The actor of Wilhelm said in an interview that Wilhelm is unlabeled because there are unlabeled people to and that they wanted to represent that part of the community too .

@@SamanthaxEmily In Sweden you start high School the year you turn 16, (in the autumn), and it’s three years so you graduate the year you turn 19, ( in spring).
So that’s what Wilhelm said to Erik, “I can’t stand it here, three f**ng years!”
All first years at Hillerska are 16 except Sara who is 17, she had to start over bc she had been too afraid/bullied to attend the old school, so they let her and Simon attend Hillerska as day pupils. (They don’t live at school.) And alcohol … you have to be at least 20 to buy alcohol in Sweden and it’s illegal to sell to minors.

1. It wasn't Willhelm talking to Simon in class 2. "Guten tag" and "Nein" is German, not Swedish lol

why is this a thing?
I think the ketchup on pasta thing is used in the series to show that Simon´s family is like working class, or low middle class, like commoners, they don´t eat fancy food. If it had been an American show they would probably used like mac and cheese, but not home made, but from a package. It´s to create a contrast between the school, and those who live there, and those who are not living at the boarding school. The posh kids, and the non-posh kids (like Simon and Sara).
