I didn't start listening until the vulgar album because of my age. But I've been a die hard Pantera fan since I heard the first 15 seconds of WALK. Dime was literally the reason I learned how to play guitar, so I could play Pantera songs. And 30 years later I still have trouble with most of Dimebag's leads. God he was so good. I really do miss that guy. It's a dam shame he was stolen from us by some idiot that thought Dime was stealing lyrics from him. As if Dime would ever have to steal anything from anyone. He was that good.

Yeah Dimebag had the Bar inFt Worth but wouldbnt help Damage Inc or David Johnston the true inspiration for thier fame what a pos as well as Dime bag for their part in never acknowledging David FUK THEm Both. PEROID Vinnie didnt even come to Davids Funeral/ Wake to pay his rescpects for Damage's HArd earned afforts to make them famous. David was the Writer of Cowboy's from hell Not Vinnie thats why they didnt really go dfar after the second album, Because he David Johnston Aka Damage was very much like cliff Burton of Metalica in the sense that their music was never the same after their best kept secret passed or was lost.

to the question about the headache: phil anselmo, the singer of pantera, messed his back up from performing like this, he didn't want to quit touring to get surgery so started taking heroin to ease the pain.
similar thing happened to tom araya from Slayer, his neck hat to be put in a brace, due to the damage from excessive headbanging.

Dude y’all wanna see drumming at it’s absolute speed and technical perfection you need to cover a drum cam of Nils Dominator Fjellstrom of dark funeral. The dude is left handed and looks unbelievable when he plays. I promise u will see a drumming masterpiece

Man you guys HAVE TO WATCH Pantera "Behind the Music" on your own time. The old VH1 TV show. You can find it on TH-cam. Very Informative. Shit will break your heart. Seeing as how Dimebag was assassinated on stage.

This band, during this time i was like the beginning of an era . Metallica WERE the reighning kings of metal, This was around the pivotal turning point, the new Hungry band comes along whos Hungry & willing to give it their all, while the old leader has millions starting to roll in & becoming world stars . - its just like the Van Halen story. And KISS ... KISS were smoking ALL bands on tour, every tour. No band could give a performance & show like KISS did in the mid 70s . Geddy Lee even said Say what you want about them, but there was No harder performing band out there . - KISS SMoked Sabbath, Van Halen Smoked Sabbath, and pretty much anybody that would take them out on tour, UFO etc etc Up n coming Hungry bands are out to win. - Just like Mike Tyson in the mid 80s , Nobody expected him to be THAT good.
