Hi Mike, I'm a homeowner and want to design and build my own home. I have a piece of land in Vista CA, and this particular lot has a very steep slope. Concrete retaining walls and slabs are costly and from the look of this video, floor trusses are not much cheaper. Would you able to give me cost comparison square foot per square foot of wood trusses vs slab? My thoughts would be Piers and Beam, then the raised floor with engineer 2x4 floor trusses. Any advice or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Additionally, Do Southern Pine Lumber do business on the west coast, if so, what would be the delivery charge for 4500 square foot of floor trusses?
Ok - I have a floor like this. How do I hang something like a punching bag in a house with this between ground and basement floor?
