What to build first in Civ 6

A hotly debated topic, answering this question will help elevate your game and set you up for success if you do it right.
Unfortunately, there's not a simple answer or even a consistent answer as many factors can affect your build order, especially if you pick settings like random leader or shuffle map.

Slinger first for me most of the time!

Scout first for me most of the time. Getting to as many tribal huts first can be a game-changer, as well as meeting CSs first, meeting other Civs, and figuring out where cities #2 and #3 will go. Work diplomacy as much as you can to avoid early war, on deity especially. But be prepared to switch to defense and temporarily abandon early city development and growth as needed.

I usually go for Slinger first and then base on what i see i go for either the settler or a warrior

I'm similar. First is almost always slinger and second depends on what I see up to that point.
