- Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny was released on Game Boy Advance in 2004 by Bandai. The game is a sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Battle Assault, it contains all the unlockable, hidden mobile suits and characters from the previous game plus 11 new mobile suits from Gundam SEED Destiny. The game has significantly improved compared to its predecessor, the game added new maps, characters, and voices over for special attacks.
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Contains a total of 27 Characters, 11 characters from Destiny, 14 characters from SEED, and 2 characters from ASTRAY.

Really like this game. It's a pretty decent fighter, I'd say. Super underated.
Finished this game in an emulator, 100% complete if memory serves me right. Providence was by far my most favorite. At the end of the Providence's special attack, you can chain the beam rifle to deal 1 last hit while your target falls down.
Yes you are right . It is little hard to perform. You have to time it perfectly.
@@terrythedd5999 so many of the specials require extra inputs (mwu's strike 2nd hit and the red frames final hit come to mind) also the forbidden can angle its last beam upwards by pressing down, allowing for more hits to land.

I like how the "DESTINY Mobile Suits" textbox looks just like the Natsume logo.
Really loved using Astray and CGUE in this. Really loved hunting down airborne enemies with them (looking at you, Raider and Aegis on Very Hard Mode).
There's still that side of me wishing that they should have made this game after Destiny ended, and we could have gotten the later suits. Would've loved using a Destiny here, which would probably act like Strike for its L attacks, and be agile asf.
As far as I remember, Providence and Forbidden have the longest invincible time in their special attacks. Providence cannot be targeted during the special attack and Forbidden will automatically block every attack on him. So both of their SA cannot be interrupted. For the rests, except Aile Strike (Kira) and Sword Impulse who will shortly freeze your movements, Savior who moves out of the scene several times, the rests can be interrupted by any hit on them and can be risky.
Buster's special attack is op but when it comes to combo, freedom can deal more damage and it almost draining your one hp bar
Great Gundam game to play!
I used to think this game's graphics looks really good for a GBA. Freedom makes Very Hard difficulty feel like Normal Difficulty in comparison. If there's a tier list, Freedom is straight up S tier for me.
@Kenneth Calazan to unlock Astry Red Frame you have to defeat Astray Red Frame in either Normal/Hard/Very Hard Mode. It appears randomly.

It's not random. You have to beat the 1st half without losing any round.

Freedom Gundam, being my favorite as well.
About forbidden gundam, you can actually curve the final shot of the ultimate since the 5 shot (I’m not count the scythe attack) blow the enemy on the sky

KEY NOTE ON THE COMBOS ..
Forbidden Gundam - after the first plasma shot, hit DOWN on the DPAD to curve the beam upward and get the whole 32-hit damage
Providence Gundam - hit A after 29th combo so you can get the massive damage from the Judicium Beam Rifle ---- its max combo has a total of 34 hits

Freedom Gundam special attack is my favorite...
My favorite is Buster Gundam
you can't escape from freedom gundam special attack once you touch the laser....You have a chance to escape from buster's special attack from doing a "Seed"
It is definitely one of the strongest.
After losing my GBA I continued playing this on Emulator. I could finish the hardest mode at 1000% game speed using Aegis. And CGUE was the second thing I'm best at. Idk if it's just me, but that thing was kinda OP with its normal attacks.
Also, if I remember this right, and my memory is really blurry, so someone else may have to confirm...
1. The Forbidden can curve its final beam attack upwards while the enemy is still in the air in order to hit it a split-second sooner.
2. The Providence can fire its beam cannon during the special attack, and you have to choose the timing manually.
Yes, you are right. The Forbidden Gundam can curve its final beam either up upwards and downwards. The Providence Gundam has a just frame beam cannon you can do during the special attack, it is pretty difficult to perform.
And yes, astray red frame can slash upward after the special attack
Yeah I'd say that gundams with strong melee weapons like strike , astray and cgue are easier to use if you are not that used to combos and beams and all sorts of things.

My favourite suit is actually strike (Kira or cagali) for easy combos and chaining into ult. Granted there are better suits, but strike is the way to go for me despite its low damage. While duel and force impulse plays similarly with higher damage, they feel clunky and slow on my controls.
Freedom is strike gundam on steroids. The controls are familiar with more ranged options and bonkers damage. I mean, there is one simple combo that if chained successfully, drains almost two whole life bars.
Cgue is hands down one of the most broken starting suits in this game. Lol it's regular attacks are nuts with crazy mixups. Dueling non ps armor mobile suits has never been so easy.
Strike is good
Just revisited this game on emulator. Just as hard as I remember. I mean I can finish very hard probably if I try but challenge mode feels impossible as I felt as a kid. It's probably no street fighter but I just don't have an ounce of talent when it comes to fighting games😅
Man, the normal mode is so difficult lol. The enemy also blocks all the time. Or maybe I just suck lmao

Cgue is too broken in this game lmao. Not only it can chain enemies by simply using it's regular attacks. It can tear up non ps armor enemies, it's ultimate can deplete a whole health bar of a non ps armor gundam and don't forget the broken dash which can chase down enemies very easily even if you're both at the end of the screen and it doesn't consume thruster so you can spam it without any limits.

Too many good MS in this game no wonder they didn't add destiny, legend, strike freedom, infinity justice cuz there would be too much OP MS, Strike Freedom's Ult attack might even combine freedom's full burst and providence's DRAGOON Ult...
Technically those Gundams didn’t exist yet. This game came out in November 2004 and the Strike Freedoms first appearance was July 16, 2005

How do you actually perform these ?
I always just randomly mash the buttons lol
L + R + down ?
First, Press ⬇ +L to going to the "Seed Mode" then Press ⬇ +L again to preform the special attack.

You need to block an attack during the invisible state inorder to do the counter attack.

Inorder to unlock Providence Gundam, you need to buy it from the shop for 500 points.
