@pauloakes6952 From what I read, looks like one reason they eat grass is to clean up their stomach like you said. National park service page also says it’s part of their diet “Their diet consists of berries, flowers, grasses, herbs, and roots”. But I’m not an expert in bear behavior 😊
It’s a sub, and it’s shed it’s winter coat. It’s healthy and it’ll bulk up in no time. Also, bears eat clay to help with stomach issues so if you see a bear digging at the bank and eating the clay, it’s looking to balance its PH levels in its stomach and firm up its stool.
Thank you for sharing your video❤
Thank you for the comment 😊
Even the 🐻 confirms, that the grass is always greener, on the other side of the fence 😅
😄
The bear looks awfully thin, too thin in fact Looks like the poor thing is starving, malnourished.
@stevenbazinet3404 Really? To me it just looks like a young small bear. But could be that it hasn’t had enough food since hibernation and starving 🥺
I agree it looks like it has parasites. It’s also eating grass trying to settle it’s stomach.

Just a sub adult using skills it’s mama taught it looks good actually and will fatten up before hibernation
