  • There are lots of little pickups out there that run this same torsion setup. If you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments.

    Thanks bud I put 31 inch tires off a Toyota Tacoma they fit the back of my 1989 b2200 but the front wanted to rub when I turned going to do this when the weather clears it should fit then.

      I didn't know you could fit that tall of a tire under one of these little pickups, is your B2200 a 4x4 or is it the 2wd?
      Good luck I hope it works for you!

    Perfect video, do you think it’ll be the same for a 4x4

      Thanks, I have no experience with a 4x4 but if it has the torsion springs then it should be the same

    Did you jack the front end up ? That removes all pressure

    • @ImaginaryMachines
      @ImaginaryMachines  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, you must jack up the vehicle to get the front end off the ground.
      If you remove the torsion spring bolts without jacking up the vehicle then the vehicle will collapse on you

    • @Ra-ml1it
      @Ra-ml1it 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ImaginaryMachines it won't collapse you...it will be more likely to strip the bolts. And wear yourself out. Maybe add the jacking up the front end in a future video for newbies that are here to learn

    Iv a 98 ford courier it's to high I'd like to lower it a bit not over expensive ' is rear set up the same? One splin al round?

    • @ImaginaryMachines
      @ImaginaryMachines  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would have leaf springs on the back, you could probably remove a leaf spring if you wanted to go lower, however it is going to limit what you can haul

    You have to get an alignment after raising or lowering a vehicle.

    Did you have any problems with a tick from your top end after doing this? I lowered my rear 2 inches and a ticking started.

    • @ImaginaryMachines
      @ImaginaryMachines  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No not at all, is the tick all the time or just when your moving?

      @@ImaginaryMachines it starts off a min or two after starting the truck real quite then gets louder and then stops for 30 or so seconds then repeats. Its wierd, i pulled the valve cover off yesterday to check the valves thinking maybe a rocker but they're solid. Im stumped..lol

      @@ivanwallace3296 Probably check Ur oil pump it may not be supplying enough oil to the rockers n that's why it ticks
