    Knies is not a prototypical power forward - has size and heavy enough, but not a hitter or fighter. Solid though and will get you 20G, 25A playing on a top 2 line - $4-$5 Mil seems reasonable.

    There isn't anything he can't do. He has all the right pieces to be successful in the nhl a real no brainer to lock up for as long as you can❤❤❤

      Sure, and what pace was Matthews scoring at when Knies was on his line. It's just 3 lines made for 3 solid lines not 2 .

    8 yrs 5 yrs Bridge deal. All for naught. Knies will look at the numbers and base his decision on what suits him best.
    The existing environment puts all the power in the players hands.
    Toronto will have to look at a hybrid contract where it becomes renegotiable based on the numbers Knies puts up.
    He really has leverage but if the team wants to keep him they will have to keep him happy.

    This guy is a must and is just hitting his stride. A no brainer to not sign him. But that said this leaf management is the model for a no brainer.

    8 years at $5.7 million, I bet he won't so No to $45 million. Allowing him to go all out in his career. I mean, I'd trade him easily for Bertuzi, this kid see's the net like Matthews. And for his own sake, he's had two Concussion's ,a couple more and team's may not be lining up like before. Has to only look at the new assistant coach Savard. The Leafs were serious about trading for him from Boston, but got a Concussion that ended his playing career.

  • @paultaylor1814
    @paultaylor1814 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If they can lock Knies up at $5M long term that would be a really good contract. The problem with the Leafs in the past, especially under Dubas, is that they waited until the player was at the maximum value before signing the player, and this cost them a lot of money in the long run. If they can lock him up for 5+ years that would be great, and would correspond with Matthews and Nylander's contracts.
