It's a shame that this cooler is already out of production. It's arguably the best cooler under 60mm. They released a newer IS-60 version but it is 64mm tall.
not a good test. wraith prism has like 72 degrees with 89W load while id cooling has 72 degrees with 82W (69+13 in ryzen master). you should have fixed fft size in p95.
@@AliensStoleMyCow it's was from China a few months ago and I've only just noticed, can't really complain now. It seems they are M3 3mm wide screws so just ordered some :)
IS-60 is more powerful for cooling but if your case is limited by height you might have no choice but to go with the 47k although I think the Black Ridge is probably better at that height
@@AliensStoleMyCow my case support 55mm CPU height. I'm looking around a cooler to pair with 3700x because 5600x is just overprice and I don't want to pay extra for scalper.
@@kenshin16021610 then I would go with the IS-60 as the fan is bigger so will make less noise and I've tested this on the 3900x so I don't see why a 3700x would stress it
Did you overclock? If not you need to repaste, I recommend spreading the paste into a very thin layer instead of using the pea method to spread. Don't forget this is an open air test so if you are still having problems it would be to do with case air flow.
Very good review, I would like to see this cooler against the Cryorig C7 Cooper or the Graphene edition, and against the Thermalroght AXP100 Full Copper, would be talking about the best 55mm cooler, 47mm cooler, and 59mm cooler, I saw in the channel "The Tech Buyer's Guru" a comparison that included this, the underrated ID Cooling IS 60 matching the Thermalright AXP100 Full Copper that advertise a 180W TDP dissipation, but I wonder how both compared to what it looks to be the best 47mm cooler, the Cryorig C7 Cu/G
Well this definitely beats the C7 copper as that's only 10% better than the regular C7. This seems like it will match the AXP100 copper but at less than half the price this wins hands down. You always got to look at the price. Also the AXP100 is 58mm so those 3mm could cause it to not fit in some cases.
@@AliensStoleMyCow my main question regarding IS60 vs AXP100 Full Copper in about TDP, I mean, I saw in other videos that both of them perform about the same but the IS60 is less than half the price so if you happen to know both the IS60 looks like the obvious choice, BUT, and here is what I like to know, one says is made for up to 130W TDP and the other up to 180W respectively, but processors I saw being tested were technically under 130W so the thing is, Is the difference in TDP due to how the manufactured decided to measure it? Or if are measured by the same standard, Could it be that under 130W their performance evacuating heat is basically the same, but over 130W the IS60 is overloaded with heat it’s performance reduces/tops out and the AXP100 still performs as expected/seen previously, that’s my question, and that is why I would like to see a comparison with overclock CPUs that reach 150W-200W or take very high TDP CPUs like the 220W FX9590 or the i9-7980XE(or it’s refreshes) 165W or other X series Intel CPU with same TDP to see what happens. In short I wonder if over 130W TDPs they still behave the same
@@Pro720HyperMaster720 I believe each manufacturer have their own testing methods and hence 2 heatsinks with the same TDP don't always perform the same. The LP-53 I have in my S4 mini is rated at 100w but I've test coolers that were up to 130w TDP that performed the same. I would take all TDP values as a rough estimate at best.
Man I would've loved the is 60 if only the mounting system took the noctua approach and made everything accessible from the front of the mobo. In my itx case, I would need to take the whole pc apart if I ever needed to do some kind of maintenance with the mobo.
That's a good point. It would make maintenance a lot easier but I guess they were assuming that most people won't touch it once it's installed. If they did that it would probably be noctua prices...

That is a shame. Perhaps they didn't sell enough units because people didn't know about it.
Yeah, it would have been a perfect fit into my mini-ITX build, trying to find a used one now and just planning to slap a Noctua onto it.

All these low-profile cooling system are lacking in coolers department very much, either loud or not very performant, but Noctua comes to the rescue.

Good to know you sorted it. Must be annoying to not be able to install it due to some screws
another id coolin almost silent like this, good as this, but with more high of ram?
You will have to go for a bigger tower cooler. IS-60 is the largest in the low profile range.

is it worth replace the wraith spire with this id cooling is 60?
Yes because this cools similar to a wraith prism so its better than a wraith spire.

is it has another ways to install this cooler which make ram clearance 100%??,.
You could rotate it but it won't fit on most motherboards because the heat pipes would touch the VRMs.
