They should've put the show on pause for several years until Martin could finish his work. People wanna blame the cast, but it was honestly just a bad situation to be in. Nobody could live up to RR Martin's work even if D&D had better writing, it still wouldn't have been satisfying unless Martin created something on par with Storm of Swords or his past works.
I feel like I can't get on with my life now until I find out who kicked their lunch of a cliff.

Will miss GoT reviews. This series was what gave him a big boost. It was great watching GoT with you OzzyMan.

Ozzy dude, you’re so likable that everyone will forgive the final season just because you’re associated with asking the crew about Aussie slang.
But yeah, most of the cast seem genuine. I think D&D deserves the hate though.

It's not the casts fault at all either. I don't agree with the hate given to any of the actors. As far as they were involved, they worked their asses off for the final season. Also, D&D's writing didn't live up to the books at all, but it shouldn't have been all on them to finish an epic fantasy that George RR Martin can't even finish himself. The only solution that would've worked is if they put the series on pause until Martin finished his books and that would've taken years. Pretty sure that even if D&D had better writing it still wouldn't have been a satisfying ending to the series.
@@stahliboi6249 I agree. Knowing that the whole series ends up in a pile of shit takes away its rewatch factor for me. It's a shame. The prophecies and the question of Jon Snow's heritage now means absolutely nothing, and they were a bit late of the earlier seasons.
The cast hated that dumb script as much as we did. Poor gladiators.
The Humanity
Yeah, I never blamed the cast. Due to people aging, crew members moving onto different projects, and Martin potentially never finishing his books, there were too many contracts involved to put the final seasons on hiatus unfortunately. That said, originally there were plans on more seasons, but D&D weren’t interested. So they agreed to 8. It was a bad sign, as it looked like they wanted a quicker exit to go work on other things. They pretty much screwed the fans.
It's a shame nobody gives a crap about this show anymore. I want to see an interview where the cast are asked the questions we really want answering. I want to hear them say what they really feel about that final season.
Sign of a good interviewer: they're just so excited and engaged when they give their responses. Ozzy always makes a compelling straight to the fuck point argument aye

So glad Jerome Flynn came out of his hiatus and played Bronn, he brought so much to the character and he's definitely my favourite.
I liked Bronn but Jerome Flynn has got his head stuck up his own arse.

For me l have just totally lost the spark and love i had for game of thrones and it really does leave me feeling a bit empty still, never have I been so excited for something the way I was for the last season and waited so long to be left with the feeling that we had been robbed as fans after all these years. Even now watching the actors talk I feel like before even though it's over I would of still had joy listening to them speak and get interviewed but I don't, I'm just left feeling flat about it about what could have been great towards the end, it had so much potential and we could of had another few seasons out of it which is what it needed not to be rushed but D&D killed it. when they bring out the other series related to it in the future I feel like I'm not going to be able to enjoy them as much as GOT because I'm still left with this feeling, I had so much hype for it and everything to come after but like I said I'm just left feeling flat, they won't be able to top it or even come close I'm the future, they had a masterpiece and shot themselves in the foot. Rant over that needed to be let out 😂.
My favorite part of these interviews is watching the GOT cast look bewildered at the Ozzyman at the start of the interview, then over the course of the interview just relax, then finally start to realize just what a nice guy Ozzyman is...

This has been the first GoT content I have watched after the finale as I couldn’t come to terms with the end. Thanks for making something fun so I could re-engage with it. Not watching this series again though, can’t go through that heartbreak again.

GOT was gonna be the best series ever..
Then: season 8 happened.
It was pretty bad in season 7 as well, but people were still in denial. And it was already pretty inconsistent in season 5, after the book material was all used.

khcstewie great question, I’m keen to give it a rewatch with fresh eyes and I do think Blu-Ray or 4K quality would be interesting to see vs streaming quality. The way it was shot should age well... Story-wise, yeah, I’ve always kind of agreed with over-arching criticism that it got rushed and clunky with 7 eps and then 6 eps in season 8...and I don’t see that feeling getting better, some beats probably are gonna stand out like a sore thumb more and more. Always happy to stand by my overall love of the story and show though. It’s been a great decade of GoT overall.
i enjoyed the last season too, i think people just set the expectations too high lol, sure it wasnt as good as the other seasons, but its not a reason to stop it all

I just started watching GoT for the first time. Watched 7 and a half seasons in the last week. Cant wait to finish season 8 today. This was fun to watch, hope you had a blast filming it.

Gwen Christie got shortchanged in both Brienne and Cap. Phasma. Her ending sucks balls! Come on people, the character building has been immense, and the ending just killed the character.

It is heartwrenching to watch this amazing cast work so hard for all these years and get handed down the worst writing and worst ending of any series in history.

I see people are still acting like drama queens about the last few episodes (btw I wasn't happy with season 8 either). Better be careful though or RR Martin will go the way of George Lucas and sell GoT to Disney and we'll all be wishing we had been nicer about the prequels, I mean season 8.

I LOVED THIS ISSUE OF THE OZZ MAN!
So this was recorded before season 8 was published, that means many of these actors didn't know what a hash job the directors and producers did. In fact they probably didn't know about anything except for the scenes they were in. I bet they thought, well there most be other scenes to make what they did make sense.
It was the writing that was at fault for season 8. Not much else.

These press junkets are tremendously tedious. The journalists and television hosts dress alike and ask the same pathetic questions on repeat. You can tell how relieved these actors are to sit down with a real person asking fantastic questions. Good on ya Ozzy Man!
