In 1974 I had tickets to see Dan and his band but he got sick and had to cancel. But came back 3 weeks later on his own, no band, and for 3 hours it was just Dan, a piano and an acoustic guitar (he played both). It was the most amazing solo performance I ever saw. On tha last song, The River, when he hit the last chord the crowd was silent for about 5 seconds and then everybody jumped to their feet screaming and clapping. 50 years later I can still hear it. Thanks Dan.

It was 1987. I was playing piano at Vanessie's of Santa Fe. I took a break and went to the bar. A gentleman complimented me on my rendition of a song by John Denver that I played. I thanked him and said............"My name is Allen Quintana, and I play piano occasionally here at Vanessie's." He replied, " It's Nice to meet you and you're a great pianist. My name is Dan Fogelberg". ........ My jaw dropped and I damn near fainted. For the next few minutes we talked but I was too starstruck, and I can't remember what else we talked about!. Thanks Dan and I miss your music. I've learned to play more of his beautiful compositions,.........I hope I am doing them justice.

I saw Dan Fogelberg at the Devaney Center, in Lincoln Nebraska ,in 1980 or 1981, and he was remarkably easy on the ears! RIP, we lost a golden voice when Dan died, but his music is very much alive!

This is by far the best performance of Rhythm of the Rain I've ever heard. Gave me goosebumps.
Little do many people know why or where goosebumps come from. When the Goddesses throughout the heavens danced they would have an orgasm, not from sex but from the feel of the divine music flowing through their body, we humans on the other hand also get goose bumps not from sex but from music that touches our souls on its deepest levels. When this happens we get goose bumps, which is you having a spiritual orgasm. Both men and woman get this experience at any age. It's the goddesses way of reminding us how beautiful Lucifer's music was and still is even after his great fall from grace!!!! I was lucky enough to see Dan in person, in the first row at a venue with great acoustics, Long Island NY at the beach. My friend stood me up that night, so I went in alone. I loved the concert so much I didn't care that I was alone. LOVE Dan. I've played his music over and over on cross country road trips, singing my heart out as I drive.

I fell in love with his music during college, 1970s, and he, and his music have been an inspiration for me through all of my good and bad times in life. It’s 2023 and I still listen to his albums and cds. His music is timeless.

In the early '80s, Dan was everywhere and he stayed true to his sound and heart. I'll never forget him. He was hot, too! A sincere guy with so much talent, thanks to his musical parents.
The original one is classic. But Dan Fogelberg made this very emotional and intense,i love to listen to it whenever it rains.
Dan never got the credit he deserved. He was an amazing writer and performer. I have several of his Vinyl albums. He just can't write a bad tune. RIP brother. We lost a treasure when you passed.

Saw Dan twice and was so thrilled to see him live. I bought 2 of his songbooks and loved singing and playing the piano to his music. His classical background really stood out in many of his songs. I am pretty sure that this inspired Dan to do his version. He loved being in the Netherlands where he was more appreciated than in any other country and we had this radio show "Candlelight" with romantic songs and home written poetry.at night in which "Longer" and "Ritme van de Regen" were often played.

I do recall that album: " Twin sons of Different Mothers". While I don't recall the exact release year/date, I'll always remember I bought it while I was stationed in Belgium (Jun 80-Jun 83).
That is a great album. I first saw it at my brother-in-law's house years ago, and finally found a clean copy at a second hand shop.

Boy I miss this man! I saw him in concert 4 times, from a large auditorium venue to a very intimate venue and enjoyed every one of them. I had all of his albums and listened to him night and day. Such a wonderful talent , a beautiful voice and soul. RIP Dan.

Saw him in person at King's Island while he was promoting this album. Best live show and best sound system my husband and I have ever heard and he used to run sound for bands and it's hard to impress him! So sad he left us so young.
My parents may have very well been at the same concert.
My mom loved Dan’s music pretty much from when Home Free or Souvenirs was released. Saw him live at least 3 times.
When I started playing guitar nearly 13 years ago, she introduced me to his music with High Country Snows or Innocent Age. I want to say Innocent Age because after the first chorus of Nexus I was pretty much hooked. I only wish I could have seen him live. I still remember hearing the news report of his death before I ever got involved with his music.
