HOW do you know the refresh rates of either? I have scoured both manufacturer websites as well as Amazon listings pages for this spec but can't find any mention of it.
nobody declares it officially. however when you open a live data stream and you see that you press the accelerator and the values change a few seconds after you pressed, it is clear.

Salut, am vazut ca scrie Romania / Suceava :)) debat intre TOPDON AD900bt si Autel MK808S-TS, am avut un Topdon generatie mai veche, totul ok dar majoritatea spun ca autel este mai ok cand vine vorba de functii, ce parere ai? Merci fain si sarbatori fericite!
Salutare. Nu am avut ocazia sa testez modelele mentionate de tine, dar daca ar fi sa compar TOPDON VS AUTEL, Autel e mai rafinat. Si totodata Autel e si mai scump. Eu am testat solutia lor pentru chei, KM100 si am fost impresionat de calitatea produsului si a softului.
@BestCarMods, you mention the millage correction, does that mean that TopDon doesn't have that function and if so does it at least have the function that you can see the original millage?
at the time of me testing it, topdon did not have mileage correction. There is no way of checking for real mileage.

The comments and tests are pertinent, I prefer the xtool interface, but often I notice that the special functions on xtool don't work...
what I found to help is to go the the ECU responsible with a special function and try to do an actuator activation over there. this was the case of the fuel pump of the bmw .
There's one thing I still don't understand: are the special functions in the general menu (with icons) the same as those available in the ECU menu? Are they just shortcuts to the same operations?

I am split between the two this video was great, however how do they compare when it comes to programming modules or ecu coding?
to give you a short answer, I trust more the topdon to code/programme an ecu than the Xtool. That does not mean that the xtool is not able to do it. The xtool products have some "crazy" functions that are more or less tested before being released to the public. Xtool = more functions... pushing the limits ... Topdon = safer... more refined ...

Hello friend, I have Topdon T-ninja pro but I can't program Suzuki, neither diagnosis nor programming because I have all the functions but don't get into the car
try to insert vin manually. it the problem persists send a email to topdon support and they could help.
I was leaning toward the d7w until i found out it doesn't support late model mitsubishi outlanders. Makes it completely useless for one of my cars. Now considering the topdon.
also look at Launch ... topdon uses Launch software.

Thanks for the video. The Topdon tools have good features and a nice form factor, but all of their stuff is running older versions of Android. It's a huge drawback vs others.
Now that you mentioned it, for example the Autel KM100 has Android 9 and it works really well with the hardware. But overall, older android makes many units feel OLD.
@@BestCarMods After a lot of research, I'm thinking the best value for me is the Launch CRP919EBT. It's on sale now. I'm an IT contractor, so this is more for a hobby, but I want a very capable tool. Thoughts?
@@BestCarMods The TopDiagPro and the Xtool7 are cheaper, but have fewer functions. XTOOL8BT isn't too much more..
@@dylanfinch6186 I think it is very similar to this th-cam.com/video/aaeaxifFM6w/w-d-xo.html X431 Pro Elite ... if that is the case, it is a "safe" scanner ... while the Xtools are the wild Kids ... a lot a functions that should not be there ... a bit of Kaly Linux vs Launch that is a decent Windows
Xtool D7 or D7S are the ones that are on my taste. I am biased towards the D7 because of it's speed, crazy software that allows mileage correction, eeprom reading and writing, key programming, really crazy high speed data logging that is exported in a csv.... but at the same time the functions are all over the place and some of them don't work. But with a bit of effort you make them work. Launch is too safe for me. @dylanfinch6186 @@dylanfinch6186
