Honestly lunar tides is so great. I used to have emerald to forest green hair. I hated how most green dyes faded to blue. Lunar tides green was the only emerald green dye I used that does not fade to blue. My hair is back to it's natural dark brown now, but the green was SO beautiful.
Did you put the dye on your virgin dark brown hair?? I'm currently trying to work out what I want to do colour wise for my hair and I'm stuck if I don't want to bleach it and want vibrant as I have such dark hair. So I'm curious to know what's out there 😊
How long did it last? I just ordered the Cranbaby color and I just want to be sure it doesn’t last way long. I’ve had bad experience with Colo-rista where it lasted way longer than it said it would
I put the dye over bleached hair, and it lasted for a month before I had to redye it. The color was still in my hair after a month, but it was very faded(almost like a mint green). As for dying over dark brown hair(sorry for late response), the green will probably not show up that well if the hair is not bleached first. It may be a case where it only looks green when the sun shines on it(if you don't bleach your hair first).

I used the Lunar Tides Juniper green color and it turned out fabulously and is surprisingly long lasting. The silvers/light shades though are a little iffy to use tho, you can look elsewhere for that. I'm Currently switching from that green to peach and it's not hard with some bleach washes to get out but green Is a pain for anyone to get out for any dye.

Manic panic is pretty easy to remove, in my limited experience, using a color remover. And I've heard from stylist friends that it's pretty universally easy to remove for all colors

I think it depends
I remember when I used cotton candy, purple haze and voodoo blue and they came out so beautiful and were so easy to remove, even when I had a white hair base, but can’t say the same with shocking blue, it was a mess.
I used the blue and even bleaching barely took it out😭
I had the wildfire in and it was bleached twice and she was still not coming out. Don’t recommend that one
some of their colors that my siblings and i have used fade really quickly without remover as well!!

I love Lunar Tides for the sole fact they have multiple black hair dyes like purple black, red black, 3 types of blue black, grey black and ect. Most companies have just blue black, which is great and all, but personally I like having different hues in the light
I'm wanting to try unnatural hair colors for the first time (after having had black hair for ~7 years) and I was considering Lunar Tides. Honestly this review solidified my decision, because I WANT the color to stay in my hair, and I specifically wanted red so the fact that the red stays in is GREAT for me! I understand that people who change their hair color frequently need colors to come out, but I just want to pick a color and keep it, so for me it's a positive thing if it lasts very long ;)

Im using the 45 deep blue from Iroiro right now. I don’t like how the color transfers onto my hand if I just move my hair or have an itch. Anyone have a solution?
@@macee3365 i’ve been using their 70 pink and it definitely bleeds/stains for the first few days/week but it’ll eventually stop and won’t anymore you might jus have to wait it out.

I just recently tried Iroiro based on your recommendation because my local Sally's was out of Arctic Fox purple. The purple colour is beautiful and super pigmented and very easy to work with. I've only washed my hair 3 times so far but it seems to be holding up nicely. Unfortunately Sally's in Canada only seems to carry a limited selection of colours and only has the 4 oz pouches but now that I know I like it, I might place an order directly from their site to try some other colours 💙💜🖤

try the color remover from BTZ too.
I used the btz color remover and washed my hair in hot salt water a few times to get mine out. It's stained in places where my hair was more porous, but it got the rest out without a lot of damage.
@Emily Bouch have you tried the Dawn dish liquid and baking soda mixture?
I know this video is old but I just want to say thanks for the insight- when I had dyed hair in high school I used Splat which being an all-in-one and sold in CVS wasn't the most amazing dye, 5 years later this video helped me figure out what to get since I want to re-dye it!
I'm so happy you brought up Pravana! My hair stylist uses that in my hair and it's the best hair color I've ever had. It fades slowly and beautifully. I havnt used all of them but my favorite was the purple for the roots and wild orchid for the rest of my hair. Its brightened my face up so much. I wish I could show you the pic

I have been using IroIro on my hair for a year now (neon pink). It definitely has been my favorite pink of all the brands I have ever used. As you said, it doesn't come out very easily (which I love) but sunlight takes it right out. I worked at a greenhouse and a couple of days in the sun faded it right out! Still loving the color and haven't wanted to change it from the pink. 💜 You are hair inspiration!
Where does XMONDO color fall in the ranking? I know it's more expensive and only has 3 shades so far. I saw your video dyeing a wig and liking it. Are you waiting to use it on your own hair or for more shades?

@@TastyQueen some people are questioning the ingredients because it changes color when you try to bleach it out (a sign of a chemical reaction) either that or doesn’t fade at all.

OMG, I totally agree about the paranormal colour issues with removing AF. I tried to remove Transylvania and it went bright pink. Also, the Phantom Green turned my roots blue and my ends green in a single application. It was an even blonde beforehand and I looked like a parrot after.
i hated the phantom green! i’ve been dyeing my hair green for years and i never really had issues with green dyes, it’s not a super fussy color in my experience, but i could tell as soon as i started trying to work with phantom green that i wouldn’t like it

iroiro is the best hairdye ive ever used. i put neon pink in my hair and it stays vibrant for at least a month. my hair has now faded to a pastel pink, but it is still vibrant and i still get compliments.
i have to say this is a very concise video and you still talked enough about each brand which is great. i am just so happy that you have finally tried iroiro, i have been waiting for it to become your favorite too for such a long time.
I use to use Beyond the Zone raspberry kamikaze in high school . i feel like i can still smell it if i think about it lol

I've used manic panic for about 5 years now. It is pretty hard to get out of your hair, but that is mostly the greens, purples blues and pinks. Some pinks are stronger than others. Fuscha shock is the strongest, stains everything and is almost impossible to get out of your hair.
well great FUSCHIA SHOCK is why I am here, I am a mess , VERY unev en fading . From spots to where its not leaving. Not sure what to do next, so exploring options . Did it ever fade or what did you do?
@@slamitgladys i did bleach it. Mostly bleach bath and then I cover it with a very strong blue if I remember correctly. Before this I washed it with head and shoulders multiple times every time I washed my hair.
Have you tried Purple haze yet? If yes did it last for long? Im intended to dye that color but I dont hope to redye my hair every week
2 month later and I STILL have Fuscia Shock on my hair!
@@chiquynh8690 I've used it both on bleached and unbleached hair. On unbleached hair, it faded about 90% quickly but my hair remained a touch darker. On unbleached hair, it faded a bit slower but very nicely. My hair ended up a nice lilac. I do have very porous hair so it might fade quicker on others.

I used Iroiro based on a previous video and IN LOVE!! My roots are about an inch long now and my pink and turquoise colors are still super bright. Was so easy to use too.
manic panic experience: the colours faded really nice for me, the only two I had issues with was purple, it came out in 2 washes and the red it would NOT come out, had to have my hair colour corrected to get rid of it, it was a shit show.
wait did you bleach then dye red? i’m thinking of putting it on my dark hair but if it’s hard to get out i’m not sure :/
@@emelyvita2049 I used the vampire red on natural brown hair in college. I had it for a year, washing every other day.
i bought some iroiro on your recommendation and honestly? it's the best dye i've ever used. there just seems to be so much more dye in these pouches than you'd think by looking at them. i had no fadeout from my first wash. my only complaint is that the colors aren't the same in the bowl as you get on your hair.
I keep hearing it bleeds a lot, do you find it true?
@@briannah5912 i currently have a split dye, so while it was fresh i would section off the two sides and wash them separately. when i stopped caring about keeping it super nice, i washed it all at once, and over time the purple has continued to bleed onto the green. it's been maybe 8+ washes, it really shouldn't be shedding even more dye still but somehow it does. the last one i did, the pink ends with purple, the purple bled so much into the pink that it changed the entire color tone of the pink to a blue undertone magenta instead of staying vibrantly neon. probably would have worked better if the pink had been on top with purple on the ends, but i did the pink at the ends purely because iroiro neon pink does not come out of hair, as aislinn's videos have shown.
I actually recommend reading my comment and watching the video on iroiro's brown dyes, because their quality has gone way down for some reason. they deny making any changes to their formula, but around august 2021 it seems like some supply chain changes were made and the formulas are no longer consistent and of high quality like they were a year or more ago.

I have had the neon pink from iroro in my hair for OVER a year I have bleached it 3 times and have used 4 color removers I have pretty much tried every method and its still very vibrant its honestly a nightmare 😭

This video is really helpful. You should do one about bleaches and developers. I haven’t come across one.

I turned 49 recently and my midlife crisis has been doing peekaboo colors lol. I was surprised at how deep the Kiss colors came out. I figured for the price, if it doesn't last no biggie. Super messy but turned out super fun! Thank you for reviewing all of these! ♥

You put me onto iroiro and I'm so happy! I got the bubblegum pink shade and it was DECEIVINGLY pigmented. I didn't expect that at all, considering it was a pastel shade. But I'm happy about that because I was able to dilute it and get more out of it. I've also washed it twice and it doesn't seem to have faded really. Which any color only lasts 1-2 washes on my very damaged level 12 hair. Lol. Thank you for speaking on this brand. It's my new go-to over Arctic Fox

even tho I have different experiences with some of the dyes and ive used so many more that werent mentioned, this was a great video! and VERY helpful! so many brands have colors that act completely different! Im so glad someone knows how to get hard color out of their hair!

Joicos new semi permanents are amazing; you should try them. I’ve used the neon green and the peacock green which is a green teal.
