How did you practice the section at 21-22 and do you have any tips on how to improve the upper register such as in that section? Thank you for this video
@@marydelaluzz thank you for the question! I would begin by stabilizing your intonation in the upper register. Start by blowing straight across the tone hole (not downward, but across) at a comfortable mf dynamic. Imagine aiming your air directly at the wall across from you. Get very picky with your intonation using a drone or tuner, and you’ll start to memorize how these notes need to sound (and feel) in order to be in tune. Then, start to push yourself with dynamic contrast. In order to play the notes more softly, keep your airstream somewhat fast and slightly raise the angle of your air direction (move your lips forward in an “oooh” vowel shape, and aim your air higher). Let me know how it goes for you!
