For those that want to comment about Ginjo, this is one of the replies I posted as to the reason why I'm confused about his Bankai:
Nah I'm not opposed to the fact that he can, it's just the method in which he does it. As far as I'm concerned, Cross of Scaffold is Ginjo's fullbring, not a zanpakuto,
I'm not sure if it says anything in the manga but in the anime, we don't get an explanation of what CoS's ability is, only thing we get is that Ginjo takes Ichigo's fullbring when he stabs him, and he's able to use Getsuga cuz of it.
Now I'm aware that Ginjo was previously a sub shinigami and that CoS changed in design after Ginjo attached his combat pass to it but what did that actually do? Did that give Ginjo his shinigami powers? Did it only give him a buff? Was CoS his original zanpakuto? Could CoS always use bankai?
It's not that I'm confused on WHY Ginjo can use bankai, I'm just confused on HOW.

As I understand it, Cross of Scaffold was his original Zanpakuto, or at least an aspect of it, that was brought out using the fullbrings power, the same way when Ichigo gets his fullbrings it has a sword similar to zangetsu. once he combines his fullbrings Cross of Scaffold with the combat pass, we see his Cross of Scaffold (fullbrings version) merging with soul reaper energy, bringing the physical form and the soul reaper energy back together to form his old Zanpakuto, or at least a modified version of it.

Here's the thing about people saying that Ichigo's genetics being plot armor--We got an outright hint when Ichigo was ALMOST told his mother's origin but nver got around to it due to the battles going on. I think this happened in the arrancar arc. When Ichigo got shishkabobed by Kenpachi, Rolex used Blut Vein to stem the bleeding so he wouldn't die.
Another thing, Rolex never lied. He ALWAYS brought out White to deal with problems of the zanpaktou. Because White IS the source of his shinigami powers. White and Rolex never lied. They were upfront with everyone, audience included but we claimed it as cap and moved on.
When Ichigo got his powers back he never bothered to check if he had an inner world because he assumed it was deleted by Mugetsu only to find out that Rolex was there. Rolex is always there, watching and waiting. You can't remove Rolex as much as you can't remove a soul from a human. It's a part of Ichigo.
Also, I think Ulquiorra is probably able to reach top 2 on the Espada leaderboard because of one major thing--That juicy regeneration. How long can you realistically fight against an opponent that can do high speed renegeration, moves dumb fast and has explosive power?
Also Unohana was avoided by everyone because they knew that sweet demeanor was some bullshit. They knew something was wrong with here. Even Yamamoto was like, "No fighting for you. Tend to the injured." That says A LOT about her.

Also his first, fake Bankai could be argued to be a Quincy reishi construct, Byakuya says that Ichigos sword cannot be Bankai too. Yhwatch's name being blurred, Aizen getting interrupted by Isshin, etc. In Bleach there is great importance to names and different names enable different powers, hence some are false (Yumichika shikai, Renji bankai etc).

Like, I can accept that maybe Kubo had some ideas for Ichigo being slash being related to the Quincy in some way from the beginning (I'm still super skeptical that Kubo isn't just bluffing about that), but the idea that he planned that part out that far ahead when the guy was improvising with the villains (up to and including which characters WERE the villains) through the entire Soul Society arc up until only a short time before the Aizen plot twist is *absurdly* unlikely.

Meaning that he'd have to have some form all of those genes inside of him, even if he can't use all their abilities. We know that he has Soul Reaper powers from his time as a substitute, and has hollow powers because his mother was attacked by a hollow during birth, so either he has a trace amount of Ichigo's quincy reiatsu in him or his fullbringer powers make up for it since fullbringers have a piece of the soul king in them.

yeah. kubo dropped the most obvious hints that ichigo's fight with aizen after he returns to karakura town (after his fight with ulqiora) that ichigo was scared to use his vizored to its full power because white would take full control again. this is shown in how the mask is less detailed, it became less of himself, and thus it became weaker because he rejected the notion of who he was.
I genuinely thought that was a transformation instead of white taking him over, and it wasnt until I learned about Klub Kubo that i learned about this, but looking back, it makes perfect sense, especially with how ichigo grew as a character during the hueco invasion arc.
at first, i saw it as a rejection of self, but now, i feel like it can be summarized with a quote from grimjow (i forgot the specific chapter and it has been a while, so feel free to correct me)
    "you're on our level now."
Thats just one example of how people did not get bleach's storytelling, it was meant to be analyzed, with how much "being yourself" was a part of ichigo getting stronger, it was heavily obvious in retrospect.

The best comment I saw about Bleach’s writing is that “Bleach doesn’t handhold you”. People that expect Bleach to be like a shounen and written like a shounen get disappointed and don’t further explore or look past the surface of the story. Understand that Kubo’s philosophy when it comes to writing is very unlike most of his peers. He is very specific about the way he writes his characters and stories, that doesn’t save the story from inconsistencies or mistakes in writing, but it does make it so that you have to be willing to put in the effort to understand more about Bleach.
Also regarding the last guy that was saying everything about Bleach is plot armor; any convenient set up or factor in a story does not make it a plot armor, you’re misconstruing the meaning of the words ‘plot armor’. Plot armor is an opportune arrangement created for the sole purpose of keeping (in the majority of cases) the protagonist alive in a scenario where that opportune arrangement would be the only way they would survive or avoid danger; none of the points you mentioned have anything to do with guaranteeing the characters’ success, let alone keeping them alive. You also need to learn what Chekhov’s Gun is in story-writing, because Bleach uses it plenty and that doesn’t not make it plot armor/plot convenience.

That's not tge problem with bleach. Bleach supposedly doesn't "handhold" u because many of tge events surrounding the deeper meanings don't do a good job at pulling the reader in in the 1st place. An authors job is to make tge reader invested. U can't just say kubo doesn't handhold his audience as an excuse for not executing thta part of his story well. For example, if a single person within the story even questioned the origins of ichigos hollow powers, people would be more intrigued in ichigos inner struggle with his hollow instead of just seeing it as a power up. And no, it's not handholding because it's even more insane how nobody questioned the unusual aspect of ichigo having hollow powers at all. But u only get to know this issue in a rewatch once u get all tge info from tybw. So it's not tge audiences fault. It's kubos execution of tge series that's at fault.

    • @stefangirbea982
      @stefangirbea982 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@Blackmustache870 Bleach repeatedly doesn’t do a lot of typical anime writing tropes, you can’t sum it up to ‘bad execution’ when it happens repeatedly again and again, that just means you never questioned “why Kubo didn’t just write things in this way”.
As for Ichigo’s Hollow Powers, I can’t figure out if by people you mean the audience or the characters in-story. If you mean the audience, if the fact that Ichigo’s Hollow seemingly seems to have ‘stuck around’ after regaining his powers at the end of the Substitute Soul Reaper Arc and even played a role in the Soul Society Arc in two different fights is something that did not get you interested or questioning why that was the case, then that’s just a general lack of interest you had in it, there’s nothing an author can do about it. The series goes even further by introducing Shinji and the Vizards to tell you “there’s a deeper conspiracy at play here”, before resolving it in the Arrancar Saga with the Turn Back the Pendulum Arc (which I will agree, had a bit of an odd placement in the middle of the Arc). If after all that you never had a question like “but Ichigo didn’t Hollowfy like Shinji and gang, why does HE have a Hollow?”, then all I can say is that you probably never had much on an interest in the subplot in the first place. There are subtle hints in his Hollowfications which are meant to tell you that it is continuously changing (such as the patterns on his mask), so the most logical thing to do is wait for the payoff when it COMPLETELY changes, which eventually happens. His Hollowfication (in the eyes of the audience) is not resolved because it is intentionally postponed at the end of the Arrancar Saga, with Kubo almost literally tells the audience“the time for the answer to be revealed has not yet come”.
However, if you were talking about the characters never asking why Ichigo had Hollow Powers. The first point would be that most of them did not have direct contact with Ichigo Hollowfied outside of Byakuya, who more than likely had to report it after his fight with Ichigo, which means they at most knew by secondary means. I mean just remember the fight between Tosen and Komamura, despite neither Komamura nor Tosen being present at his Hollowfications, one mentioned and the other replied with acknowledgement of the fact that Ichigo had Hollow Powers. You can make an argument that Tosen knew because of Aizen, but why Komamura? It then becomes evident through deduction that Byakuya more than likely reported it to the Captains, Vice-Captains and perhaps Ichigo’s Soul Reaper friends (Rukia and Renji). And from there it spirals further, if everyone knew he Hollowfied, then at least the high-ranked members of the 13 Court Guard Squads would remember - and those that were replaced would be informed - the fact that this happened 100 years ago with the Captains and Vice-Captains of their own Squads. Then comes the questioning “well how?” And the answer is simple, the one that was accused of doing it before, Kisuke Urahara more than likely did it, and it lines up, Ichigo is a human, Urahara escaped and hid in the human world, and the most vital part is, Ikkaku had CONFIRMED in his fight - something he also more than likely reported - that the one who trained Ichigo was Urahara. Aizen being revealed at the end of the Soul Society Arc throws a wrench in that speculation, but with his betrayal, they wouldn’t put it past him to do it again. Evidently, that is not what happens in the end, but the Soul Society has no reason to doubt that’s what happened as it seemed clear that it was a repeat of what happened to Shinji and the Vizards so there was no need to question Ichigo about it.
So that’s why I think Bleach doesn’t handhold you, other series would’ve incrementally revealed every aspect of their specific scenarios, but Kubo intentionally didn’t despite hints that such info was passed around in the background. Is this the best way to write a story? That is up to preference, but I feel chalking up the intentional writing style which reinforces itself through the story to ‘bad execution’ is an unwillingness or perhaps even a lack of interest in retrospectively looking back and asking “why weren’t things done like this though?”. And that’s fair, most of us have stories that captivate us more than others, and perhaps for most people Bleach and its specific style of storytelling and storywriting just isn’t one of those captivating ones. But it still remains sad to see so many that don’t grasp aspects of it and then claim it has no ‘depth’.

    • @Blackmustache870
      @Blackmustache870 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

@stefangirbea982 I'm talking about characters within the story. And even if byakuya didn't have much contact with ichigo, u would think a power like that is worth reporting to yammammoto so they can investigate since they were seemingly wary of ichigo betraying them.
For kommommura and tosen, everyone pretty much knew that aizen was using the hokyoku to cross the boundaries of Soul Reaper and Hollow, so it would make sense for one of aizens henchmen to gain that power. But ichigo?? He was a stranger to most people in the soul society, and most people close to ichigo, including ichigo himself, didn't even know aizen, to just go, "Oh, u can do that? Cool."
Ur trying to excuse leaving out plot points for kubo, not handholding u. If the soul society rlly believed kisuke was involved in ichigos hollowficatiom, they would care more than they actually did, because they were worried of ichigo betraying them.
Then u also have to wonder why none of ichigos FRIENDS bothered to question his hollow powers. It makes no sense for them to just accept it. But the readers r supposed to look past that and see his power up as anything more than a power up?
What tropes? Fully explained power system, while bleach is so vague, at this point, u can believe that u can do anything with rieatsu? That's not a good thing. Some things in the series NEED to be explained, and bleach just doesn't do it. Kido in bleach is literally so vague, when we're told that there r 99 kido and bakudo as lore, nobody questioned how tf kisuke pulled that God sealing kido he MADE UP out of his ass. It's part of why u can never call anything in bleach plot armor. No rules were established beforehand to say it was out of the question. That's not a good thing.

@@Blackmustache870 1. That’s exactly why I said that Ichigo’s Hollowfication was definitely reported since people uninvolved with him such as Komamura were aware of it.
      2. You misunderstood my point, I never addressed Tosen Hollowfying, I simply gave as an example two people that were entirely removed from the group who witnessed Ichigo’s Hollowfication yet both seemed to know it, despite not witnessing it, and stating that Komamura knowing it despite not being present is proof that Ichigo’s Hollowfication was reported in the Gotei 13.
      3. This is not leaving out plot points, Ichigo was monitored by the Soul Society since the end of the Soul Society Arc, this has been revealed in the Fullbringer Arc and was hinted at since the end of the Soul Society Arc. The reason he was simply monitored instead of actively spied on or pursued is because of two reasons: 1. Consuming additional resources on Ichigo while they were preparing for a full scale war with Aizen, whose goal was to destroy the balance of the worlds by killing the Soul King, is an incredibly foolish waste of resources. 2. The reason Yamamoto told Ichigo to remain in the World of the Living after Orihime was kidnapped was in order to help them fight Aizen when he shows up in the winter. Ichigo was not seen as enough of a threat to warrant mobilizing the Squads on him, in fact it was more beneficial for them to treat him as an ally (despite more than likely being seen as a tool) in order to have additional firepower when fighting Aizen, rather than angering Ichigo and turning him against them. Just because they didn’t have an obvious reaction onscreen to his Hollowfication doesn’t mean there was no concern regarding his mysterious powers, though as Shinji and the Vizards set a precedent, Ichigo was not as alarming of a case as he would’ve been if he was the first to exhibit these abilities. Them being ready to kill Ichigo is also touched upon in the Fullbringer Arc where it was revealed that from the moment he showed up, if he did anything they deemed was damaging to the Soul Society they would get rid of him.
      4. None of Ichigo’s human friends were initially aware of his Hollow Powers. Orihime, who came in direct contact with Ichigo had an inkling which was confirmed when he Hollowfied in front of her while fighting Grimmjow, but even she who was in direct contact didn’t know. IF they knew about it, Urahara more than likely told them, and even then, what could they have done or added to the story by addressing it? Confirmation that they knew? Them knowing doesn’t change anything since they all believe in Ichigo as their friend and/or savior. As for the viewers/readers, we know much more intimately the relationship between Ichigo and his Hollow, there is an entire inner struggle with a fake resolution which tells the audience that the whole ordeal with the Hollow is not over. Him fighting his Inner Hollow and the Hollow warning him “not to die before I show up again” could not be a clearer explanation as for why he HAS power-ups while Hollowfied, which in turn tells the audience that “this guy can take control at any given moment”, if that doesn’t keep you interested or questioning things such as why the patterns on Ichigo’s mask change, then you just have no interest in the subplot in the first place.
      5. By tropes I mean things such as grand reveals where the entire cast finds crucial information out and has a reaction to it for the audience to see, such as in many cases in One Piece; don’t get me wrong, I’m not knocking One Piece for that, I’m just saying that Bleach doesn’t seem to follow those kind of tropes.
      6. Bleach’s power system is ‘vague’ (a word I wouldn’t necessarily use to describe it) because there is no classification or ‘scientific’ (I guess?) way of incorporating and explaining how every individual character’s powers, Shikai, Bankai, Resurrección, Fullbring, Vollständig etc. works as they are all one of a kind. I would say that not being able to suspend your disbelief and asking to see how each race in Bleach can exactly manipulate spirit particles to the point they give birth to their unique powers is quite frankly a ridiculous thing to ask for, since not many writers go to that degree when creating the power system in their story, so that isn’t simply uniquely a Bleach ‘fault’. I will agree with you on a mistake Bleach makes, an explanation for how Kido is created and utilized would be good to see, though perhaps they exist in the Data Books which I haven’t had the pleasure of looking through firsthand; though even then an explanation in-story would’ve been appreciated. Other than that though, difference in manipulation of spirit particles has been introduced in the series as early as the Substitute Soul Reaper Arc, when Quincies were introduced and we were told they used their powers to ERASE Hollows not CLEANSE them, so difference in manipulation of spirit particles should not be a surprise or something that should be “explained in great detail”, that should be left for things such as the aforementioned Data Books.
      7. Regarding Kisuke’s Hado he used on Aizen, yes, I agree that it is very much an unexplained phenomenon which I think is more than likely a fault in writing. At the same time, I am not fully informed on that specific moment, perhaps there is someone out there that has concrete information as for why that isn’t simply plot convenience. The only defence I can really give it is that, seeing as how Urahara is a genius able of creating many different inventions, I wouldn’t put it past him to create a new Kido made for the sole purpose of fighting Aizen. And even then, this explanation is not very satisfying. Trust me, I realize there are asspulls and moments in Bleach that don’t make sense, such as Ichigo’s Final Getsuga that was never explained or foreshadowed.
The thing is, I’ve already made my argument and reinforced it through (thankfully) a civil discussion. We could go back and forth with issues and explanations but neither of us is gonna change their mind as we see things from different angles and are of differing opinions. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to try and explain my reasoning as well as Bleach, but I’m gonna bow out of the conversation as I don’t see the point is spending even more time on something I know is gonna keep going for much longer without a clear outcome or changed opinions.

@stefangirbea982 I'm sure people KNEW about the ability. But that's not my point. U would think an ability like that would be a bigger deal to people knew about it, enough to mention it in the story AND question ichigos origins, but the soul society just went on like it was a regular day for them. These plot points r important in addressing and wouldn't be handholding I'd they were because questioning Ichigos hollow powers I'd a logical pov after finding out about it.
Considering uryu wasn't surprised when ichigo transformed against ulquiorra, it's fair to say his friends DID know about it. They could have internal dialogue thinking about it. This would be nice set up as a mystery for them being worried about what the hollow would do with ichigo. And again, it's not handholding, because it's more crazy to act like his hollow powers were normal.
About bleachs power system, I'm not talking about tge various zanpakto abilities. I'm talking about how rieatsu specifically can be used. I understand quincies r able to manipulate rieatsu at will, but that limit is never rlly told to us, so whenever uryu creates a random application to his rieatsu devices to win a fight, we're just like, "Oh cool." Kisuke making wrist seals somehow also is never questioned. The applications of rieatsu seem endless because no rules were established beforehand about how it could be used.

Anyways, to address a point of Ichigo getting back the same powers after getting a "new" zanpakuto. All I need to say is "The Blade is Me".
The whole point of a zanpakuto is that it is an extension of one's soul. Of course the powers are the same, they're Ichigo's powers. Zangetsu is a conduit for channeling his powers. The best way to explain it wiuld be Mista from JoJo's. Sex Pistols is his power but he uses a gun to use his powers.

Around 22:30 So actually a lot of people had theories while Bleach was on going regarding Ichigo being a Quincy and Isshin being a Shinigami before both were reveal. In Japan, when the Gotei was presented, people begun to find through the few scene of Ichigo's house hints the number 10, making then think that Isshin was the captain of the Tenth because of Hitsugaya being a younger upcoming captain. And they found hints of Ichigo being a Quincy at the same time like Ichigo having Quincy crosses on his bed sheets.
And Kubo came out after the manga was finished, and confirm that there were 3 plot points that he set up from the beginning of the story and one of them was Ichigo's powers. Besides there is also the fact that through the publiction of Shounen Jump when Aizen was making the revelation of Ichigo's parents he original says that he is the son of a Shinigami and a... and he is cut out by Isshin, while on the official release of the tome it's corrected to a Human and a... Making it clear that Masaki was the one with the secret now if you notice this, since at less them if you don't believe that, it was just an accident that Ichigo has Quincy Cross bed sheets.

Ichigo being a fullbringer isn't even that crazy of an idea considering they're just humans affected by hollow powers. Ichigo risked turning into a hollow with White A LOT throughout the series, not even counting his mom getting bit, so it's not hard to come to that connection. Especially when Chad's right there, taking a falling I-beam and firing el directos (cero-like), saying his power feels more hollow-like. (I know there's extra in the novels, I haven't read them, and I don't like the "they've got fragments of the soul king" idea that came from it.)

Ginjo is the same kind of hybrid like Ichigo with all four races, but for a reason, I think, is in the light novels, Ginjo couldn't access his full abilities. Ichigo's Fullbring with Ginjo augmented his Shinigami and Hollow powers. Both Ichigo and Ginjo's Fullbrings merged their Shinigami and Fullbring powers, which is why Ginjo could use his Bankai while in Fullbring. Ichigo should be able to achieve the same feat.
As for Gin, it was pretty well resolved. He simply wanted revenge on Aizen for what he did to Rangiku.
Also, the Fullbring Arc was supposed to be longer, but the Editors forced Kubo to reintroduce the Shinigami earlier.

Nobody will enjoy life without the fear of death, and the world yhwach aims to create is merely grey in colors. The same way you won’t value something that won’t run out; memories has their values from the threat of being forgotten every seconds. And in the same way will a particular grain of sand in the hourglass of time will fall, snap everything deemed so valuable and strip it til none, and all of that will cease to remain just in no time at all. The fear of that is what gives a thing its’ value in the first place.

about the espada, the ranking isn't about who is the strongest its about who has the most Reiryoku.
an explanation: the difference between Spiritual Power (Reiryoku) and Spiritual Pressure (Reiatsu) is simple: Reiryoku is the amount of energy a being has stored within their body or soul, whereas Reiatsu is the pressure that a person's Reiryoku exerts.
If you view it like that you might make the argument that ulquiorra is the strongest but he definitely didnt have the same amount of spirtual power as the espada ranked above him, on top of that if those same espada did mange to reach the same "Segunda Etapa" or "Second Resurrection" they will far supress him. this also make the fact that yami is the higest ranking as he is the only one shown that can store up more spiritual power with food and resting meaning he has an infinat potential at gaining spiritual power but we also know he lack the skill or control over his spiritual pressure.
having high spirtual power dosen't mean you know how to use it in battle, you might have more spirutal power then others but lack the spirutal pressure to use it and can lose to some one with less spirutal power but has better msatery over his spirutal pressure.

In support of the Ginjo thing that was mentioned, let's not forget that as a "born" Fullbringer (in distinction to Ichigo, Orihime and Chad, whose FB powers didn't come from birth), he had a fragment of the Soul King within him (as all natural Fullbringers do). And also, if we take into account the light novels (CFYOW), he was even considered a possible candidate to replace the Soul King alongside Ichigo and Hikone (light novel-exclusive character), due to him also being a hybrid of different races. So yeah, there *are* more hybrids aside from Ichigo in the Bleach universe! Maybe not as "pure-blooded" (due to Masaki/Isshin's peculiar situation) as him, but there are others similar to him nonetheless.

The last comment is just complaining a character or multiple characters getting a more flashed out story than cals it "plot armor" because it drives the story forward in a understandable, deep, interesting and connectable/emotional way for characters and the story itself which is literally how any story works.
And calling something very commen and established/foreshadowed power/training "Plot armor" is just going against the detention of plot armor.
    "Plot Armor":
It is a practice where the plot is conveniently changing in a positive way for character in a bad state/situation in that situation.
This is under the condition that something was not previously foreshadowed, established as common or stated in a verse. Explanation afterwards would not count ( but they could lessen the impact of the plot armor) if they are not already based on previous statements, established things or foreshadowing and only are meant to detail it.

Quincy don't have an inner world.
To my knowledge that's a Soul Reaper exclusive thing.
To me this is actually one of the bigger issues with Bleach. The power system is explained subtly and drip fed over the course of the story And because many of the details aren't in the face of the reader parts of it are easy to forget about. This makes understanding how all of the different abilities work confusing.
I remember talking to a friend about Bleach and having to tell them that Shinigami literally have different organs than regular souls do and you need to look at the different races within Bleach as literal different species.
Something I find confusing is a Quincy like a special kind of human or are they a unique species? Because Ichibe refers to Yhwach as a human.

Ichigo's inner world is from him having shingami abilities injected into him.
Ichigo bioloigcally is a Quincy and Human (Giga), his soul is a just more powerful, due to his hollow not shinigami. Oestu even said that Ichigo wasn't an 'actual' shinigami, just like he didn't have an 'actual' zanpakto. Ichigo's soul was removed from his body, thus making him a soul like the other shingami because after all shinigami are just regular souls that have more energy, this more energy kinda changes there body to compensate for storing this energy. So his soul being removed gave him access to an inner world. Him being a quincy forced him to absorb Rukia's power + His inner hollow, almost immediately changing his soul into a shinigami. I don't think his father played any hand in Ichigo's powers, because Kiske already said that the Giga he had Isshin get into, would take away all his shinigami powers, making him human. His shinigami powers were taking and crafted into a wall, to block the hollow from Misaki's soul.
Souls are like bikes. You train the soul and gain energy = You putting more gears onto a bike to make a mountain bike. You train enough, your body changes, to compensate for this new enegery filling your body = Slapping a small engine onto a bike, to make it electric. When you consentally generate energy, you need somewhere to put it unless you wanna pop like a balloon, thus the soul's unconsouise need for a change in phyisalology.
The reason Quincies don't have access to and inner world, is because they are physical beings, that are able to control soul energy. Them being in the SS is them converting there body into reshi, combine the physical body and the soul into one, locking access into an inner world. Kiska semi-explained it when he sent the whole crew into the SS during the Save rukia arc.
This is how I see it. Ichigo was never really a mix of more then maybe three races: Human, Quincy, and Hollow. Hollow + Human = Fullbrink. Quincy + Absorbing Shinigamis esscaines = Shinigami. This also explains why Ichigo is so strong by the end, his hollow and quincy stop fighting, and are merged into a True Shinigami.

I'm probably gonna get shit for this, but I think a lot of Bleach is just unexplored in the manga. This is why there's a meme of "it was stated in CFYOW" because a lot of questions people had about Bleach just don't get answered in the original medium, that being the manga.
Also, you have to admit the thousand year blood war arc was rushed and a lot of characters just drop in and out of the story with little to no foreshadowing nor explanation. I won't even go into the arrow... I enjoyed Bleach and I'm looking forward to more(hopefully). However, it's obvious that in the beginning Kubo was still trying to figure out what he wanted Bleach to be and by the end it was too rushed to truly show us what it had become.
Bleach's world and characters intrigue me more than most other manga I've read, but with how things stand now they just haven't reached their full potential. I've got some crazy headcanons that make me super excited for more Bleach, but they will remain just that until we get more.

alot of whats in CFYOW or SAFWY isn't integral to the plot though, kubo can't win in this scenario, people call fullbring arc and early arrancar arc bad when those parts of the story are dedicated to fleshing out the story and lore of the verse entirely. If he made even more arcs about that people would just hate it.
the arrow is kinda foreshadowed in uryu vs mayuri but thats my only issue with tybw, nanaos zanpakuto makes perfect sense in hindsight and on re reads of bleach it was kinda right in front of us
but isn't this good? you said yourself you're excited for more bleach and have crazy headcanons...thats good writing, leaving interpretation for things is a good thing. Naoki urasawa does it a lot too and its why people can resonate with bleach so much. you can tell people your headcanons, they can tell you theres and you can really take these parts of the story as what you believe, i remember my English teacher going crazy about how good of a literature technique it is to be able to have a story where interpretation can be different for others

Bleach is a case study on how a story can be stained by shonen company. A lot of the rushed and incomplete parts are due to Kubo being rushed or forced to change the story because of shonen jump.

It's more of that Ichigo's quincy power manifested in the form of Ywach or took form to begin with is mostly due to that his genetically powers were contained in into a zanpakuto. AND THUS being a zanpakuto can make the powers appear in a physical form.

The explicit answer to your question, “how/why can Ginjo bankai?” Is - “we do not know.”
    The implied answer is
He is a lot older than we really know. So much so that other fodder soul reapers didnt/dont know what a substitute soul reaper is or that they can* exist.
This implies hes had a lot of time to actually learn bankai but because he felt like SS betrayed him he dipped. Then he had plans to attack SS. What he would need is another sub SR because like him they would be very strong.
It just so happened thats its Ichigo who is like strong AF. So his first olan was get ichigo to his side. When he realized that probably wouldnt work he decides to steal his powers.
So Ginjo can Bankai because he already had that ability. His wouldve just been an unmodified-by-ichigos-power of that bankai. However we never see that version. We only get the version that is modified by Ichigo’s power.

Marineford happened before Naruto's final war so you're just objectively wrong on that point regardless of whatever of the 3 you think is worst. Maybe if you're talking about animation, sure, but even if you wanna go based of anime then One Piece pacing actually got worse around that time(pretty sure it's Dressrosa) so you'd still be wrong. Regardless how you look at it this take is just horrible, if you want to believe One Piece is the worst try providing valid reasons like pacing or mickey mouse fake out deaths. Bleach is still, to this day, extremely underrated and misunderstood by most. I personally think One Piece is better than Bleach but that's because Oda simply is just built different in general(compared to most), I do believe Kubo is somewhat of the same ilk tho. If we really want to push agendas and hot takes I'd say JJK is better than all 3, but I'd get eaten alive due to the overwhelming lack in most people's reading comprehension. The same way Naruto sucked at chakra control early on bc of kurama and it only got better as him and kurama grew. Kurama is a great way to make Naruto struggle a lot more than others and relate to viewers while later providing an explanation on overcoming obstacles and providing him with needed strength. Same with Ichigos forms. They hindered his early development relating him to struggle untill he accepts his powers as they are and grows with them.

Yes, it's established that naruto was only able to learn that quickly due to his large chakra pool, but what thar effects is tge versatility he's able to learn. How fast he picks things up, r still at a normal lvl. Ichigo on the other hand, everything's quick for him simply because his genetics make him so good.

Even when Naruto beat Neji which was supposed to be the talent vs hard work fight. Naruto only won due to the lucky circumstances of his birth. Had he not been the 9 tails Jinchuriki he would’ve gotten rolled by Neji. He was also able to train dummy fast bc he could make tons of clones due to the lucky circumstances of his birth. Bleach is peak, and I've been saying this consistently since 2007, way before TYBW was announced to be animated and the lockdowns made people revisit it. I will absolutely go off replying to points here.
I'll stan any content that highlights how good Bleach is, and I'll add a couple of points that I ALWAYS see people get wrong about it, because I swear a lot of people that watched/read Bleach did it with their eyes closed or just wanted to look at pretty pictures:
    - Ichigo is not a mix of a bunch of races. Bleach really only has one race and that's human. Reiatsu manifests like a 'job class' in an rpg to different people in different circumstances. The only other "race" in Bleach are the artificial Souls (And even then, the Bount aren't canon to the manga). Dead humans can be either a + or a -, and will respectively become a Hollow or a Shinigami. A living human that can achieve Reiatsu manipulation by themselves usually becomes a Quincy, while those that awaken it by being in contact with one of the other "classes" is a Fullbringer. Usually these lines are fairly drawn in the sand and people can't crossover. Ichigo can because he was specifically chosen by Aizen to be an experiment in blurring those lines so that crossing over and merging of the "classes" could occur. It has nothing to do with "wow, Ichigo is just every race, isn't he?", it's literally because he is the result of the plot of the two main antagonists of the show. Ichigo was born son of a Captain and that is as much genetic priviledge as he gets. His mother being a Quincy was only detrimental in the fact it gave him a connection to Ywach; and most training he had was really powerful people telling him in different ways to "figure it out yourself" (which is leagues better written than Naruto, who was born strong, given a monster, taught by literally all the best ninja extensively, prophecized and then revealed to be the reincarnation of a demi-god; and Luffy, that is either related or adopted by every single most powerful person of his universe and then revealed to have gained the powers of a god all along)
    Which leads to point 2:
-Training in Bleach only goes as far as getting to know yourself. It isn't even subtle about it. The sword (that is you) has to present itself to you, trust itself to you, give its name to you, and your ability to know it severely impacts how the powers come out; half the show is about fighting villains with masks, the bad guys that literally "don't show themselves and are in pain". Literally putting up a mask up for society. The most powerful people in this universe are the ones that are truer to themselves and know exactly who they are and what they want; which is why power sets and power levels are free to change as people do.
On Ginjo's point, my best guess is: Becoming a Shinigami substitute (like Ichigo) gave him access to part of his soul being like a Zampakutou. And from there, that never vanished. He used his fullbringer power to activate that, because Fullbringer powers are also personality-driven. All this means is that his fullbring is a faux-zampakuto, and his ability to bankai it comes from his time as a defacto Shinigami. When he was a Shinigami he already had absorption powers.
So in other words, the how is that his fullbringer powers are the same as his shinigami ones (just like Ichigo), reached by different means (hence why the blade doesn't have a traditional name), and they are still absorption related. (This might be closer to real than I first thought. I skimmed and scanned the fullbringer arc. Ichigo's Fullbring is functionally identical to his Bankai, uses the same named ability, yet the form itself goes unnamed, just like Ginjo; which means his Fullbring Fauxbankai is just what his Shinigami real Bankai would be minus the name.)
I think that hater's list of 'plotholes' barely stands because from point 2 you can already see the kind of commenter it is, but the first point, that is kinda relevant:
    - Yachiru isn't just Zaraki's Zampakuto. She's a part of his soul, that came to be like Lilynette is a part of Starrk. As we see with the whole "Kujikujaku vs Fujikujaku" debate, calling a Zampakuto by a name it doesn't actually have causes massive difference in how the power comes out. Being called Yachiru instead of Nozarashi probably made things a little different, and behold, Zaraki's power created Yachiru, and Yachiru's power creates two undead things, exactly in the same ball park of power.
    For the other person:
    1) Saying that Unohana is existing there to give a power up to Zaraki is completely oversimplifying things, their confrontation is literally about tying up loose ends to both of them since their first met. To someone that used to be a ruthless killer like Unohana, there was always a point of pride in having lost to Zaraki. At the same time she was what caused Zaraki to become stunted in a sense. Disregarding what the fighting means just because of what it results in is a disservice.
    2) Completely misunderstanding of how the powers work. Ichigo's powers are always his. Think of it like this: Ichigo's powers are a car, it is always the same car. The first time he was allowed "gas" to move his "car", it came from Rukia. It's not until much later in the series that he learns to get his own from other sources, like Shirosaki/Zangetsu or even Ywach, and later his own. It doesn't matter what was lending him "energy", his moveset would always be the same, because Ichigo *is* the power set. It's literally a theme of the series that all the super powers are character reflection. The other Quincies also don't talk to their own souls like Shinigami do, that's why Ichigo is special in that sense. Plot armor here absolutely doesn't mean what you think it does. This commenter is the prime example of what I mean about people not understanding how powers work in this universe. Stop thinking about this in terms of categories and names that people make just to name things. All powers are literally just different ways to tap into spiritual power either from yourself or the surrounding world.

Idk where u get ur point on tge races from. Sure, tge term races might not be the best way to categorize them because demons and angels in real life have never been considered their own "race", but whether a person becomes a hollow quincy or soul reaper, isn't down to birth(except quincies). Quincies can actually be considered a legit race in bleach regarding the point I made before. But there's no "type" of rieatsu regarding soul reaper or hollow. If a soul is consumed by negative emotions or turned into one by another hollow, than they become a hollow. Otherwise they become a soul that go to the soul society.

All of Bleach's biggest reveals have the same problem, the BIG hints are way out of sync with related topics while the people who'd canonically be able to recognize it are conveniently absent, iirc in one case Uryu even pulls a disappearing act you'd easily chalk up to impatience. Unless you go back and re-watch/re-read, or have amazing photographic memory, you're not going to make the connection on your own. Yeah the hints are there, but there's not enough throughline to make most viewers/readers go "it all makes sense now" and without that moment it feels like you've been narratively cheated.

It took me a while to understand what one of the guys was talking about with the fake sword, but its not about the returning of his power, hes talking about how Ichigo didn't ever have a real asauchi. So he had a "fake" zanpakuto.
Now, this isn't the reality of the matter fully. The zanpakuto creator guy calls it "fake" not because it wasn't a zanpakuto or real sword, but because it didnt encompass the full power of his soul, it was created by the explosion of his spiritual power being released and then molded by the quincy power inside him. His own Quincy power tells him this, but I don't think the guy understood it. Basically tho, Quincy blood overpowered the soul reaper/hollow mixed side, and forced a small amount of the power to manifest as his sword, instead of all of it to flow into an asauchi. That's why he get's his "real" zanpakuto, because his powers aren't being sealed by each other, and are flowing freely into the asauchi to fully manifest. It's like his zanpakuto was locked at level 5, when its actual experience points would level it to 50.

The description given in the manga states that Vasto Lordes are hollows with human form, so Aizen was using his 'science' to force hollows into Vasto which created the Arrancar, making them pseudo Vasto Lordes, he also used his 'science' to try and force soul reapers into Vasto Lordes creating vaizards, making them pseudo Vasto Lordes, Tousen was probably the closest success since White, he went from vaizard to resurreccion (and if he had the chance probably would have cracked turning into an Arrancar from a soul reaper base which probably would've instead become a completely hollow looking humanoid, aka Vasto Lorde as per in world description)
So, with the information I gathered by reading the manga is Ichigo's fan dubbed Vasto Lorde is the only true Vasto Lorde in the manga we've seen, well White too, but they're basically the same entity, lol
