This is the song I most remembered and loved since my childhood. I remember this always played in the radio and my neighbor also played this so loud, but no one complain due to magic of the song. Platters and Cascades were really part of me.
I was 14 years old when Rhythm Of The Rain was released. It had the late '50s, early '60s sound, and was near the last of it's kind prior to the British invasion rock. I joined the US Navy in 1967. When my ship happened to spend the month of February 1969 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, there was a ship, the USS Cascade (AD16, a destroyer tender), tied up there. I immediately thought of The Cascades and Rhythm of the Rain.
I rented a room in Dave Stevens home in Chula Vista, CA. back around 1985. I got I few bass tips from Dave. He was a bass player for the Cascades. Interesting to learn that John with the band recorded the demo of the song at Dave's Mom home. I stayed with Dave for about 3 years. I was 24 years old at the time.
I met John Claude Gummoe in my country during a concert. I was actually one of the security personnel. The man was so kind talking to his security. Respect...
Cascades songs/music are really great...i remember listening to your songs when i was young...hope that someone will do revive your songs it's great and wonderful..it must be revived for the next generation to enjoy..👍❤ looking forward on that moment..
Ì always thought The Rythem of the rain was a pretty song and I requested it on a radio station here in Victoria Australia called 3ĶZ and the DJ was amazed at how I knew it was going to be stormy weather on a Friday night, which was a week before sent the request.
Absolutely one of the best interviews ever!! Loved the Cascades..so good..wow!

esse grande sucesso dos anos 60 foi regravado pelo saudoso Demétrio: Ritimo da chuva.
The Cascades NAILED the song, Had there been no Cascades, Ricky Nelson / Everly Brothers et al.
