This makes the whole Tour spectacular- no matter what happens at the end.
agreed. Mission accomplished.
@@JohnJohnson-he1yv stage 1-2 to France, stage 3 to Africa, first time, Cav #35: a wonderful TdF !
💯 🎉
Totally amazing, this guy is a machine and even his age scares other riders with his power.
GOAT!!! It came a year late but you finally got your win. Congrats man
3 years late. It was supposed to happen in Paris 2021 lol
@@CiclismoPeba There was a lot of background stuff including maybe not being as fit, but efforts were made to have this not happen at all. Some countries in cycling did not want a British rider breaking the record of Eddy. Those old rivalries are still there waiting for a reason to flare up.
The tour needs more personalities like Cav. He is not a robot and rides on emotion. He doesn’t hide the way he feels and it makes you root for him! Congratulations Cav, you deserve this so much!
Legend of the sport! Brilliant achievement 🎉
I started following cycling in 2012 when I was just a kid in junior high in China, not the target audience for the sport of cycling per se. I spoke little English, had no power in my legs, and had a crappy mountain bike that I rode to school everyday. Ball sports never interested me. Instead, I was hooked by images and videos of TDF. Specifically this man, Cavendish. I recall vividly the clip in 360p where he sprinted in T-Mobile jersey like a rocket on the Champs-Elysee. I dreamt of becoming a pro cyclist due to his influence. Despite being unable to actualize that dream 12 years later, I'm thankful for all he has done for me, and for millions of other fans who are inspired by him!

Fair play and credit to you man. Thanks for sharing your story
Keep going man
Really good comment, shows how great sporting heroes can inspire so many others to achieve, not necessarily on the world sporting stage but on a personal level. Cav´s story is one of the greatest.

Congratulations Cav!
This man is absolutely unique, the best sprint of all time
This man bring tears to my eyes every time i hear him speak. He is just so lovable. Heart always on his sleeve.
total and utter awesomeness
so happy for him. Been following his career for some years now and he definitely deserved it! What a day! What a Tour!
He showed us why he's the best today. He made it look easy. Congratulations to a legend.
I was sad when Wout Van Aert beat him on Champs-Élysées because it would have been a great way to break this record and for the past two years, I've been rooting for this single win. To be honest, I thought it was impossible for him to win again but it makes me really happy that he has proved me wrong. Congratulations Cav, a well deserved victory and record
SACRIFICE, SUFFER, ENDURE - REPEAT. Legend!
More than well-deserved ! ! ! Congratulations Mark Cavendish ! ! ! Manx Man ! ! !
YES. THE MAN👍👍👍
i think everyone was rooting for him. i am so happy for him. i feel a weight lifted off the tour. its a great way to finish a wonderful biking career.
I don't even watch races and only wanted to see him break the record 😀
No one can ever say he doesn’t deserve this. The man went through hell and came out the other side. Inspirational. That’s exactly what sport is about. Amazing determination to win.
His Dream has come true. He's Beaming! 😁🌟
So sweet to see your family on the Podium up there with you! ❤
Congratulations Cav🎉👏!
Abdoluteley brilliant. Top team work. Regards from ZA.
Congratulations Mark!!!!
Legend!!!!!
What a gent. Towards the end you can hear the journos fighting with each other, jostling for position or something...and Mark takes control and smooths things out..."guys, guys, guys..." He's engaged, and at the same time, above the fray. Respect.
A true legend of the sport.

OH my gosh! That was fantastic to see this wonderful man "finally" getting that win. It was a thrill to watch and my mom and I are jumping up and down during the sprint and crying when he went across in first. Salutations and many congratulations to you Mark Cavendish. You have made history.
congratulations cav we all knew it was coming! definitely deserved it
You still have those mighty strong legs. BZ.
Congrats! Go and win the 36th and 37th stages now and make this record last for decades!
Look at the love from the other racers and directors. That says it all.
Vino is a brilliant guy. You can hate on him too, but it doesn't change reality.
congratulations Sir!!!🎉 fan from Philippines!
I'M SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS!
The fight for the yellow has been amazing so far (and it's the fifth stage...), Bini wining a stage and now wearing le maillot vert, Cavendish breaking the record (well deserved) after last tour's sad ending, Pogi, Remco and Jonas giving it all in the mountains, Bardet wining the first stage on a brutal breakaway, Carapaz wearing yellow and becoming the first rider in Latin America to wear the three gc leader jerseys.
I got my Altura Nevis signed by Cav at leazes park in Newcastle in 2011. Somehow i managed to leave it on a train not that long after! Wish i still had it!
Amazing story Astana qazaqstan cycling team your played a ACE Bravo Mark 🇬🇧
The best thing about the Tour de France is that every day a story is written and a life is changed forever. What a story today. We’ve been lucky to witness one of the greats.
ASTANA PLAYED THE PERFECT CHESS GAME THE WHOLE TEAM WAS SCRIPTED TO PRETEND AND FAKE EVERYONE OUT: Cavendish and the whole team did the rope a dope on all sprinters..from stage 1 to stage 4 it was the antics losing time, fake cramps, fake dehydration, team around him packing ice on him and pouring water...it was all atrap being set to destroy them all as he conserved energy for the later sprints...Smart very smart
What an amazing guy and amazing accomplishment! I didn't see the footage from the end yet but I can imagine nobody gave in just to give him the stage win and so very, very well deserved!
To surf the wheels and win by a bike length shows his class.....just brilliant.... cycling immortality completed ❤
Yes, very few can 'read' a sprint the way that Cav can!
I confess. I didn't think he still had it. Amazing!
What happened at the end of the interview?
Bit awkward that wasn't it 😂
😂😂😂
“Why you touching me” 🤣
Yeah the : Why is he touching me, he is touching me.
Wonder what it is about.
Shouted at my TV for the first time ever. Go Cav!
As a Manxman who used to hang out with this guy from naughty schoolboys, I could not be prouder. Mentality of steel for the Isle of Man!
THE GOAT 👑
When I watched his Netflix doc and at the end his kids said get it! I knew Mark would break the record! 🤙🏻
Mark’s the King…..Great job all the best! 👍👍💪💪
An amazing day for cycling. Congrats Cav!
Finish last on each stage and then beat everyone when they are tired 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Massive Respect 🔥 Winners Win and Hard Work Pays 🏆 Anyone else admire the bunny hop of the Cofidis rider over the falling rider 100m from the finish 😵💫🤯
Me too, I was relieved and amazed how quickly that Cofidis rider was able to react🙏
The guy who fell was from Lidl trek, right? Got lucky!
I also cheered for Kristoff who after chasing still made third of stage 5!!
Cava congratulation 😊
the old man showed to the youngs guns how its done!!!!
Broken record but so much has to go right to be in a good position to attack these sprint finishes and in the biggest road race on the planet he's still managing to move the gear faster than his competition out of the pack. He's a marvel and now unrivalled.
Congratulations to the greatest sprinter of all time!!!
Sounded like a Donnybrook about to break out with media at end.😄
Great interview. I'm proud of Mark Cavendish's win, but what's with that bickering towards the end?
"Why are you touching me!?" 😂
캐브 진심으로 축하드립니다
당신은 전설입니다 역경을 이겨내고 이룩한 35승리를 볼수있어서 우리도 같이 행복하네요
Legend Cavendish👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Congratulations Cavendish~!!!! You are a legend🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Congratulations, I have been following your career on the tdf since you started, Had no doubts you would break this record, Well done,
Way to go, Cav!!!!!!!!
CAVENDISH!!!!!!!
You did it !!!!!
..knew it... those drama on the starting stages is an out of the box tactics....this is a great milestone for cycling especially for those who's rooting for the missile in this 35th project... chapeau to my guy CAV!!!
I love it when 'trackies' (or at least those who started out on the track) do great things on the road!
So happy for this guy. He deserves it. Perseverance pays off my dude!
"he is washed" "go home" "this is embarrassing" eat this haters
Am I the only one who noticed the argument starting at 3:08? 😅
Lmao the reporter argument at the end
Unbelievable Cav, what a rider
I was shouting and clapping so hard my hands hurt, so happy for Cav - amazing achievement, well done buddy.
Tears of joy!
I wanted Cav to get a stage and Kuss to compete for GC. 1/2 ain't bad.
Congratulations Cavendish 🎉
Congratulations🎉 kinG👑
Patrick Lefevere ditched him when he could have won with him but he's Belgiuim and so is Eddy Merckx so maybe he didn't want it to happen? Doesn't matter now Patrick as Cav has the record and Astana will have the best photo ever in their offices for ever. Thanks Astana for believing and thanks Cav, bring on number 36?
Legend of TDF
Fantastic your a hero and an inspiration
what a legend.....a British Legend....
GOAT
Such a nice emotional guy. Example for the next generations
OK, so now we need the season 2 of that Netflix documentary.
Fuckin Right Mate.
Sir Mark ! yesssssssssssssssssssssssss.
Brilliant Cav
39 yaşında ve o son atak. İnanılmaz. Ama esas inanılmaz olan son 150 metre. Dikkatle izleyin. Kendi treni kaybolunca omuz darbesiyle doğru adamı takibi ve bu sırada sağ, sol ralli yapması. Muhteşem. Tez konusu olabilir.
Awesome Mark!
What a darling. What an achievement.
Congrats Cavandish.....you are a super man and a role model for Bini 🎉
It would be cool if Bini were the one to break THIS record!
But yeah, he will need an even stronger yet lead out train than he currently has in order to accomplish that very lofty goal.
Legend!
Always mark canvendish are the reason to bring my cycle away from my yard..🎉😂
Still wearing the helmet??? Must be a sponsor requirement. Limar helmets should sell good tomorrow.
SuperCAVENDISHexpialidocious!!!!!!!!!
Finally, we have another modern day legend!
Some crab mentality people saying it was been cooked ! Did you see what the man has been through just to snake his way out of the other sprinters like there is no tomorrow?🦀🦀🦀
These people out themselves as never having done a bike race before.
Bravo, grand respect 👏🏻👏🏻💪🏻
NOW I can die in peace!
MUCH KUDOS and major CONGRATS to the Manx Missile!!
You did it despite all of the setbacks, naysayers, and many throwing up road blocks to try and stop you in the recent past!!
IF 'King Eddy' is even HALF the sporting champion he is touted as being, he will be one of the first past champions to congratulate you on this accomplishment, either by phone, or in person. 😉
Records were made to be broken after all, even the ones set by the 'immortals' of our sport.
I so profoundly regret subscribing. I watch the replays and this spoils all the fun. It’s my fault, but I obviously won’t be watching anymore. So happy for Cav!!!!
What an absolute legend 🔥💪❤️ Well done Cav!!! Couldn't be happier for you!
SIR MARK CAVENDISH King of TOUR DE FRANCE ❤❤❤❤🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷
Great clean sprint from Cavendish. Once again Jasper Philipsen should have been declassified. Look at the deviation. His deviation may have caused Mads Pedersen crash further back.
I Watched Cav Sprint to Victory in the Second Stage of the Tour of Missouri into Cape Girardeau Missouri. That Was 2009!!
Ele é o 🐐 mais respeitado dessa etapa, sem sombras de dúvidas........
Wow, Cav's record of 35 wins could stand for 100 years, given how much of a one-off Merckx (at 34 wins) was as well.
Man what a start to the tour, so many hugely deserving winners, and i'm so happy for Cav but.....what on earth happened at the end there?! You never listened to your pop-pop? No touching!!
What a total superstar!!!!
