My husband of 47 years and I were watching this video and he got up and cooked us some bacon! We had already ate supper!! Love your family and your videos!!!
Good morning from sunny California! Just want you to know I've got bad anxiety and have been sick with fibromyalgia. Just got home from ER and can't sleep. Your videos calm my storms. "God uses people" is a common theme in my life. God led me to your channel! God bless your family!
Try organic turmeric for fybromalagia...I told my mom about it few years back and she has it and it helps with inflammation..just read ur comment and wanted to share..look it up and or try
Corn on the cob is the best on the grill! Season and butter and wrap in foil! Also we love to do steak Kabobs with onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, squash/zucchini. Supper yummy!
My animal loving daughter was about 5 when she realized the chicken on her plate was the same as the chicken in a barnyard. Thought I was gonna have a vegan on my hands but she just kind of paused, shrugged her shoulders and said it was good and continued eating. It was so funy.
Hahahaha! I was COMPLETELY traumatized when I realized my favorite “moo cow” (what I called cows back then) was missing from my grandparents farm..... it’s name was brownie........ffw to a few weeks later..... and no answers as to where brownie was..... we were eating a pot roast..... and suddenly it clicked..... I said....”gramma, is this Brownie?”..... she said “yes dear” 🤪😂😳.....my grandpas reply....”Mother, I told you not to name the food”!!!!!!! (he called my gran Mother) 😳😂🤪...... ya..... I didn’t eat meat for at least a year, after a few months my grandma didn’t think it was funny any more lol! Have a blessed day everyone 💕❤️🙏
In high school my cousin raised a pig for sell and named her Laura. Some time later we were having pork and my sister just looked up and said we're eating Laura aren't we? Love the putting the animals name on the packages!!!!
You will not regret your Traeger purchase!! We love ours. For sides we usually throw together whatever veggies we feel like, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans, carrots and some quartered potatoes in foil pan and roast 😋
Oh boy! Years ago I bought a lawn mower on sale some assembly required. Fortunately there was a little lawn mower repair shop near my home which I finally had to succumb to and take my lawn mower and have them put the blade in a few other things and wire it together it look easy in the picture. God bless you all. P.S. my son Blair's the Foyle standing upward was sort of a ruffle around the top of the grease catch under your smoker because no matter how hard he tries and how often it always seems to be so full that it wants to flop everywhere so happy this is working out for you.
We've had our Traeger for about a year. I love doing stuffed mushrooms, roasted broccoli (straight from the freezer), grilled asparagus and fajitas veggies. Throw it in cast iron or put a sheet of heavy duty foil down. We've also made a bunch of beef jerky, chex mix and baked banana bread on the smoker
So excited to watch this!! That’s my dream BBQ Solo!!!! I’m so happy for you!!! I am at work right now but I can’t wait to watch the whole vlog when I get home!!! Have a blessed day everyone!! 💕❤️🙏
With my garden greens especially kale and collards. I double wash, spin dry. And squeeze out the air in a ziplock by rolling up. And freeze. No blanching. Perfect for your braised greens and smoothies. Texture doesn't seem affected. As you and us seem to eat a lot, they aren't in the freezer forever.
Our son Marcus bought the first Traeger in the family, then he bought one for his big brother Micah, then my husband had to have one! We love our Traegers! ❤
Your porch isn’t trashed it’s used & lived in. You keep is real & that is what fans like myself enjoy. Maybe all the meat prep will help you with bulk meal prep. in the future. 😬. Go Chef Sol!! Where did you get that huge pack of bacon?? Yummy 🥰
We have done veggies on the smoker setting! Stick them in a pan, toss with a little olive oil, top with some cheese. We LOVE veggies on the Traeger. We have also made homemade mac and cheese on there and it was so yummy! So many good recipes. Once you go Traeger, you never go back!
I love cooking squash and zucchini on the grill. Corn with butter with the husk still on and cooked on the grill gives an incredible flavor. I bet asparagus would be delicious. There are so many possibilities for grill veggies.
Sarah I was really expecting some ASMR with the crispy bacon you ate🤣🤣. Tory is growing so beautifully, she looks exactly like one of my former Church School children who is now of blessed memory- she warms my heart each time I see her. Blessings upon your family.
Brussels sprouts on them are amazing!! I also slice potatoes add onions, green peppers (and any other little bits of veggies I have in the crisper) put a little olive oil and salt and pepper, wrap in foil and throw it on there. So good!
Our family favorite is a foil package of sliced onions with butter and brown sugar. My Dad passed away this year at the age of 81 and I don't remember him ever grilling steak without the packet of onions along side. We love zucchini quartered lengthwise and coated in olive oil and salt and pepper. We do bacon on our Blackstone. Hubby can do a big package of thick bacon in about ten minutes and all the mess is outside. I love that and the bacon is delicious.
Just doing meal prep myself and happy to see you guys had a MEAT prep. Thank You from Scarborough Ontario. Being a busy mom this helps. Glad to see some Steak n Bacon lovers like me. I'm sure TRIGGER will be contacting you soon. Great Advertising!
We do baked beans on my egg smoker. We had Sunday dinner a few weeks ago and smoked pot roast complete with carrots and potatoes in a Dutch oven. It’s amazingly good.
We put Normandy frozen veggies, red onions, small baby potatoes and avocado oil seasoned with onion powder, salt, pepper and smoked paprika toss on baking sheet.. in trager on 400.. we cook the mest on one side and the veggies on the other side...delicious! We also brined our fresh farm raised turkey in apple juice and spices and threw in on the trager.. 22 lbs.. took about 10 hours at 350 degrees.. you will have to tent turkey after it browns.. Very yummy.. and those turkey bones made the best bone broth afterwards! Congratulations 👏 on a good buy!
Congratulations on your new addition! We just got a Traeger at Costco. It was super easy to set up because of how they packaged it. We got the one with bluetooth. It's kind of cool. You pick the recipe and it adjusts the temperature to what the recipe calls for. They sell foil liners that go in the bottom and little foil liners that go in the little bucket. I'm sad that your box doesn't have the special printing inside. You can turn it into a play box and it has scenes. Your kids would have loved it. It all looks so good!
My parents have collard plants, you can boil and freeze them beautifully. that way you can have greens all year round. You can freeze and use spinach....you can freeze and use collards
If this was our house when our kids were young they would have been doing the same thing your kids were!! Eating as the food came in the door!! No need for any sides! It doesn’t hurt them one time. God bless and keep you all safe and sound!! Brenda~
My son is the family Master Somker, (😊) when visiting us he purchase a new Smoker which my husband and I have continue to enjoy. Heygrillhey.com has great easy recipes. Ribeye w/white gravy sauce it the best. Once we firer up our smoker we cook all our meat. Enjoy!
We have a pit boss pellet grill, hubby was a little unsure getting away from charcoal but he has said over and over how glad he is we got this one. You'll love it!
You will love your Traeger. My husband has two. It’s the best present I ever bought him. You have to try chocolate chip cookies and bacon on the Traeger. I love salmon, broccoli, cauliflower carrots, pulled pork, brisket, tilapia. You also need to do baked potatoes put olive oil on the outside along with course salt and cook for 45 minutes to an hour. You will never eat a baked potato in the oven again. My husband and kids love ribs also. Make sure you download the app on your phone lots of recipes. Even I can cook on it. Enjoy!!
I love grilling red Bell peppers & red onions. Add a lil salt & pepper, olive oil to you’re cut up bell peppers & onions ( cut peppers & onions size of a ritz cracker) grill them a few mins till a lil chard . They are so delicious, yummy 😋
Bought my hubby a Blackstone for Father’s Day. He has never used it. But I am a griller now. Lol love it and the 4 burner would be great size for u and your family. Breakfast lunch or dinner
Everyone I know that has one absolutely loves it. You can smoke bacon in it too. You need to buy the accessories for it, drumstick wire stand, the whole chicken stand and trays to cook vegetables and one for fish. I think fish is the best on the traeger grill.
You should get the insulation blanket for the Traeger it helps with cooking in cold weather. Also they have aluminum drip pan liners, to use instead of foil, as the foil tends to burn/melt
I did that this weekend, on a little Wal-Mart grill... I cooked my very first brisket (well half of it anyway... It was still more than 5lbs for 2 of us 😆) overnight in the oven, then finished it on the grill, and also cooked chicken breast, pork chops, burgers, a pack of hot dogs, potatoes, corn on the cob, yellow squash, and cauliflower. We're set meat wise for well over a week!
I absolutely love your family!! Been craving grilled/smoked meat for a while!!! Yummm. We are big meat fans here too, but I try to give my kids as many fruits and veggies as possible!!
Yay! Solo got a Traeger! We love ours.. It's a learning curve but wow does meat taste good from it! We have hit on the perfect rib recipe and also smoking salmon, whole turkeys and chickens will make it hard for you to go back to to plain oven roasted.. lol.. Pecan, hickory and applewood are great pellets to use. Grilled, fresh pineapple is so good but I've also done baked beans. p.s. Line that drip tray with several layers of foil.. It will make cleanup so much easier as you can remove a layer at a time!
Zucchini, Yellow squash, fresh stir fry type veggies, corn on the cob, potatoes they come out soo good just lightly season them and you won't regret it!! Soo good its making me hungry!
We love to do "foil packets" with potatoes and butter and seasoning. But also for vegetables we do an asparagus and feta cheese packet. It needs a little butter or oil too but our favorite is bacon fat
So excited for you all and the Trager. We have had ours for 8 years and love it. You can use it under cover patio as well with out any problems. Solo did an awesome job for breaking it in. There’s quite a few who freak out and end up setting there pits on fire lol. And yes the meat tends to look different in the begging but when you get the hang of it you will be amazed that it’s just as good as any bbq pit if not better. Also this is a bbq pit yes you use electricity to turn it on but it’s only for the motion to feed the pellets into the fire. Ur I swing actual wood Pellets there are so many who like to ague that it’s not an actual bbq pit lol. I still have my regular pits but trager has been my to go. It’s fast convenient and smokes great. You can cook anything on it. I’ve smoked crackers made pies cakes turkeys and so on. There’s a trager group on Facebook great recipes and how to stuff and plenty of TH-cam videos. You should really smoke ur thanksgiving turkey this year you won’t regret it
I love to grill zucchini, yellow squash cut squash in long slices, corn on cob, potatoes n onions! Just brush with oil n seat! So good! Try taking whole green beans wrap with half strip bacon n grill! I have even done cabbage steaks on grill! So delicious!
My dad always barbequed fish by using a sheet of heavy duty foil under the fish and fish with a smoky flavor can't be beat. Salt, pepper, a little butter and spritz of lemon juice while cooking.
Y'all even make cooking outside so much fun!! We have a 6 burner Camp Chef flat top cooker, my husband makes the best chicken stir fry on it !! Everything tastes better cooked outdoors!! Enjoy your Trager!!
I love to grill corn on the cob and zucchini. It is so delicious 😋 Your family is truly adorable. Thank you for sharing this vlog. I really enjoyed it.
We don't have a Traeger but we love 1 inch slabs of zucchini and eggplant on the grill. Season them, oil them, then grill. Pineapple slices and peach halves are also amazing. Mushrooms upside down. And hey, you live in Nebraska. Don't forget corn on the cob!
i don't know is their the best but my son loves his traeger and the food he cooks or smokes has been great so i think your family will love it like we do
Sure.. i will house swap... its just starting to warm up down here😄 be sure to bring your bathers just 5 minutes from the beach.... i like the cold, i have never ever seen snow😲
Try wrapping the bacon around asparagus and brussel sprouts with garlic butter sauce, it tastes amazing. If you just want to try a grilled veggie. Squash, zucchini and corn with garlic butter also taste really good on the grill.
I have put asparagus in a disposable tin pan and add butter, salt and pepper and cover with foil. By the time our steak is done the asparagus is also! I am sure you can do it with Brussels sprouts and other veggies also.
We grill dades wraped in bacon, wedges of red onion, mushrooms and our favorite crushed potatoes (parboiled, make the day before if you want. Leave skin on) crush them/more flatten them out and put some garlic infused butter on them. Takes 5 minutes on the grill, just needs to get warm - YUM!! 👍
Try wrapping asparagus in foil with butter garlic and shake parmasean cheese and putting it on the grill it is SO YUMMY one of my favs!!! I also do squash and zucchini with onions wrapped in foil the same way with butter and seasonings that always is a hit on the grill
Off course baked beans, potatoes, grilled eggplant is great. When my children were growing up Iwould grill about 2 wks worth of meat at a time. Great idea. And...the grilled meat green salads are to die for!
In a deep pan add chopped zucchini, purple onion, mushrooms, peppers and whatever veggies you want. Add some olive oil and whatever seasonings you want. Super yummy!
Cook homemade or frozen pizza on the Traeger! It is so good! Think of it as a smoker/grill/oven and the possibilities are endless!! You can bake bread, casseroles, veggies, cookies, etc. Anything you would cook in an oven can be cooked in the Traeger.
We love cabbage or sprouts with bacon. Then add cheese last few minutes. I use a foil pan for my veggies. We do potato and onion a lot too. Love my smoker!
I love to hear Solo talk. He usually sounds like he has a smile in his voice. I think he is going to enjoy his new cooker.
My husband of 47 years and I were watching this video and he got up and cooked us some bacon! We had already ate supper!! Love your family and your videos!!!
Having all the meat cooked ahead of time is SOOOOO HELPFULLLLLLLL!!
Ha ha I laughed so hard when the Bratt fell to the ground, my husband would have done the same thing as Solo!!!!
Maybe I misheard, but he said ”five-minute rule”? 😂😂😂
The fire is hot enough to kill the germs right?
@@limeparticle we say 5 second rule in the UK
Eh. Just rinse it off and throw it back on.
I'm from the UK, Solo's got 'Worcestershire' nailed 😅
🤣🤣🤣🤣 he did and I’m not from the Uk
I say Worcester Sauce!
He nailed it...we don’t say the shire part though....just Wooster sauce 😂😂
@@Pixie650 lol yes that’s what we say in my house too
He did nail it although from the west mids we say Worcester pronounced as wusta 🤣🤣🤣🤣

You will not regret your Traeger purchase!! We love ours. For sides we usually throw together whatever veggies we feel like, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans, carrots and some quartered potatoes in foil pan and roast 😋
Grilled asparagus, seasoned with Montreal steak seasoning. When it’s done, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Yum! Yum! Yum!

My husband did the same thing. Went to Home Depot for one thing and came back with a traeger! It's been two years and we love it

Oh I never thought of that. I’ll definitely have to try that.
My favorite grilled vegetables are asparagus, mushrooms, and radishes!
I learned about the radishes from Jill, Sarah's sister in law. They're a low carb substitute for potatoes. They have a different texture but not bad.
Sarah I was really expecting some ASMR with the crispy bacon you ate🤣🤣. Tory is growing so beautifully, she looks exactly like one of my former Church School children who is now of blessed memory- she warms my heart each time I see her. Blessings upon your family.

We do watermelon, peaches and pineapple on our Traeger. Also, avocado and squash on the grill are fantastic! Corn to!!
wrap onions in foil...a tbsp of butter and brown sugar.
@PragaMaterUrbium we were shocked when we tried it but it’s our go to! Add some basalmic and feta after it’s grilled!

We don't have a Traeger but we love 1 inch slabs of zucchini and eggplant on the grill. Season them, oil them, then grill. Pineapple slices and peach halves are also amazing. Mushrooms upside down. And hey, you live in Nebraska. Don't forget corn on the cob!
i don't know is their the best but my son loves his traeger and the food he cooks or smokes has been great so i think your family will love it like we do
The greens are beautiful

Sure.. i will house swap... its just starting to warm up down here😄 be sure to bring your bathers just 5 minutes from the beach.... i like the cold, i have never ever seen snow😲
We have a pit boss pellet smoker. We love it. Ive smoked potatoes, corn, baked beans and mac and cheese, also meats. Ive also cold smoked cheese.
Awesome grill. Good buy
Eli is getting so long and linky. Beautiful kids. Love you all
Solo is Hilarious! "It's raining ice hallelujah... 🎶... giggled so hard at that 🤣 Happy Wednesday 😊
Solo you nailed Worcestershire sauce - well done it can be a tongue twister and tastes so good
Off course baked beans, potatoes, grilled eggplant is great.
