    Can confirm Tank on CRF300L is steel (not plastic). Did not have any Rally300Ls on floor. According to Sales Rep they come first week 2021. Also Right side (when sitting on bike) is a single radiator and left side of tank is radiator coolant overflow bottle. That ugly tailpiece hanging down can be easily removed with four hex head bolts. Passenger pegs very nice and tight. Also kickstand base is larger so bike can be parked more easily on softer terrain. Suspension is very soft. Bike is very slim compared to 250L. Bolt holes already in frame for bolt on skid plate. Also nice little oil level glass view on left side of engine. Clutch pull is very nice, light and smooth...feels like a light hydraulic clutch. Bike looks very nice. No chance of test ride in Thailand.

    Hello from France 🇫🇷
    I miss my Yam’ TT 350 from the 80s and 90s
    114kg for 30HP, nimble, agile, good suspensions, modern engine for the times, air cooling, low consumption.. good torque, good sound, raging in high RPM, 6 gears, no complex electrics but still full road-legal 2 seaters with good looks

    I've thought for a long time that Honda should make an Africa single with 350 to 450 cc. At least they're putting decent sized tanks on their Rally bikes.

    In France, the 500CBX sells 400€ more than the roadster 500F. Applying the same recipe to the CBF 300 would give 6000€ for a CB300X but I guess a CRF300L with better suspension would me more expensive ??? Thus being said, the improvements of the CRF300L from the 250 L seem located where they had to be : more power, bigger tank, no more weight. Still, not sure that the market will follow in a world that seems unable to stop claiming that bigger is better.

    Hi. Thx for the inspiration. I'm a middle-aged man what means that I'm already half-dead. This makes me decide that is time to buy a bike after 20 years(and pass license). The problem is that like You I wish to have some 'adventure' riding. The first choice was GS800 then I look at AF1000 1100 etc, and they are all perfect bikes.. to be park outside Yorkshire Pub but too heavy for me to lift them up in rough terrain or play off-road. And too expensive and complicated - basically too posh. I started thinking about CBR500 - but it is 5 grand and an extra 4 to make it off-road ish. Mean old AF1000 is cheaper now. Then I start looking in CFR and 300 comings up were like a unicorn. 31 BPH is only in Thailand, Uk is castrated to 26 ish making my dream a nightmare. I m w8 for a new year maybe they make AT 750 based on this bulletproof motor. If not, I'm taking CRF300 with Thailand ECU.

      @@grenphelps7455 I *was* really tempted, as the maths suggested a 30% increase in power up to 31hp. In reality though (in Europe anyway) it’s only a modest 2.5hp increase. Bit wary of trail riding alone, competed in enduros years ago but now I’m getting on a bit and just out to take in the scenery ( usually ending up in it !) .... noticed Shaun A mentioned the same, .....he’s a canny lad, bit handy on those big KTM, s ! , Steve B

    I have a 2016 crf250l and I love it....but.....to be really useful it needs 2 things. 1)To be stress free at 110km on faster roads (my 250l isn't!). And 2)To have a longer range/bigger tank
    (I currently feel I need to fill up every 140km). I use mine on small roads/dirt tracks but want to make the occasional longer trip and it struggles with this. I had hoped the 300l would up the power and tank size but sadly it hasn't. The Rally has the bigger tank but still lacks those few extra ponies to be user friendly on motorway stretches. I think honda could have made the 300l much more appealing with very little effort. It'll be interesting to see the pricing.

    • @Motoeuro
      @Motoeuro  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good points Tim, I was hoping for 31hp as Thailand suggested, but we're getting 27.5 - more a baby step forward than the leap the bike needed. Cheers :D
