This game was one of the most amazing story lines I have ever played. This song in particular has more impact I think after having completed it. This remix just makes it so much better.
It's a shame you had to quit this project, because your renditions are amazing. They ride a fine line between being "spot on" for the original song, while still managing to be their own thing... a concept the Secret of Mana Remake OST should have followed.
PLEASE!! We need more Terranigma music! No one does it like you do! =) I am sure I am not the only one who has a special place in his heart for these tracks!
@@MalcolmRobinsonMusic I remember the creative AWE64 with the midi surpassed the original but this is the closest I've heard!!!! Tip my hat to you sir!!!
Best cover of this on YT for sure! Totally disagree re: the complaint about the "low frequency content" - that driving bass line is absolutely essential for this song!! Love Terranigma so much - we got gypped here in The States! I played it many years after it came out on an emu and it totally holds its own against the likes of CT, FF4, FF6, etc..Had such a great soundtrack, too!
When I was listening to the Elemental Stars from Golden Sun, this came to mind immediately because of my old days of listening to them both on vgmusic back in the midi glory days. I thought to myself how awesome it would have been if you had done this one as well. Bottom line. You. Are. Awesome! I never noticed this one in your videos before. Thanks for being so unreasonably amazing as to have made this nearly 3 years before I realized it was absolutely necessary for you to make it.
this is an indescribable moment for me.....this song has stuck with me for years after playing this game and I constantly list it in my top 5 greatest games I've ever played. hoping for more from it
yiggdrasill I have similar feelings about this game, which is one of the reasons I decided to do this remake. The other reason is that I couldn't find any high quality remakes that use either a live orchestra or current-gen sample libraries, so I figured I could try to fill the void. I'm really looking forward to making more!
I'm lucky enough to play this (barely made it to the Ra Tree, how the hell do I open bulbs) and the soundtrack has been nothing short of enchanting. You've somehow managed to improve the Underworld track by miles and I'm so glad I found it. What a masterpiece.
I love Terranigma and its soundtrack, and finally I found a masterpiece remixes. Sadly you only did two... I hope someday you could do more. Either way so much thanks!
i was 12 years old and went to the city to buy me a new snes game... there was no testing nor internet to research about good games or not. only way for me was looking at the back of the box to see some in game footage... them first looks i was sold instantly went back home started it ... got stuck on the first room when you first leave the bed ( hell did i know i could walk against the wall to the next room hah! ) after a while a good friend came over and he to was sold from the start. problem was we didnt speak or read english and used on our own term a english 》dutch dictionary our parents were shocked they didnt even know english that much. thank you for the great music, i think i hook up the snes a go for a playthrough thank you thank you thank you !!
+dios mios I'm glad it brought back memories for you! I had a similar experience with Crystalis for the NES. I had no idea whether it was actually a good game, but the cover and screenshots looked okay. It ended up being one of my best game purchases and it turned me on to the action-RPG genre, so it was natural for me to play Terranigma later on.
I dont even think "really great" is a good enough description of how good it is. Its actually the second best game ive ever played. Of all time. Funny thing is that my favourite game of all time is also a SNES game. Amazing console, truly was.
Yuckpulver I'm glad other people like this game too. It was a really epic action RPG with a haunting soundtrack, but very few people in North America ever heard of it. I have a couple more Terranigma tracks in the works at the moment. I was planning to finish Light and Darkness a while ago, but I ran into some problems sequencing the string runs, so it's been put on hold for the moment. I'll take another crack at it soon. Thanks for the comment. :)
Malcolm Robinson Music We in europe got lucky, that Terranigma was released here. But on the other hand, we don`t have Chrono Trigger until the DS version. I have recently played Xenogears for the first time. Great game. If you are taking requests, maybe the Xenogears OST is worth a look :-D Light and Darkness is a great piece of music:-)
Yuckpulver I didn't know that Europe missed out on the SNES version of Chrono Trigger. At least you got it in the end though. :) I love the Xenogears soundtrack and I'm going to do a few tracks from it eventually, maybe in 2016.
Sir Gustav I'm glad you liked it! This isn't my most popular remake, but it has gotten a lot more views than I expected. I really want to do more of Terranigma, but I've gotten tied up with other projects. I'll do my best to get more Terranigma tracks out this year!
Malcolm Robinson Music Yeah, I've heard your remakes and all are pretty awesome. But in the info says that you'll make more of Terranigma, so I had to say that I loved this and you'll always have my like if you upload another of Terranigma hahaha
Nice! This was the exact song I was hoping you had remastered! Excellent! Is it okay to use your tracks for a non profit game? They are amazing and would be put to good use In an actual game! Thank you for making these amazing remasters and bringing back memories
Fantastic! Well done. There are many other versions, but I find that they tend to have the horns hit too hard. This is a great example of how to handle horns in an orchestration of VGM.
BecketTheHymnist Thanks! Orchestral mixing has always been a little tricky for me, but I do my best. I like to keep the horns in the background when they're not playing the main melody.
That's the track that's also known as Top of Saint Mountain, right? I really love that track and I'm excited to do it. I'm not sure when I'll do it, but it's definitely on the list!
Awesome track! Btw. did you make the logo yourself too? Just asking because I'm looking for this fancy Terranigma Logo font. Sadly I don't find it anywhere :(
Tim S. Fischer - Composer Thanks! Yes, I made the logo myself in Illustrator, but I didn't make it from scratch; I used the official box art, converted it to vector, and then messed around with it a bit. To my knowledge, there's no Terranigma font anywhere. It's such a strange font too.
In my opinion one of the best soundtracks ever made!!! I live this game and the music *~*
+Xehanort & Sc4ry It's definitely one of my favorite soundtracks. I'm glad other people like it too even though it's not a very well known game.
mine too!!!!
Same here
This game was one of the most amazing story lines I have ever played. This song in particular has more impact I think after having completed it. This remix just makes it so much better.
+Randar Zalthor
Thanks! It's an epic game with a great soundtrack, so I figured it needed some attention.
And rightly so. I think I know what I'm sharing tomorrow. ;)
It's a shame you had to quit this project, because your renditions are amazing. They ride a fine line between being "spot on" for the original song, while still managing to be their own thing... a concept the Secret of Mana Remake OST should have followed.
The Secret of Mana Remake OST is one of the greatest tragedies of our lifetime.
PLEASE!! We need more Terranigma music! No one does it like you do! =)
I am sure I am not the only one who has a special place in his heart for these tracks!
Finally! Someone who can do this incredible track some justice! Amazing remix!!
+Moop Bread
Thank you! I'm also planning to do the other overworld theme (Light Side Field/Further into the Wide World) sometime this year.
Malcolm Robinson Music Yes! Light Side Field would sound incredible! I look forward to it!!
@@MalcolmRobinsonMusic I remember the creative AWE64 with the midi surpassed the original but this is the closest I've heard!!!! Tip my hat to you sir!!!
I have to say that Terranigma have the best soundtrack I’ve ever heard in a game. I love it all.

I also would love to hear Crysta / Hometown theme. That song is so incredibly beautiful and soothing. It always stood out to me!
Such a haunting and gorgeous underworld theme.
No matter how many times I hear this song, it always gives me goosebumps.
The feelings from this soundtrack 😮
One of my top 3 snes games. This is one of the most powerful and incredible tracks on the soundtrack.
Good choice and perfect reproduction!

With A, is not that hard XD are you still playing Terranigma?
So beautiful ! Great cover of The Departure !
Well, wasn't this a goldmine of old musical master pieces ... Well done!
you have my support, im grateful for people respect to the sheltered masterpieces of games
DissonantZero Thanks! I appreciate the comment. I'll have more tracks from Terranigma soon. The next one will be Light and Darkness, the intro theme.
awesome I look forward to it very much :)
I love Terranigma and its soundtrack, and finally I found a masterpiece remixes. Sadly you only did two... I hope someday you could do more. Either way so much thanks!
a great track, and definitely one of the greatest games made by enix before the merger. love the work!

Never played this game, or even heard of it, but the music is amazing!
Play it, if you like realtime combat (like zelda) and JRPGs, cause it's a really great SNES game.
I dont even think "really great" is a good enough description of how good it is. Its actually the second best game ive ever played. Of all time. Funny thing is that my favourite game of all time is also a SNES game. Amazing console, truly was.
Miyoko' masterpiece
Beautiful epic story, and Beautiful epic music
i cant wait untill you do an updated version of this one day. its got so much potential.
omg omg omg omg.... please make more? You are awesome!
What a beautiful song, it's as if it were in medieval times, but I would like there to be a remake of Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma.
One of my favorite tracks of my all time favorite game since its release. Great remix.
Yuckpulver I'm glad other people like this game too. It was a really epic action RPG with a haunting soundtrack, but very few people in North America ever heard of it. Ohhh uno de mis juegos favoritos de snes. Notable la versión orquesta.
I love your version of this song, thanks for sharing!

I'm still not 100% sure which tracks I'll do for Terranigma, but Dark Gaia will probably make the cut.
Well, amazing.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm glad you like it and feel free to use it in your non-commercial projects.

Can you do an orchestrated version of Sacred Summit/Greycliff?
That's the track that's also known as Top of Saint Mountain, right? I really love that track and I'm excited to do it. I'm not sure when I'll do it, but it's definitely on the list!
Yeah, that's the one. Looking forward to it.
I was expecting more orchestral remix of Terranigma :'( Are you going to make more???
Awesome! :)
*STANDS UP AND APPLAUDS*
Terranigma ftw
WOW
Terranigma!!! O: ❤ Thanks u! T-T
conoces este juego? :o
If I ever depart on a journey, I hope this is played while I'm walking when you see me from behind
Underworld and Overworld are BOTH remixes of Ressurection/Into the Door.
This feels like how it'd be in ps1
Awesome track! Btw. did you make the logo yourself too? Just asking because I'm looking for this fancy Terranigma Logo font. Sadly I don't find it anywhere :(

Please do the Crysta theme of this game
cool man! i also listening @robertheuser orchestrations
Possibly fit for Cthulhu imo
I really like your versions. Check out kitaras versions. They're also great!
breh do prime blue
The bell is great but the strings and flute in the first bit are a bit underwhelming
