Ive been an avid runner now for over a year, running an avg of 3 miles daily 4 x a week. I also work as a driver for UPS and put in an avg of about 16,000 steps daily. My go to brand for walking and running is Saucony. Love them. I also have Asics, Nike, NB and Puma. I currently bought a pair of HOKA Clifton 9 and Oh man I'm in ABSOLUTE love. The Clifton 9 has to be by far the best shoe I've ever put on my feet. Really.
Hey Chris that’s awesome to hear and great feedback. I have some reviews for Nike and NB if you want to check them out as well. I’ll be doing an ASICS Novablast 4 review soon as well and plan to hit saucony in the next few weeks. I always admit to my audience I’m not a huge runner myself but I am very active and put 10K + steps on these daily, sounds like you take that to the next level and they still stand up to the test! I’ve gotten to the point where every other shoe I wear feels like something is “ off “ when I compare 😂
The foam in the clifton 9 is better than 8. But it is less durable. A lot less durable. For walking, get the 8. For running, get the 9 or something else with more durable foam
I have flat foot and something I learned when I was 17 I didn’t think nothing of it but now feeling the effects of not taking care of my feet with proper footwear I recently bought the Clifton’s 9 waiting for them to ship I’ll give an update
That’s very cool. Whether it is these or other high quality shoes, our bodies are our temples and it’s worth it to invest in yourself! Let me know how it goes!
Dr. Jay, I thought that the Hoka Bondi 7 shoes were life changing until I tried the New Balance 1080v13. Please review this shoe, I’d like to know your thoughts on it. Thank you!

Thanks for the detailed explanations. I’d like to see a follow up video after you’ve worn these for a month or two to see the condition of the materials. It usually takes between two and six months for my Nike running shoes or trainers to fall apart before the tread shows much wear. The color scheme and design isn’t flashy but it is good for work as you said. I’ve also seen this brand on many feet recently.
Great review of the 9’s although I have to point out that I think the pair you’re wearing are slightly too big! Lots of heel movement and that can’t be good
Hey Alan! I would agree with you normally. However I have hallux limitus, a larger shoe ( I usually go half size up) allowing more motion at the heel in the shoe and puts less tension on my big toe joints metatarsophalangeal joint ) and it ends up being much more comfortable. Sometimes the traditional “ snug fit “ we are all used isn’t the best thing for all of us. For me specifically, what is supposed to be my true size always ends up giving me pain at my big toe and somehow this helps.
@@Doctor_Jay I had Both big toes operated on back in 1989, Hallux rigidus both toes fused as well. When exercising and as a Fitness professional you would rather have your heel locked in place to avoid and prevent excessive movement within the shoe. @@Doctor_Jay it was over 34yrs ago. The big toes were permanently damaged and Hammer tipped. It’s caused me Achilles tendon issues and plantar fasciitis over the years now
