For the Kenyan dish recipe: Ingredients: - 2lb of cubed beef - One large white onion - bunch of collard greens or bag - two bags of frozen spinach or fresh - 6 large tomatoes - 2/3 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce - 2 tbsp of peanut butter (optional) - 2 tbsp of coconut oil - One of two cloves of garlic (optional) - Grated ginger (optional) Directions: 1. Lastly add 2 tbsp of peanut butter - Stir to combine and enjoy! - Serve over rice or by itself. There we go I tried to follow your video and write the recipe up the best I could. Hope that helps 🙂. I love all of your recipes by the way and defiantly need to try this one!!!
"I'm not a pro at cooking and filming" Hey Solo, you're doing great, considering some of us can't even do one of those things good by itself lol. He is right though cooking at home does save a lot of money instead of constantly eating out. Having new recipes likes yours sure does help in mixing up dinners.
I am SO glad they Solo mentioned adding PEANUT BUTTER to the sukumo wiki !!! I’ve made it at least 3 times before and I added the peanut butter !!!!!! SUCH AN AMAZING IMPROVEMENT !!!
YES, I know what language that was! Judah, come join us here in Japan. Lots of work to do! The churches are small but the people are wonderful. My husband and I have been here since 1981 and are getting ready to retire soon. We need young people with a passion for Japan.
I am sure if you calculate your home cooked meals versus eating out, you probably save 80-90%. We ate at McDonald’s the other day and for two adults it was over $15. Last night we had two very nice store bought steaks and baked potatoes for about $20. I’d much rather spend the $$ on steak than fast food! I love how you work together to make meals for the week. So smart!
Hey Solo,Thank you so much for a different meal choice! Going to try it with peanut butter and I thought perhaps some brown rice and corn BREAD. We LOVE watching You, Sarah and the kids. May Our GOD Continue To Bless Your Family.🙂🙏❤
Sarah this is exciting My children and I are learning about Kenya in homeschool for two weeks. Of course We watched your Kenya videos but now we can make a delicious dish to go along with it. Perfect timing !!!! Thank you guys
After watching you make sukuma wiki many times over the years Solo, I finally gave it a go tonight, and it was a hit with everyone! So yummy, and such a great way to use up kale and spinach from the garden, and stew beef from the freezer. 😊
I love that Solo gets involved too, even when it is outside of his comfort zone. I live to see the way you blend your heritage and try mew things together.
My Brother in law went to grocery store to help out my sister who was making lunch at church. He came back with several bags of potato chips. My sister asked why he didn't get "party size" bags. He said he thought smaller size chips would go farther than big chips. He thought "party size" referred to size of chips and not size of bags!!!😆😆😆
Another great way to put up chicken is to slice it in 1” strips, raw pack it in canning jars, drop in a bullion cube and pressure can it. It makes its own broth so no liquid needed. You then have shelf stable chicken for a gazillion dishes. It’s my favorite and most versatile home canned item to have in my pantry.
Love the vlogs and meal ideas! Just as I’m planning my weeks dinners… and Yes Solo, us UK folk can confirm you said Worcestershire correctly!! 🇬🇧 love and blessings to you 🤍
Meal prep has definitely saved us a lot of money and myself a lot of stress !! And I watch your meal prep videos while I meal prep to make it more fun.
No peeling the carrots! Good vitamins in the skins!!!! Did you know they make bags for the roaster like they do for the crock pots? Makes clean up way easier! You can order them from Amazon too! Just like the ones for the crockpot! I find the ones that are the best price and buy them because I find that there is little difference in them. But I really like the ease of the clean up because they are a pain to fit in a sink and they take up the whole rack in the dishwasher!
You inspire me so much.. I paused the video, went into my kitchen and put in crock pots two wonderful beef stews !! and put in the 0ven 5 lbs of chicken breast to slow cook... I love getting ahead and being able to freeze meals for future use !! Now back to your video !! ( with my coffee )
I never peel carrots, all the goodness in veg is right under the skin. I've tried Sukuma Wiki when I was in Mombasa, it was quite basic with a very little chicken in it but it was extremely tasty. I've also eaten Ugali and I can't remember the name of the seaweed dish eaten there by the locals, I liked that too. We weren't in Mombasa town, we were in one of the local villages in the Bamburi district. Loved the video, thank you for sharing xx Solo did say it right, we call it Wooster sauce lol.
And by scrubbing the carrots you are saving the vitamins and minerals which is great for you! I’m loving your videos and learning about you family! Just found your family’s channel about a month ago and I have when back to some of the older videos and watch them! I have love it and still am! I bet the dip would be good also if you add a couple of cans of Ro-Tel to it! I think I will back it with that and the ingredients you listed and add that and see. I’ll report back! ❤️’s from southwest Virginia!
Hello April👋 I hope my comments didn’t sound as form privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don’t normally write in the comment section but think this compliment. If you don’t mind can we be friends ?

Nice I like adding worschiester sauce to beef to yum spinach wow yummy tomatoes that's looking amazing, everything is looking good, y'all have a great weekend
Love your channel ❤ I'm have to try all these meals. All look good but Solo's meal looks the best. My hubby said we have to make that one. Have a blessed day love from Knoxville Tennessee
The Kenyan dish is very similar to a Haitian dish my mom makes called Legume. And we also eat it with cornmeal (mayi moulin) similar to polenta. 😂 The African Diaspora IM Haiti kept this dish alive in there own way! 😁 Definitely will be trying this recipe!
I've decided that, as a family, we are definitely going to cook this meal soon. So excited to try it, I've seen you make it so many times Solo. This week is the week x
Sarah, I like your meal prep ideas. I grew up eating vegetables from my grandpa's garden. I love vegetables with rice. Solo you did a good job on the video. It's like we were in your kitchen too. I'm going to use more of the green chi!ies, great idea to season food. Sarah, I like green onions too and they are easy to grow. Have a great weekend, God Bless.
Pro Kitchen Tip: Add a papertowel or 2 under your cutting board and it won't slide around on you when your cutting, at just one end, I'm sure a kitchen towel would work too! Saw Solo with a wobbling cutting board! Love your family prep meal videos!
Hey Sarah, if you dont have enough eggs for your quiche you can stretch it out with your raw milk/cream. 1 cup of eggs will setup 1.5 cups of liquid. Hope that helps
All the meals look delicious. I definitely need to try them. Especially the Kenyan. Meal. I liked the cheese shredder. I said i need one in my life. Tired hand shredding lol. And I said to myself she might be too busy to be putting the things she uses on her Channel. They're not going to look all the recipes are there and the Amazon favorites I put a few or more things in my wish list like to Shredder and also the baby items because I have my first grandbaby girl. I have two sons no girls and all grandsons now my first grandbaby girl. Thank you for listing the recipes and the Amazon favorites...✌🏽💜🙏🏽
I use stale nacho chips to make fake bread crumbs. I blend them and use the crumbs for meat loaf or coating for baking meats. Even used them for sprinkling on salads. Yummy
Thank you for letting me be part of your tribe! Have you made this in the past with rice? It really looks delicious as is. I only cook for one but can easily eyeball from the ingredients you so generously share. I love seeing your family grow and your gardening tips too! 🐸 (Fully Rely On God) 🙏
You guys do great with meal prep! I don’t have a big family but I am on low sodium/diabetic/heart healthy diet. I have to plan meals and cook at home. I don’t buy processed foods anymore. Making my own food saves us on money and calories!! Solo did great! I have to try his recipe!
I might try this for dinner for my family on a Saturday night, we have worship service on the Sabbath, so I try to fix something that’s quick and tasty! I might fix it on Friday.
Im single in this season im in right now, so dont cook alot (migh get a crockpot). But great to see what you guys are getting up to in the kitchen. God bless your sweet growing family. Hi from toronto.👍
As I watch this knowing I have a boyfriend from Israel...I chuckle because of his favorite meal that I make. He has tried this recently and cannot believe I had not made it for him. The story behind it is it is called a poor man's feast...growing up in a small fishing town you can get creative. I have made cheeseburger macaroni...ground beef mushrooms onions and cheese added to Kraft dinner....he recently got sick of that...never saw me make it either...he has tried my beef quesadillas...hamburger, onions mushrooms sour cream salsa on a tortilla shell...so my meal prep is ground beef fried with mushrooms and onions. So...this is not his favorite...he has had stew both chicken and beef...and shepherds pie(cottage pie ground beef instead of lamb apparently)...but I was in a hurry one day and I threw onions and hotdogs in margarine in a pan and threw some frozen hash browns in too...he loved it...I have found different types of hash browns to keep with variety...he is looking forward to the pre seasoned ones I bought today...and was glad it wasn't another wrap that is is sick of...so!!! He never mentioned if he enjoyed by homemade shell pasta and cheese though...so I never made it again. Have a great week...lol Jess

Place a kitchen towel under your cutting board to prevent the cutting board from moving. You can dampen the towel as well
The Kenyon dish Solo made needs a recipe! It looks fantastic! Much love from Sydney, Australia Xxo
Yes Solo! I eyeball everything when cooking, I can tell you what to put in a recipe, I can't tell you how much! love that your son enjoys cooking.

Awesome .... i can imagine what that tastes like :)
Suggestion: Put either a kitchen towel or the non skid cabinet liner material underneath cutting boards to avoid all that moving around.
Amazing video, Solo is more talented than he’ll ever admit!
Love ❤. Solo ❤
