Hey guys, just noticed that the German Recce platoon (SdKfz 250) moved at dash speed (@2:53). Although I cannot measure through video, it seems that it moved within 8''/20cm of the American Infantry. If this is the case then the movement is illegal as "Tank, Infantry, and Gun Teams cannot Move at Dash speed within 8”/20cm of any enemy Tank, Infantry, or Gun Team", Rulebook, p. 41
Doh! Thanks for catching that. I guess I really should sit down and read the rules a little bit better. That might have made for a more compelling game. Granted....this was months ago at this point (and I don't mean from the upload time either). Thanks for pointing that out so I can do better in future videos!
at 45:40 I *think* he needs to reroll his infantry saves because you ranged in on the first attempt ("Time on Target") But I didn't see what exact 105s you were using; there are a few that don't have ToT.
I'm trying to, at least for these campaigns, to make every list different. I think the only time I've doubled up so far was with the 21st panzer half track company. No point in doing a campaign of 20 games if they are all the same list, eh?
I'll point that out to him. I don't have either of those so he probably just misread the card. Kind of like how he brought the wrong unit in mission 4.
Only on infantry. In order to repel an assault from armored vehicles you have to achieve two destroyed results, two bailout results, or any combination of the 2. Page 76 "If all of the Assaulting Teams are Armoured Tank Teams, they only Fall Back if two or more of them (or all of them if fewer), are Bailed Out or Destroyed by Defensive Fire, regardless of the number of hits they take."
I dont think its foot infantry that are bad, its more that half-tracked infantry are too good. What you could have done was put a tank platoon on or near the objectives at the start. The German army's weakness was shortage of high grade AT, so it would have been difficult to drive tanks off the objective.
I also think that putting my 3 inch guns where the grey platoon would have been better for coverage. As I was editing the video I was getting more angry at my dice rolls. Soo many 1's and 2's on firepower checks....
I'll be finishing up with the D-Day Waffen SS Campaign, from there I'll probably take a break from FoW for awhile. My friends are starting to put their finishing touches on their Great War armies ;)

Oh I always forget some special rules like that. Changing up so many army combinations make me miss things like ToT.
Theres a person on Valley Gaming which is trying out an SS Pzgrenadier Company for the British Nationals.

Cross check on a Sd Kfz is a 3 plus. Cross check on the 250s is a 4 plus.

17:40. Five hits from defensive fire, repels assault.
