents day lunch with felice
august definitely has body image issues. it's never stated explicitly in the show nor do i remember anyone mentioning it in an interview but the fact that he's so obsessed with working out is alarming imo (not counting the group workouts/rowing scenes obv)... i guess not a whole lot of people have picked up on it because eating disorders tend to be the more common route when characters have trouble dealing with their bodies while sport is seen as super healthy and many don't seem to realize that there is such a thing as too much of it. anyway, the boy is a whole ass mess. also it was revealed the other day in an interview of the actor who plays erik that the song the choir sings at the start of this episodes was erik's favourite and he and wilhelm where fooling around and singing it together in an unused part of the scene where they're first driving to the school in the first episode. in that same interview he also said that in another deleted scene from the beginning of the show, we see erik give the little frog prince snow globe to his brother before he leaves, it's apparently something he'd had since they were small kids that wilhelm had always wanted for himself;;
I think August's workout addiction is less about body image and more about control (which most eating disorders are, I guess). He's obsessed with control and perfection in his life, and since he feels out of control of his own financial situation and is unable to handle the pressure of school and his reputation without pills, exercise becomes a coping mechanism he uses. It's definitely unhealthy!
@@em8842 oh yes definitely but just as with a lot of testimonies i've seen from people with eating disorders, the need to have control over one thing in their lives is is linked to body image issues whether they're the starting point or not like need for control > sport/diet to cope > body doesn't look perfect still > unhealthy obsession
i looove watching your reactions because it's like i'm watching the show for the first time again even though i'm not. your energy is so contagious that i'm bouncing off the wall with you! that last scene is stunning with them finally finding a crumb of happiness but that's never for long in this series. i personally really dig the tension of 'is August gonna ruin this by showing up or not' because he's so constantly present wherever Wilhelm is, you start to suspect it. i really hope though that after all the turmoil (of which you are yet to see the bullet of) they'll start to get time to grow without interruption. but i guess we'll have to see...

Do they not have laws for this in Sweden? In the United States filming sexual activity without the consent of the parties engaged is a criminal offense. August should be in jail.
