    I have looked at several demos on how to repair porch chairs. Yours is by far the best! My swing covering rotted and I will try your idea. Your directions are so detailed that I'm sure I can do it.

    Best thing is to bring it into a shelter so the winter does not ruin your ropes. Take care of your funiture and it will last. I like the fix on recycle of patio furniture. Great Job.

    You have no idea how mad I get when the seat rots out. I'm so glad to see this. My beach chair rotten out on me while at the beach. Lol. My butt was on the sand with the chair.around me. Hahahaha.

    Thank you for your demonstration. I totally agree, our chairs are also still in good condition but the fabric is brittle. This is exactly what I was looking for.

    Thanks for the tutorial. I have a swing where the fabric rotted out. I bought the weave fabric, but it was so difficult screwing holes into the edges. I like this weaving technique a lot better. Looks stong and i like your other wrap around technique too. I love re-purposing & fixing quality items too. Thanks for sharing!!!

      I used polypropylene rope which is strong, doesn't hold the moisture and is rot resistant. Thanks for watching.

    My daughter was ready to throw the old set & I knew there was a way, & glad I found you. How much weight does it hold? How much rope did you use for this specific chair? Did you use all 100'?
    Thank you.

    • @moneywithjustliving5258
      @moneywithjustliving5258 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It hold over 500 pounds because of the strong weave. The rope says 750pounds so that's quite a bit.

    you should actually show us on the video how you actually do it instead of just talking about it but either way thanks for sharing your experience and using a cheap rope like that is definitely much more affordable than buying the much more expensive strapping stuff.
