5 and 0 split for FoF is one of the core ideas of a great commander table, political tool to gain friends as well as enemies, but still fun

in your opinion, which is the better Merfolk Commander: Emperor Mihail II or Svyelun? I know you have both.
I have a mono blue Merfolk deck with both cards. They’re pretty interchangeable, but it depends on your gameplan I think. Both of them have built in card advantage.
Mihail seems to be entirely built around card advantage, where as Svyelun likes the combat step and gives your other Merfolk protection with her ward ability. So it’s up to you really which ability you want more access to by having either in the command zone.
