Yeah I’ve lost one of my most anticipated varieties to my windy boiling hot yard, a video on acclamation would be very helpful Ross thanks you’re Boss🙃

This is the only video that I found on you tube that says cutting air layers after they go dormant. This makes a lot of sense to me.

Ross. You have solved my dilemma. I was worried about a big LSU Tiger air layer that took longer than expected. I think you would appreciate the trunk layer this is.

Yes I was overzealous with some of my air layers. I was too concerned with root systems becoming root bound. Looking at your air layers I realize I had time to allow for more root development. Like they say life is a learning process. Thanks for the
    Insights and info.👍

You seem to do well with container grown figs. Mine really steuggle. Its really tricky because fig tree love water, but the fruits dont. That along with the whole summer heat stress, which really stunts their growth.

@@AM-lz2jr Warmer parts of GA need mulch on top of the containers. If your trees aren't growing and their isn't an abundance of fruit on those trees, you're not watering enough and the soil is too warm. Mulch more and water more.

Iv started doing some air layers, iv already started many new plants via cutting, but it seems like air layering will skip a few months ahead in terms of growth, and with less risk of failure and without delay in growth, i and might stick with that method primarily.

hey Ross. A friend of mine in Utah has two Desert King. One only leafs out in August (second year it has done this) and they are next to each other. The other is normal. Have you heard of any reason for this? I trust you:)
