Love this. My first deck I ever played with in magic was an elf deck my neighbor won a tournament with. It was later given to me and has almost all of these cards. I can't wait to make it commander ready
Elves are my favorite tribe! I have an Ezuri, Claw of Progress and it's so fun to put a bunch of counters on your little dudes. Most of the time I'll play Joraga Warcaller without the kicker! Also, I like your Aetherflux Reservoir idea. Great video.

I'm glad that you've done so many of these. I also like to compare this to your full power deck since I have a number of those cards too, but might not want to buy new cards, just sub them in. I've luckily got a modern elves deck along with pauper elves and the Elves vs Inventors deck. I think I'm going to take all those apart and make this commander deck since I only really play commander and Standard (occasionally).

Elf tribal decks I would argue are one of the best benefactors of the printing of Paradox Engine. Allows for some absurd genesis wave turns or just swinging for insane amounts. Plus, I would be remiss without mentioning glimpse of nature and Regal Force as being the best draw engines in the deck. I played a fully tuned Elfball list myself and found those draw effects to be crucial. Having mass graveyard recursion like Creeping Renaissance and Praetor's Council can also help after a board wipe as well.
Congrats, Brent! Loved the decktech! I have been wanting to make an elfball deck, but i was thinking of the other Ezuri as a possible commander... Perhaps I will reconsider.
Just subscribe cause this really helped my gfs elves like my friends that were big time players that like pretty much didn't see her as a threat got wiped out in a free for all with 6 of us. She even beat my krenko mob boss goblin deck once. So me and my gf want to say thank you :)
Nissa Revane is the elf planeswalker to use if you are like me and can't make a deck without at least one planeswalker in it. Her first ability can put in Nissa's chosen, which can justify the loss of synergy from adding her instead of an elf creature. She is also a great way to keep your life up as you build your board with elves. Her last ability is exactly what you want, giving you access to all your elves in a single turn!
Taunting Elf + Ezuri's regenerate is hilarious and incredibly difficult to deal with, you can hammer a single opponent with your entire team multiple times.
They got more expensive pretty quickly. I checked on ebay again and couldn't find the same deals. No matter what these elves will be at an all time low.
i have a deck similar to this non commander version and i skipped through some of it im not sure if the card was in there or not but triumph of hordes is amazing with this deck as safety net and adding bow nylea to give all your creatures deathtouch. well think im gonna make it now lol
Sylvan Offering needed! Drawback actually helps, makes Priest of Titania and Wirewood Channeler get more mana. Plus when all your elves have trample, chump blocks at 1 tufnes don't matter.
i would suggest running a birthing pod letting you filter your deck and take advantage of cards like wirewood herald which lets you tutor an elf when it dies or sacrifice an elvish visionary and grab a lord after drawing a card from visionary, a regal force also puts some good draw power and a threat if your Ezuri costs too much at the time

She's not an elf but Seedborn Muse does interesting things in regards to Throne. I'd try her out as a non budget option. Plus the effects tappers play well with her.
Really think you should consider replacing genesis wave with Genesis Hydra, as I'm pretty sure its cheaper. I would also say that Umbral Mantle works great to untap your elves. I have one in my elves deck, but I wish I had more!
Oh now we're talking. Ezuri, Renegade Leader was one of my STRONGEST edh decks before I dismantled it, it had Speed, power, synergy, card draw, hell its just good, too bad it kept dying to boardwipes
Jumbo Commander If I can make a suggestion or 2, why not add Paradox engine and Isochron Scepter? Heroic Intervention imprinted onto the scepter and just go nuts
kind of suprised that you didn't talk about reclamation sage as artifacts and enchantments are often some of the most dangerous and powerfull cards that you're almost guaranteed to find yourself up against in commander :P checked list though and seems like you included it so... well let's say I escaped a heartattack ;)
I would love to see a video on a deck with freyalise :) If not can I just play her as the commander of this list or would it need changes and if so what changes?
Aksel Hansen hey I have a freyalise deck and it's a ton of fun. Most people see her plus ability and think elf tribal. I saw her plus one and thought Druid tribal! Seriously look into it it's a ton of fun. Some win conditions for me are: helix pinnacle, gilt-leaf archdruid, and lord synergies.
Jumbo Commander he's one of the 99 and I love when he's out but you just can't beat the utility of ramp, removal, and card draw on freyalise. As a casual deck it's so much fun and can get out of hand quickly. I might post a list of anyone's interested.
We need more squirrels! I did make a casual Nantuko Shrine Eggs deck that killed only using squirrels but it's so hard to recreate that in commander. I guess you could throw it in a shadowborn apostle deck?!?!

I have a Blue Yeti mic that lets me record into Audacity which I then Sync in Adobe Premier. For a while I had pretty bad sound so I'm glad it's better.
You could add Marwyn, the Nurturer it’s a better version of Elvish Vanguard imo and could possibly replace Farhaven Elf which is a downgrade from Wood Elves
Oh you're right, that's a shame. In the french commander banlist the two separate lists still exist, so Rofellos is only ban as a commander though. Still, not enough Nissa(s) for the lore. ;)
It is on the verge of being ok in this deck. This math is not 100% but it is close. With 35 elves possible to hit you reach what I consider minimum saturation. There is about a 5% chance to miss a 20% chance to hit only one elf, and a 75% chance to hit two elves. That isn't a bad spell but I also think that CoCo decks will run more three drops then this deck. You are far more likely to hit two one drops and although that's still a 2 for 1 (and at instant speed) it does put you at a mana disadvantage for the spell. I don't run it but I wouldn't fault you for giving it a try.
It's mostly cuz I kinda find that wirewood guardian a bit of an odd choice to put in it could you explain the reason why you chose to put it in above all the alternatives ? :/ teach me !! haha I mean even if you want sth big that has cycling I think elvish aberration seems like a way better card for this deck... and aside from that I feel like there are a lot of other good (better?) elves like: sylvan advocate wirewood herald wirewood harvester wren's run vanquisher deathrite shaman and these are just a few examples of countless possibilities ;)
I have no awesome logic ... I like all those alternatives better. I would actually take out the mana rocks that were left in my build (b/c we have elves right?!?!) and add some of your budget suggestions.

Yup, makes the "drawback" beneficial to you. One of my favorite plays. Just be sure that whoever you give the tokens to can't sac or use them.

Hey so you should try building combo marwyn she can go off turn 2 or 3 really easily and have 10 elves out of various cmcs with kindered summons

a card draw upgrade I would suggest is glimpse of nature it also works well with another upgrade I would suggest is paradox engine.

Yes you can. I would change a few pieces. Freyalise will be slower and more controlling so I would make sure to have more cards that focus on answers.

A great inclusion. It is running about $7.50 which is a pretty big jump considering how recent the printing was. It's a solid card.
