    Sir engine vibration is fine but in my adv 250 there is lot of chain noise, service centre guys told me nothing is wrong with the chain or sprocket, please help

      Did we try tightening the Chain? Also, chain alignment dekho ek baar. It’s good practice to get advice from different services centres before doing anything.

    Does the windshield and the phone mount vibrate a lot when the phone is attached on offroad sections?mine Shakes a lot on bad roads.

    • @not_so_novice
      @not_so_novice  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have phone attached then it doesn’t vibrate much. But it does shake on rough patches.

      @@PrithwishSen07 but it never comes off, and I think it has been done to reduce weight. Atleast a good harness would have made it much more stable.

    Do you have problems with cold start on KTM 250? I'm really considering test driving and getting the bike but a lot of videos on back brake poor feedback or performance, cold start issues, chain issues etc.. Any thoughts?

    • @not_so_novice
      @not_so_novice  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I stay in Mumbai and never did I feel the issue in cold start. Not sure what would happen if one stays in Ladakh/ Leh area where temperatures are colder. Rear brake bite is bit low but I am only front brake guy and 85% of my braking are from front so never had any issue there.
      What chain issues are you referring to?

      One more advice, if you want then you can go for 390 adventure. It’s much better package than 250 adventure.

      @@not_so_novice thanks. Its 4.4 L now in Bangalore and that os my next bike. So starting off with KTM 250 or Suzuki V Storm 250 and then plsn to jump into 390 with some cool ofd road mods

      @@rvaidy51 yesss, if that’s the case then you can go for 250 adv. I request you to take test ride for good 10 kms and rev it till 6k rpm to feel the vibe of engine and its power.

    Whats that rattling sound bro. Is the dash kit vibrating bro

    • @not_so_novice
      @not_so_novice  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. It’s that mobile holder which is attached to the windscreen. That makes rattling sound if mobile is not attached.

    At what rpm approximately do you shift gears on this bike?

    • @not_so_novice
      @not_so_novice  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      4-5k is where I generally shift gears. But taking it till 6k is just so much fun sometimes. 😀

      I too had same question

    • @not_so_novice
      @not_so_novice  หลายเดือนก่อน

      When slowing down, I shift around 2-3k rpm.
      When going up, after 5-6k rpm.
      Most importantly, if you feel some sluggishness while slowing down then downshift and if you are feeling that bikr is crying then you upshift. It will come with experience on the machine.

    Quality of parts and fit and finish kaisa hai??

    • @not_so_novice
      @not_so_novice  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Parts quality are good. What I like the most is the the response from ktm service centres in case something goes bad within warranty. They change it without much questions. Finish of the overall product is decent. There are vibrations on windshield which caused mobile mount to rattle as well. But overall a decent experience

      @not_so_novice  ปีที่แล้ว

      Generally agar aap high gear par 4-5k rpm rakhoge toh vibrations kam rahega. You can also wear gloves and boot while touring and usse vibrations ka feel kam ho jata hai. But kyuki ye high rev single cylinder engine hai toh vibrations aayegi.

    Vstrom 250 vs this? Which one to buy😊

    • @not_so_novice
      @not_so_novice  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on your riding style. Vstorm has good suspension but KTM has more power. Overall they are similar bikes and Suzuki will be tad cheaper on your pocket. Just take test ride and you will understand which one matches your style.

    • @not_so_novice

      @@Gaming_station93 I feel ktm quality is much better than that of Suzuki. KTM service centres are also better than Suzuki and that’s a known thing. Suzuki India needs to do lot more in terms of after sales support.
