My grandmother lived in Iowa in the 1920's, before pasteurization was common there. She worked hard to get the local dairy producers to improve their sanitation practices. Children were getting sick from unclean milk. She was told more than once, "Mrs. Xxxxx, you should go home and take care of your family." My grandmother did not take kindly to their words and the veiled threat that she should not interfere with the way they wanted to do things. She persevered. And eventually modern practices came to small-town Iowa. We should have put a woman in charge on November 5, 2024.

While I agree that there is nothing wrong with David trying to start a movement with these other lefty podcasters but some of these guys use hyperbole and sometimes blatantly leave out important context when reporting to their audience, which is misleading. That is the only part I can't stand from both sides.

In Australia a Many schools have vegetable gardens and it is not just about healthy eating it is about kids learning where food comes from and how to grow them and they don't grow in a plastic bag. They also learn about health soil, worms, biodiversity.
Yes and rural schools do Ag as an examination subject. They exhibit at local Horticultural Shows and at bigger shows like the Royal Easter Show in Sydney. However I have met plenty of city based kids who don't know where milk or eggs come from.

I have the same question about trans men and women. They have a hard enough time in this world. Do we really need idiots to make it harder for them? And how will they check? There are some trans individuals that look very much how they identify. You would never know they weren't male/female at birth. Everyone should have the right to be who they are and love who they love.

One thing David, all of us that have type 1 diabetes had no choice, we had this disease thrusted upon us when we were born. No amount of dieting or exercise is going to cure it. There is no cure for us. Our pancreas is just in there holding up our spleens doing nothing. And now for a while I have had to ration my insulin and have a stockpile that is about 8 months worth. You see, I've had this wonderful gift everybody's sky daddy decided to give me, for 40+ years and now I am up to 5 bottles of one kind and 2 bottles of another kind per month. I am nearly 70. 1976 was the first time I was old enough to vote in an election and remarkably, it was one of the few times I was enthusiastic about voting FOR a candidate. Yet I always feel responsible for determining which of the 2 viable candidates will do the most damage to America, and voting for the other one. I don't believe we have the luxury not to bother voting because we aren't thrilled about voting FOR someone. One of them will always be worse than the other, and it's not at all hard figuring out which one it is.

Two people that I know refused to vote for President because they didn’t “like” either one. I’ve asked them both (and will ask again 6-12months down the road) if they’re happy with their non-vote. I’m so angry with people like that. It seems like a very childish reason to not vote.

50 years ago my brother was diagnosed with ADHD. My mom refused Ritalin. She also followed the doctors suggestion that she cut out FOODS WITH EXCESS DYES. We stopped eating candies and boxed foods with excess sugars and salts. The diet was a big part of controlling his condition and it worked.

Can the bathroom thing solution be as simple as a third bathroom choice? Can we just have a bathroom that is available to everyone? Keep the men's and women's rooms, but add a third room to those who just don't identify with either? Yeah, I fully realize I'm not the first to recommend this choice, but it's still a sound solution.

There were two female to male transgender men who would be required to use ladies bathrooms, one had a thick beard and the other was a muscly young guy also with a trimmed beard. I would prefer as an older woman to have neither come into a facility I was using. Just as I would hope no transgender woman would be required to use a men’s restroom, especially given the way the “real” men behave. As to installing a third bathroom, good luck with that; there’s insufficient ladies rooms in places like cinemas already.
Do you not realise it is part of the AGP fetish to go into our spaces, often photographing themselves posting it on Tik Tok or boasting about it on Reddit. They have no desire for a third space which would ensure that women have their dignity and privacy respected or in a third category in sports which would ensure fairness to female athletes. My oldest grandson saw a McD ad with a plastic rally car, so they succumbed and bought a happy meal, then granddad spent ½hr modifying it, so the wheels would stay on🙄 My 5yr old grandson learnt a lesson & said he won't be eating there again. In alot of places in Europe, public restrooms aren't split up by men and women. They're split up by floor to ceiling private stalls. There was a dude taking a piss in a stall next to me. @@kimkenway845 The reason tarrifs might not work for you is you guys have outsourced most of your local manufacturing elsewhere. My country has put a lot of tarrifs on Chinese products, in a sensible manner, while also developing our local manufacturing capabilities. Now comparing the costs, yes initially they were a bit higher but eventually in a couple of years costs came down and now everything is just fine. We are less dependent on them, we have created job for our people and in a lot of sectors we have become an exporter. That's just one example of how tarrifs might work.

I am nearly 70. 1976 was the first time I was old enough to vote in an election and remarkably, it was one of the few times I was enthusiastic about voting FOR a candidate. I don't believe we have the luxury not to bother voting because we aren't thrilled about voting FOR someone. My country has put a lot of tarrifs on Chinese products, in a sensible manner, while also developing our local manufacturing capabilities. Now comparing the costs, yes initially they were a bit higher but eventually in a couple of years costs came down and now everything is just fine. We are less dependent on them, we have created job for our people and in a lot of sectors we have become an exporter. That's just one example of how tarrifs might work.
