As I'll mention later here, with something called game-sync, maybe the game starts doing that personalization thing, and deja vu could be a result of that. It's likely not meant to be turned on during playtesting. Another commenter (Jeroen Both) points out he also mentions the game displaying the playtesters name, another thing which ties into that. He mentions Dan, and says to only tell Dan, no one else, if things happen to the playtesters, as you could face legal trouble. Now, to be fair, this makes some sense, as someone might think it was you who did it, or you did something to cause it, but at the same time, could it be legal trouble from Nintendo? After the normal tape finishes, we find another guy had snuck into the recording room (or really whatever room it was being recorded in.) We learn that the water not being in the moat was this other guy's fault, but the narrator says that Eric didn't have game-sync on. Hmmm, game-sync? This other guy also mentions how the animations weren't real. I think we all remember the description of the animation test video and the drowning animation... Well, it seems that was another joke pulled by this guy... Or maybe he's just trying to get out of possible trouble... Another commenter (RawChick) points out the dude also mentions 'that kid.' Who's that kid? After the narrator asks for the other guy to send Meg down to him if he passes her in the hall, she happens to walk in. She says she can't find Eric, possibly she was searching for him? She's called a know-it-all... A typical insult, or a sign she learned a tad more than she should've? The narrator also asks if she has a another moment, possibly in reference to Eric? She gets kinda annoyed at that. She also gets pretty pissed that this whole thing was being recorded on her camcorder without her permission... This whole ending segment happens during a power outage, probably normal, happens every now and then, but still a bit spooky I suppose. So, this video gives us a small new piece of information on game-sync, and introduces two new characters. The narrator seems to be well-intentioned, at least to me, being a tad upset with that other guy for pulling his trick on Eric. The other guy seems to be mischievous, pulling at least two tricks on Eric, but doesn't seem to be ill-intentioned, at least not yet. So that's my analysis of this video, probably my favorite yet!

You can tell they really studied Nintendo's designs for stuff like this. I swear those stock people on the thumbnail and a bit before half the way into the video, those people look like something Nintendo would have in a tape like this.
1. I love the art and general style in this! They really nailed the Nintendo brand here! Plus, mario getting crushed with an N64 made me laugh lol. 2. “Send meg up to me.” “If I see _them_ on the way to the breaker, sure, whatever.” either it’s written weirdly and he was actually talking about meg plus someone else, or... Meg uses they/them instead of/along with she/her now...? I know that this is from the 90s so it’s not likely, but... this *is* an ARG, so maybe it’s a world where nonbinary people were already accepted back then.
This is actually really amazing quality, thank you for reducing my boredom Also everyone is talking about the water and Eric but ia nobody going to mention that in Snow Ravine Eric literally called Dan cute
This is an amazing project, but one thing that always bugs me is using mario's beta voice clips. They're from a stock sound library, and charles was already chosen by that point, so I doubt his beta voice would've actually been used in secondary media. Again, a minor nitpick
Could also be to cover their tracks with youtube and nintendo copyright happy lawers. At the moment outside of the gameplay videos they are safely in fair use territory, using charles clips would push them over.
The two people in 2:04 I think represent Meg and Eric. Meg has the curly hair from the Wing Cap Tower GUI video, Eric must be the one on the right. Plus, Dan Newman at 3:26 must be the Dan mentioned in Snow Ravine.
If the game becomes Sentient and tries to kill the play tester, via the form of one of the characters heads popping out of the TV, please exit the room immediately and take the playtester to a "safe place" far away from our headquarters incase anything "bad" happens.

Hate to say, but the dialogue isn't great. The script doesn't sound natural, and the delivery is a bit robotic. (The monologue during the instruction tape is fine tho)
As a self-proclaimed writer, I kind of agree. I think it's one of those things that is supposed to be stilted, though. This ARG needs a tad better writing all round, tbh. But the renders and songs are great, so I don't mind.
@@suedonnym everything else about this series is great, but this video and the last video were both pretty bad when it came to characters having a conversation

I like how when you see yhe start of the channel everthing sees very peacefull and calm but when more. But when you start to see the videos getting more creep and creepier every video.(Im sorry for my bad english)
The style of the drawing reminds me of petscop. And the voice of the narador sounds to me to have heard it very similar in petscope. And the animation reminds me of the vhs tapes they made about fnaf.
Was the Ultra 64 a game console or a kind control device? At this point I’m really leaning on the latter. This is becoming a lot more than just Mario 64. I hope the best for you, Meg and Eric.
If I hadn't come down and read these comments, I would have thought this was a real video and probably been spooked pretty good, especially since it's like midnight right now
BIG CLUE: In the 7z file anonymously sent to Eric which contains design documents that belonged to him, one of the pages details early SM64 level concepts, and one of the level titles literally translates to "Lake Death Room". Lol. Another reference to drowning in this ARG, it's definitely going to lead up to something.
Some things I noticed 1. The hand in the animations is similar to the cursor in Mario 64 2. The buttons that are being cleaned are the power and the reset buttons 3. The cartoon of Dan seems to make him look pretty mean. Perhaps the artist also doesn’t like Dan very much? Also, he is the only cartoon to have color. 4. Another speaker shows up, who we know to be Dan, because the narrator calls him Daniel 5. Dan talks about Eric’s fear of water, which we already know from the community posts 6. The most not having water could be the inspiration for the most losing its water in the final game 7. The narrator mentions “game sync,” which seems to be the personalization software. Interestingly, there seems to be an option to turn it off. 8. Dan says, “it’s wasn’t him or that kid in the animations or something.” I’m not entirely sure what that means, but I believe that it implies that Dan used a child for making the animations, including the drowning animation. Dan denies this afterwards, almost like he didn’t mean to mention the kid earlier. 9. We learn that Meg and Eric are currently working in the same building 10. Meg shows up, and she is very worried about the whereabouts of Eric 11. Meg’s personality matched her personality in the community posts. 12. The description has a lot more details than the last one. They say that they don’t remember who the narrator was, so I suppose he is an unimportant character. They also mention that they are still on the move. All in all, this was very fun. We got voice confirms for Meg, and some insight into what it was like working and play testing at the SM64 development team. This video has some less details than the last one, but I still really enjoyed over-analyzing it.
So know we know some character appearence, apparently drowning doesn’t mean dying,I think Eric had an incident with WA[REDACTED] Dan really cares bout Eric as shown in this tape,Eric probaly drowned in one of the animation sessions, but was rescued in time, and we can hear Meg at the ending,so the two are definitely alive. Edit:The ending of the tape recording might been during around Eric’s snow ravine play testing, maybe after the ending of the tape, since in the recording it didn’t reach 30 minutes of playtime,SOMETHING might have happened to him during snow ravine testing, maybe something,or even... someone did something to him, maybe in castle grounds testing.

I cannot figure out why but for some reason my mom bought my sisters and I a bunch of old cartoons on VHS from Walgreens of all places. The cartoons were ancient and there were some that were downright strange. One of the tapes had instructions on how to clean your vcr if it began having bad tracking. Because it was in between cartoons we knew when it was coming and immediately after was this super creepy cartoon about a humpty dumpy character who literally built a wall in order to reach the sun bc he believed he could find gold in it. Since we were used to Garfield, Rugrats and Looney Toons this particular segment was especially scary. This entire video reminded me so much of that old tape. We loved it bc it actually creeped us out. Kids love weird stuff bc it helps them to engage with what they're seeing and allows it to retain easily in their minds. Most of the entertainment I found myself seeking once I got a bit older always straddled the line between scary and funny. It's no wonder I am constantly in search of scary stuff to watch.
Okay now this is quality, we went from custom music and stages to voice actors and animations, hyped to see what's next

@@officialteamsombie I remember Swapnote and Nintendo Letter Box, i used to draw comics in there
I know that this is from the 90s so it’s not likely, but... this *is* an ARG, so maybe it’s a world where nonbinary people were already accepted back then.
pronouns don't always mean gender, and since she's literally called a 'miss' in here, i don't think it was supposed to mean anything

This is actually really amazing quality, thank you for reducing my boredom
Also everyone is talking about the water and Eric but ia nobody going to mention that in Snow Ravine Eric literally called Dan cute

But the renders and songs are great, so I don't mind.
nvm I finished the video this dialogue sucks

0:06 -- Me right now vs 2020.
Cartoon Meg and eric looks EPIC.
I fell like i wanna be their friend lol
same
Some things I noticed
1. The hand in the animations is similar to the cursor in Mario 64
2. The buttons that are being cleaned are the power and the reset buttons
3. The cartoon of Dan seems to make him look pretty mean. Perhaps the artist also doesn’t like Dan very much? Also, he is the only cartoon to have color.
4. Another speaker shows up, who we know to be Dan, because the narrator calls him Daniel
5. Dan talks about Eric’s fear of water, which we already know from the community posts
6. The most not having water could be the inspiration for the most losing its water in the final game
9. We learn that Meg and Eric are currently working in the same building
10. Meg shows up, and she is very worried about the whereabouts of Eric
This video has some less details than the last one, but I still really enjoyed over-analyzing it.
was that meant to be Meg's voice in the end?
damn megs a bitch
@@Rei0SU Might've been a good reason she got so upset.
