Agreed. Some asked for MRT or LRT but not thinking of the cost to maintain it. If our population here exceeds 1 million then it would be sufficient as more demand means the income from it to sustain it will be on par with the maintainance.

The performance on paper may be impressive, but the real-life outcomes are often underwhelming. Take, for instance, the Kuching "international" airport, which fails to live up to its name.
Not sufficient to maintain. Sure our state is rich but the money the state have must be used wisely too. When the population here exceeds 1 or 1.5 million then its enough to maintain it since the prices for cars are getting higher nowadays.

A high speed train from Kch - Sibu - Bintulu - Miri should be considered too. For those not willing to fly or using bus which is too long hours.

If a new airport is built, then this old KIA can be turned into a domestic flight hub as well as to accomodate flights from Sabah and Peninsular.

If it does moves then this old airport can be redeveloped into a new township and use the existing station without worrying building another station.
