Thank you for sharing your old skool journey. I had mine just yesterday and was deciding to get the comfycush( it wasn't in stock)but instead got the pro skate version and glad I got it because I also want a driving shoe that is comfortable also in walks or in the gym. Best shoe ever hahaha
Thanks for the vid, been thinking about this lately and although I know how oldskools feel, wasn’t sure if the “upgraded” version would be better or not with the thicker/more durable materials on it
is it true you get blisters on your heels or not really, and were the soles shiny or no? it looks like the soles shine depends on which colorway you get but I was just wondering how it was for you
I get blisters if I wear no show socks on my ankles, as it rubs against bare skin. With socks, I have no blisters at all. The Old Skool has a very good closure around the ankle, so it won't really move that much.
I did, and did a video on them a very long time ago. While those were comfortable, I found the white outsole a bit bigger, and the shoe looked and felt clunkier. They seemed to wear out much faster as well.
TWO MILES??? Are you kidding? I could not last several thousand feet in those! When I was a kid, sure. Are you fairly short or light? I recently tried a pair on for the first time since maybe middle school and I was shocked at how little support they gave. It was like walking in socks.
@ Sorry, what I was meaning to say is that if you want to wear the original Vans Old Skool and not pay slightly more, or if you just prefer the original colorways, you can simply remove the insoles. The originals don’t come with removable insoles, but if you look up a quick video, you’ll find some skater kid showing how easy it is to take them out and replace them with your own. Personally, I recommend replacing the insoles of most shoes with custom ones to improve the longevity of your feet and lower back.
Thanks for the video. I was a bit bummed that they do not make the comfy cush version any longer. This helped me out!
Glad I could help! You're welcome!

You’re welcome! It really is the best casual sneaker.

You're welcome, these feel much better.
Did you get the same size with classic as you did with the pro version?
Yes. The pro skate model feels a bit tighter, but it's just built up more and has the insert to hold your foot in place better.
@@tommilano5431does it break in?
Should we go with same size as old skool or need to get 1 size bigger ?
this is true.. got mine same shoes and cway so nice on feetm good for everyday use walking
Yep, thank you!

Did you ever try the comfycush before they were discontinued?
I did, and did a video on them a very long time ago. While those were comfortable, I found the white outsole a bit bigger, and the shoe looked and felt clunkier. They seemed to wear out much faster as well.

Insoles bro.
These come with removable insoles.
