WooHoo! You've come so far! Good luck with the aircon and storage modifications.
Awesome! Love to hear that you've sorted out your GVM challenges. I often wonder how many converted Coasters are driving around illegally overweight!
I plan to get my LR/MR licence before I get my Coaster, but I will still aim to downgrade the GVM so it's driveable on a car licence... if I can keep the weight low enough 🤞
I think there would be lots of coasters that are overweight, especially those that have been downgraded to drive on a car licence.
Hi Dyani, I’ve loved watching your progress! I’ve also been doing my own coaster build, you’ve been very inspiring 😊, I’ve gone more basic, kinda no build bus build, I have enjoyed the learning process very much. I’m wondering how did you go about finding someone to do the GVM upgrade? I’m on the Sunshine Coast ( ummm rainy coast atm haha) I think we may have the same awesome mechanic 👍😁
I got on the transport dept website and looked up all the approved modification inspectors in my area and emailed them about getting a GVM upgrade.
I like the way you go about working out problems. Did you put airbags front and rear or just the rear. I have a coaster and thinking of putting airbags on the rear. Keep up the great work.
I only put them on the rear. My coaster has torsion bar suspension on the front so you can't put airbag assist on that.
@AGirlADogandABus thanks for that information, maybe see you on the road one day. Cheers
The Bus is looking great! I’m also looking into getting a GVM upgrade on my Coaster but can’t find anyone to do it. Where did you get the airbag suspension and certification from? 😊
My mechanic installed the airbags. Certification was done by an engineer in Brisbane - Andrew Bellars from ASB Engineering
@@AGirlADogandABus Thank you so much 🙏🏽. I just got my bus 2 days ago and am both nervous and excited to fit it out for full time living. Thanks for sharing your journey I’m sure it will be a very useful resource!
Will you be able to run the a/c on solar?
I just uploaded a new video showing the aircon install and I answered this question in that!
The short answer is probably yes :)
Does that GVM need a MR license or still an LR?
no LR is up to 8T
Sounds like you have quite a bit to do yet. I know it will turn out great, just hope everything fits. Can’t wait to see your videos on the new modifications.
