    One quick question since you relocated from the U.K. Did you have to have documentation as proof you were vaccinated for prevention of yellow fever? In the States they say In order to even visit we have to have such documentation before travel to Ghana

    • @moretodela
      @moretodela  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Shamsud-Din King Hi! I've been on a little (well maybe not so little) break but I'm coming back very soon. We did vaccine at the time (a few years again now) but we have never been personally asked for any evidence of it.

    Hello and thank you for this very helpful information. I am ‘African American’ woman; 45 years old; retired military; I’m planning to move to Ghana at the end of December 2018 for 6-12 months (I may extend my move longer Yah willing). My biggest concern is SAFETY! As a woman moving by myself I am very concerned about being taken advantage of. I have no friends and family there. I have lived in several countries while serving in the military, so I’m use to living abroad. Any tips or advice? Thank you in advance. Shalom.

    its always best to ship the cars from USA or Germany both are on the left hand side and shipping from thse countries are a bit cheaper. Is just clearing it in Ghana is a nightmare. i would have practically shipped everything except for fruit and vegetables. it is just sad that 95% of goods in GH are imported even the petty things like matches and toothpic. the supermarket shoprite is another story, for example rittersport which cost like 2EUR is 46GHC lol

    • @moretodela
      @moretodela  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with you wholeheartedly! Its crazy the things that are imported, so unnecessary.

    • @lavbcottage7768
      @lavbcottage7768 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Look i understand that import fees should always be included in the product but they are taking this to a whole another level.

Could you point out some major differences between their culture and the western culture (I think ours is probably very similar to the UK)? I can give you my e-mail if you'd like. Thanks!

    • @moretodela

      +Teodora Dora no we don't have any medical insurance. I looked into it in the past but it was way more than what we could afford. The only people that I know of is WARA, you can look them up on the internet. There are probably a few more but I don't know if them.

    • @moretodela
      @moretodela  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Kahnn Thomas It depends on how long you expect it to last. I would say if you can use it for business purposes and find another means of income in the mean time. It is a lot of money but undoubtly it will fly out of your hands very quickly especially until you get more familiar with the system here and the currency.

    • @moretodela
      @moretodela  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well thats a difficult question to answer because it really just depends what kind of person you are spending wise. You could easily live on $600 a month once your big expenses are out of the way such as rent. You could probably live off even less but like I say it really does depend on you so don't take it as gospel but its a rough estimate. I hope thats helpful in some way.

    LOL haha I laugh every video:-D TWINS-Ur brave..!! would you give birth in Ghana or come back to the U.K? ( you see you've opened a can of worms now!!) also, do you think you have more support raising children in Ghana compared to the U.K?

    • @moretodela
      @moretodela  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lol, I think I would give birth in Ghana actually as long as I found a hospital I was comfortable with. It wouldn't be my first child so I would already have an element of what to expect. If it was my first I would probably go back to be honest.
      In terms of support I could honestly say I could get more help here. People in the UK are just too busy to be able to give you the kind of help you need unless you are very rich of course and you can afford to pay someone.

    • @4hisglory365
      @4hisglory365 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @moretodela

      +Camirra Williamson shop n save is quite new, there is one on spintex road, east legon and near madina that I know of. I do most of my shopping there now. It just works out best for me but you probably get more options at palace to be honest.
