I moved over to Pandora about a month ago. Oh wow. It's slick, fast and so so easy. I have read some people saying it's bugged etc, but I haven't had any issues caused by it. It works with everything and did I say it was fast, 1600+ animations in 9 seconds.

I don't know if anyone is having similar problems, but for me, installing MCO with Nemesis was causing all characters to T-Pose. I moved to Pandora and now it is working correctly. But I believe it is mostly because it is more user friendly, because it shows only the checkboxes for the mods you have installed, and running the engine is way faster. Might not be for everyone, but if you are having problems with Nemesis like me, it's worth to try.
Faster and requires less patching, for example to implement behaviors for creatures on nemesis you need a separate mod that enables that, but Pandora already has that implemented as well as many other features. It's also compatible with all nemesis and fnis animation mods.
If you're running a game with a lot of animations (hundreds or even thousands), Nemesis can take 20-60 seconds or so to complete its process, Pandora takes just a few seconds. It might sound like a small thing, but if you change your mods frequently then it adds up.
If your t posing it's because there's a mod in your list that has been deactivated and NEM is trying to find it. I discovered that when I forgot to recheck the paraglider mod box when I was troubleshooting a different issue.
@@MiTxGam3r I tried very hard to fix it, even going through all my load order and disabling every animation mod on both Vortex and Nemesis besides MCO and only leaving that enabled. Maybe deleting the Nemesis folders and reinstalling it could have fixed it, because I had to delete everything to install Pandora. But Pandora is so much more user friendly and quick that I see no reason to go back to Nemesis at this point.
Hello 👋 I have a question about animation engines. Is it possible to use multiple engines at the same time ? For example, I use Pandora with some animation mods, and I need another engine with other animation mods. Can I just add it after Pandora ? Would look like that in MO2 : - Pandora Behaviour Engine - Animation Mods - Pandora Output - Other Behaviour Engine - Other Animation Mods - Other Output PS : Are you going to make a guide about "Form 43" to "Form 44" conversions ? PS2 : Great video btw would be completely lost without your guide 👍
It's a wee bit odd. When I open Pandora as the executable, the window pops up, but there are no mods listed in the upper portion...only 2 boxes, one saying Pandora Base (which is checked) and one box saying XPMSE patch for Pandora (which is unchecked). If I run Pandora, in the lower section, it lists all the FNIS animations sandwiched between the mod and the output folder. It APPEARS to show the data in the output folder when opened in explorer. I'm running a completely fresh install to the newest version of Skyrim, but haven't played enough to see if it has taken hold. Guess what I'm about to do...any issues and I'll try to bring them up. I'm using Pandora 2.3.0-Beta. We'll see if I need to go back to a previous version or not.
Hey man. Im following your guide. i love it. but i wanted to try some things myself without fucking over the setup. I also dont want to start all over again. Is there a way i can copy my instance

@@Inceptic1 Not to mention, the developer is actually active, so features will continue to be added and bugs fixed, whereas both Nemesis and FNIS are abandoned.
Rule out if a mod is causing it by disabling mods and see if it fixes itself, also make sure you have the FNIS.esp from the previous Pandora version copied into your Pandora folder.

I believe you don't need to disable FNIS Creatures and Spells
@@Inceptic1 Thanks, now 1 more question,I suspect I already know the answer, but do I need to start a new game,or can I get away with the switch mid game.
@@dochlldy Should be fine to just switch mid game as far as I'm aware, the files generated from engines are basically temporary files that simply get overwritten when you add/remove mods. I switched mid game and had no issues
Also make sure you also grab the FNIS.esp file from the previous Pandora version and paste it into your Pandora folder, and make sure it's enabled in your plugins.
@@Inceptic1 Thanks again, but I don't know what you are saying about the previous version of Pandora since this would be my first time trying it.
Pandora is recognizing my mods but it isn't generating any meshes in the output folder I made, isntead it appears in original Steam Skyrim/Data folder, not even in my MO2 instance/root/Data folder.
I have the same issue
If there are files in the overwrite directory, do you still move them into the "output" like with nemesis?
0 new animations added is that normal? I only have two ticks in pandora
is it really THAT much better then nemesis? like what am i sacrificing if i switch? will any of my old mods stop working?
Not sure if it's just me but some fnis mods don't seem to work with pandora for some reason, it also doesn't create a fnis plugin. I'm just wondering if this is normal and will it mean I'd need to load a fresh game? Thank you for the videos
The creator forgot to add the FNIS.esp in the release. You need to download the previous version of Pandora and get that file, and then move it to your installed Pandora mod.
@@peterlewis2178 Thank you for that, also saw it on the site when I went back to redownload. The only mod that doesn't seem to work with this mod is nemesis PCEA for me, it just appears blank, but OAR PCEA I finally figured out and got it working so at least there's that, I just would need to restart my game so I guess I'll just have to wait til my next playthrough to upgrade. Thank you for the help
True directional movement crashes after switching from nemesis to pandora :/
When r we getting a new vid ? 😢
It's on its way
Greetings from Persia, may we see a tutorial for wrye bash , body slide , merge plugins , and any other utilities / apps?
Thanks for your helpful videos.
I will look into it :-) greetings from Denmark!
@ADHDecent Thank you.
Now pandora is also on nexus mod!
Can Pandora be installed everytime, even in the middle of a playtrough? Thx for your work and this great videos and guides!
Yes
yeah, just follow all the steps in the vid and it should work like nothing was ever switched, I did this with my Level 33 character and I have almost 600 mods mid playthrough and everything is normal.
@@SCSAsJorts Thank you!
@@SCSAsJortsabout the installation of combat animations mods, should i delete pandora output just like he did with nemesis?
@@luizfelipemelo1098 for me I wouldn’t cause the output helps with the overwrite, delete the nemesis output if you’re switching to Pandora but keep that new Output for pandora
So why upgrade from nemesis?
Hello 👋
I have a question about animation engines.
Is it possible to use multiple engines at the same time ?
For example, I use Pandora with some animation mods, and I need another engine with other animation mods. Can I just add it after Pandora ?
Would look like that in MO2 :
- Pandora Behaviour Engine
- Animation Mods
- Pandora Output
- Other Behaviour Engine
- Other Animation Mods
- Other Output
PS : Are you going to make a guide about "Form 43" to "Form 44" conversions ?
PS2 : Great video btw would be completely lost without your guide 👍
how do i get MO2 to categorize it like in the video?
can't find the .exe to add to mo2 or vortex after downloading :(
It's a wee bit odd.
Yep...had to revert to a previous version, but it works. I was getting the FNIS.esp error with the 2.3.0.
Hey man. Im following your guide. i love it. but i wanted to try some things myself without fucking over the setup. I also dont want to start all over again. Is there a way i can copy my instance
go to "Tools -> Profiles" and you can create more instances there
I cannot make it work on Linux, any suggestion? my error is that it cannot find .NET but I have it installed
Thank You for your work! But I am Gaming Skyrim on Linux Mint.
Pandora will not function without .Net 8.0.8!
How is it possible to install it or make Pandora work?
Yes I'm a newbie! But you are my Guru, Please, Please!
Thank You!
When i run FNIS,it detects 7.9k animations
When i run nemesis it detects 39k animations
When i run pandora detects 55k animations
Tf is happening, but running game with pandora doesn't load animation characters are just stuck
Would you share your modlist ? 😮
My modlist is currently changing daily as I test out the mods covered in the upcoming videos so it's difficult but I will be making a video on my personal choices eventually and how they are ordered
:)
So, Pandora seems pretty buggy for, a lot of animations mod, and I can't even dodge with DMCO...
Nemesis works fine though
Is it the same for vortex, cause I remember seeing vortex coming with fnis data preinstalled
Sounds good... But i'll keep a backup of Nemesis just incase this ruin my list
What is the actual modlist order?
my only issue with pandora is it's really hard to make tk dodge work
taken from somebdoy above if you haven't already tried:
@romedov882
There is a patch on Nexus for Pandora and TK Dodge. Also you should pick the standalone option in TK's FOMOD and do not pick Ultimate Combat/TK Dodge in Pandora, just TK Dodge standalone. Works like magic.
So what makes this better does it work with all animation mods?
Basically, there's a few it doesn't work with. But it's way faster than Nemesis and FNIS and significantly less buggy than Nemesis
@@Inceptic1 Not to mention, the developer is actually active, so features will continue to be added and bugs fixed, whereas both Nemesis and FNIS are abandoned.
Failed to run tool helppp
im getting t pose when i started using it how to maneuver through this im using vortex
Rule out if a mod is causing it by disabling mods and see if it fixes itself, also make sure you have the FNIS.esp from the previous Pandora version copied into your Pandora folder.
If you're using mods that require FNIS, then it might be because the Pandora developer forgot to add the FNIS.esp in the latest release. You need to download the previous version of Pandora and get that file, and then move it to your installed Pandora mod.
@@peterlewis2178 pandora in mymodlist would be sittin higher than the rest??
@@peterlewis2178 thnx its recognizing the my ostim modes still not fnis??
@@MarlonDumfey-lc1zw I don't entirely understand what you're saying, but it should be the way he shows in the video, with Pandora above all the animation mods, and the output below them. And you shouldn't have either Nemesis or FNIS enabled/installed, only Pandora.
Pandora refuses to find any mods installed mod organizer
using gog version
When i created "pandora output" it say "no valid game data"
If you're using MO2 click on the bar left of "Run" where the dropdown for all your executables added to MO2 are, click edit and select Pandora then check the box "Create files in mod instead of overwrite" and select/search Pandora Overwrite.
@@Inceptic1Hey I have an issue with this as well, maybe you can help? Modding a list by removing nemesis, but any time I try to do mod file instead of overwrite, I get a pop-up box that says "The output mod 'Nemesis UBE' for Nemesis does not exist. I'm just like that's the point lol, but can't manage to figure out how to fix it
Ah of course I figure it out shortly after. I just needed to remove the executable from MO, thanks anyway!
does this work with vortex too?
can i just uncheck nemesis n output n make sure esps r unchecked n delete the overwrite stuff? do i HAVE to uninstall them completely?i wanna try pandora without getting rid of nemesis atm
You may encounter some issues, it's like asking google docs to open a docx file created with Microsoft Word, google can open it but the format gets all weird and different. You can try but that's not the intended way to use it so expect things to get messy.
Sure. I did the same initially. Just uncheck both Nemesis and its output in the mods section and run Pandora. Had no issues.
Wait delete meshes as well? Is that safe if you have a ton of mods? I'm new and scared to delete it 😭😭
You can just back them up and if anything goes wrong paste delete the new files that were output and paste them back
@@Inceptic1 thank youu

It was being over written by magpie fixed now
I know what I'm doing later 😂😂
PC overheating? Have you tried leaving the room?

😂👌 brilliant
Does it work for 1st person anims tho?
Ik this is out of topic but whenever I try to launch dyndolod 3 from mo2 it gives me an error do you have a fix for it?
Your going to have to be way more specific. I know Dyndolod is very picky about the state of mods you have in your load order and you may have to get some patches or updates to make things work.
@@michaelgrouse7850 I apologise for the late response but whenever I launch it from mo2 it just tells me that installation path not allowed and I tried finding a solution to it online but unfortunately nothing happened
@@kenshin5603 Where do you have it installed? Don't install it under Skyrim's game directory like you would a mod. Put it somewhere else in a directory where you keep your modding tools. Gamer Poet has an excellent you tube video on Dyndolod.
@@michaelgrouse7850 it turns out that I installed in users which I’m not supposed to but the thing is I don’t know how to change it

If i uninstall Nemesis to uprade to Pandora, will it fuck up my entire mod list? I really dont want to have to re install everything.
i’m going to install it instead of nemesis this weekend and the put in the combat overhaul stuff. I’ll let you know how it went if you’re not too anxious to get it installed
Nope, everything works as intended for me. Pandora will detect the same behavior files just fine.
Yeah it works along side all my mods and thats everything in the complete guide
Awesome! Thanks again guys.
But vortex ?
The output crashes my game. And yes I removed all traces of Nemesis and downloaded the runtime.
I didn't even remove Nemesis, just disabled it so I had it as a back up. Not a single issue with Pandora. If you're getting a crash and you definitely know it's Pandora Output then I'd check you're up-to-date with the mods you're using and also check compatibility between the mods. You may be baking in an issue from somewhere else.
Sadly, some mods dont work with it yet
Care to elaborate mate?
@@ariyanadumon4549 Oh, dont worry. It was the mods fault, not pandoras fault. Some modders refuse to fix their mods and they make them for FNIs in 2024 for some reason
