Check your instructions, there should be a priming function on the control unit, this allows the pump to draw the fuel through prior to the heater starting 👍

I hooked my heater up directly after the main fuel filter which is near the battery box on the passenger side, the kit came with a T piece which I used to just tap into the original line, has worked fine for years.

powertools have a potentioknob and so if you squize the knob a litlle bit then you dont get all the power(no snapped bolts) it turns slow. turn the exhaust end to the ground so water cant get in

    Great video!
Where did you tap into the diesel line? I assume you are running this off your main tank, not a separate one?

My mechanic did it for me. It's tapped into the return fuel line just before it goes back into the fuel tank. There was a section in the fuel pipes there that had rubber hose instead of metal pipe so that is where he tapped into it.

Great work. Quick question. Fuel line looks close to exhaust pipe. May be just the camera angle. How far away is it? Thanks for another informative and interesting video

The fuel line enters the heater quite close to where the exhaust comes out so for the initial couple of inches it is close, but that's the way the heater is designed so there isn't really anything you can do about that and I doubt they would make it that way if it caused problems. The fuel pump is mounted well away from where the exhaust runs so the rest of the fuel line runs away from the exhaust pipe. I'd have to get back under the bus to measure it but I don't think it's close enough to be a problem. I'll double check that with my mechanic when I see him later in the month.

@ljdavis6079 I'm more concerned with how close the holes for the aircon are to where the exhaust comes out. I didn't notice any fumes inside the bus when I did my test bit I only ran the heater for a short time. I may end up having to close them off somehow in Winter or re-route the exhaust somewhere else. Time will tell.

Did you see the video where a Pommie fella puts a adapter on the end of the diesel heater that you can heat your water with just saying cheers
