I got the switch didn’t need to deposit the 1250 the amount that was switched from my Lloyds was higher only took a week thank you!
Had all 3 now - Natwest, RBS and Ulster! Thats the triple 👑
Thanks for putting this comment here :)
Just received NatWest £200 had Ulster 6months ago.
Did you apply to all three on the same day simultaneously? Please guide
@@travelwithariaa I applied to them all within a week, don’t think that matters tho. Could do them all together or spread them out more - depends if you care about your credit score maybe?
Just make sure you switch an account from outside Natwest group
@@jamiescutt3144 thanks, the ulster bank has not sent any email or anything after filing the form online?
Note - you do need to download and use the app within 60 days and not the website as Andy said.
Does isa get transferred when you switch banks.
@@313_webon No, it would just be the current account. Check if your existing ISA requires you to have a current account with the same bank. If so, it would be best to transfer the ISA to a different institution first, otherwise they might close it.
No only the current account is switched. Any ISAs have to be transferred separately
@@f1ggyc So it keeps your main bank open. So it doesn't close it with isa money still in there.
OH 😂😂😂FFS snowflake
I can confirm having had money from RBS I have had the money from Natwest as well.
Switched into an account I already had from a switching account
Hi all, thanks Andy for the video. A walk through on opening a joint account for the switch incentive for NatWest would be very useful. I’m a little confused on NatWest process. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ty
Ah ok looks like everyone else is having the same we can't go ahead message from NatWest like me, guess will try again tomorrow
No direct debit requirements? Superb!
Hi Andy, great info as usual! I notice RBS have the same offer which could be another opportunity!
It counts as one as they are the same group 😁
All 3 paid out for me with RBS paying today!! Triple 👑
I just had NatWest and Ulsterbank pay up!! I didn't try RBS as I thought it wouldn't work this time around. Might apply now. Easiest £400 I've made so far. Thanks for all the tips Andy. I have made £1175 since October 23 just by switching 😮.
Has switching affected your credit score?
Just received my NatWest £200 had Ulster 6 months ago 😊
How long it took Natwest to pay you the incentive?

Just got my £200 didn’t have to leave the £1250 in the account 24 hours 👍
Did you get notified when you hit the criteria
No notification just the £200 in my account
@@suzannebullen132how long did it take to get it?
Cheers Andy
Dang it! Did mine last year so can't get another 😆 Damnnnn
How would I go about doing this if I have a current (select) account with NatWest ?
You need to switch from some other bank account to NatWest, below is the eligibility criteria for it -
1) Apply online or via our mobile app to switch a current account held elsewhere using the Current Account Switch Service into a NatWest bank account from 15 February 2024.
2) Deposit £1,250 into your account and log in to our mobile banking app within 60 days. App eligibility criteria apply.
3) When you meet these conditions, we'll pay £200 into your eligible account within 7 days.
Note that the switch should be completed successfully that is no rejection from your old bank.
Also make sure that you do not have any pending payments with the old bank so that the process can be smooth.😊
Got this reply on X
Hi there Paul how are you doing today? If this message is appearing, then we would not be able to offer you an account at this time. You can try again at a alter date to see if an account can be offered at this time. - Louis
I got that same message too. Maybe I'll try again another time
I’m going to try with a different email and see how it goes!
No direct debits needed??
its so dumb that your not eligable in branch for it, whats the difference? still a new customer for them to benefit from getting fractional reserve from your money
The EU has fined banks, including Barclays, NatWest and HSBC, a total of €344m (£293m) for roles in a foreign exchange spot trading cartel via a chatroom named "Sterling Lads".
The European Commission said the UK-based banks agreed to settle the case, alongside UBS which avoided a penalty because it had blown the whistle on the activity.
HSBC's fine was the largest at €174.3m (£148m) while its Canary Wharf-headquartered neighbour Barclays was to pay €54.3m (£46m).
NatWest - which was known by its former RBS Group name at the time - faces a €32.5m (£28m) bill.
I got "We can't continue with your request online." too

Will they pay me £200 to stay ? lol 😂
I am stuck on the Resident Permit or visa-proof stage as I only have the online status of immigration status. Forgive to switch to Natwest. I think 98% Hongkongers are unable to satisfy this requirement.
Why are you saying that the end date is unknown if the date was fixed till 2nd of April!!!
This is an old video, and NatWest didn’t announce the end date until much later
Hi Andy, thanks again for keeping us updated! If I open a dummy account today how long should I wait to switch (ideally)? 😂😂😂
Open a monzo. You'll get an account within 5-7 days.
What if already have a monzo and don't want to switch it?

@@4ndy123 Thanks! I did open a Monzo account, I am think about keeping it... What do you think about using a Chase extra current account to switch as Andy suggested in previous videos?
Hello, have applied and had an account open via their website and applied for a switch in the application process, gave my chase current account details etc. am now logged into my new NatWest account, how long do I have to wait for the switch, there is no apparent way for me to check the progress or even that’s its actually been initiated, and do I need to wait for the switch to be completed to start reaching the £1250 deposit criteria?
I can’t find anything on the website. Is this offer still available??
So can l switch from natwest to RBS for £200?
Yes just done it

I've just tried to switch from Revolut but unfortunately they not covering Revolut with that deal...
Any tips?
*Can i transfer the £1250 from another natwest account i have or does it have to come from outside NatWest?*
I’m having an issue using a dummy chase account to switch. Anyone else? The NatWest account has now opened and I’m not sure whether I am able to complete the switch properly. Any thoughts?? Thanks :)
Cannot apply for select account if you live on mainland - load of bollox
This one doesn't any active direct debits on the account you are switching (unlike the Lloyds one)
Ulster Bank doesn’t send any email or any confirmation or even link to upload documents after filing up the form? Its been a long time now? Anybody know about this, please help
I have a question. I’m using the switch deal to transfer my personal account to RBS. If I also switch my joint account to NatWest or RBS, will I get the £200 twice?
Can I switch Monese or Monzo to NatWest ? Fine ?
can you switch from RBS to natwest
Great video as ever Andy, i have kept a record of all switches since 2021. Is there any way of finding out if i have received a bonus from Natwest since the deadline - 1st Jan 2020?
look at your bank statement
Saw following in the Natwest website
To apply, you need to be 18+ and a UK resident. You need to also pay in £1,250 to an eligible NatWest account every month. You can only hold a maximum of 1 Reward account in your name, and 1 joint names.
Not sure I have to deposit every month.
You only need to deposit the £1250 once only and not every month. But you just need to pay it in within 60 days of opening the account (and logging into the natwest bank app once) to claim the £200 :)
No, the Ts & C's state that £1250 needs to be deposited every month. Andy says the same in the video.
@pilotbloke Hi, so you don't have to deposit £1250 every month. If you pay £1250 within 60 days of switching, you get £200 within 7 calendar days. That gives you a time frame of 2 months from opening the account to be able to get the bonus, and when you get the money, natwest can't then take it off you. The t&cs state a sum of £1250. Nowhere does it say every month. I work with Natwest and can assure you it is only one sum of £1250. Otherwise the switch campaign wouldn't be very popular. Hope this helps :)
£1250 per month is to get the rewards on the reward account. Nothing to do with the switch. The switch is 1250 once after the switch has begun to qualify for the £200.
@@katieappleyard550hi Katie, It seems like you know a fair bit about this. I put in 1250 before the switch had fully complete. Do I qualify or do I need to put it in again? (As the switch was officially completed 2 days ago)
I had a Natwest bank account which was closed as my relationship with Natwest was considered to be unlawful due to my views on migration, gender, and Brexit.. Will I still be eligible for the £200 switching bonus? Asking for a friend.
How did they find out about your views? 😲

Ploblem is... anyone who has already taken advantage of these deals in the last 3 1/5 years are cut out. its a long window to try repeat these deals.
Not really, seems more than fair to me, I'm surprised it's so quick really, you want the moon in a stick
By "pay in" does that just mean sending £1250 from my main bank into the NatWest one until I receive the £200?
The money has to stay 24h on the account
@@JoaoRodrigues-vk4sbhow you know that?
I may have misinterpreted that note. I don't need to pay in 1250 every month, right? Just within 60 days?
The £1250 every month is a condition of having the Rewards current account, not part of the switch. If you switch to the basic Select account, then it is only the switch condition of paying £1250 within 60 days.
If Im with Lloyds as my main, can I just create a dummy account there, use that to switch from then it only closes the dummy or will it close my main as well?
From what I’d heard, you can just close your dummy Lloyds account and keep your main Lloyds account. I had the same question with my Halifax.
@@londongirl891 yea, wish there was something official.. but obvious why there wouldnt be.
Do you have to deposit the exact amount? Or could I deposit say, £1300?
Thanks for the video. I have two current accounts in Chase Bank. Can I switch of the Chase accounts to Natwest without closing down it completely?
Yep, that's what I did! You can even make a new one if you want to keep your old ones
@@hennygt7did you get sent 2 cards?
I have just set up 2 accounts in chase. I see they have separate account numbers, so it looks like they are separate, but I only have 1 card, and so 1 card number.
Basically I'm concerned I don't have 2 card numbers as I've needed to provide that in a previous switch
Hi Andy, would you then recommend switching into this NatWest bank and then when I get the money, switching into the Club Lloyds to maximise money? The NatWest has fewer requirements and the Club Lloyds has better benefits so I think makes sense. I understand two hard searches but not looking to buy for about 3 years right now
Ulster bank has the same offer going on.
Rbs won't let you apply either if you live on the mainland 😢
i Have been on reddit chat over there someone contacted NatWest and they said system over load will be back to normal Friday
I tried to use the web site and the mobile app (different browsers) but could not get past the bit that asks if you are married or not. The answer seemed to be to select the wrong option and then visit a branch to correct. So chose a different bank to switch to.
Did the different bank offer £200 switch incentive and a Reward-style scheme? If not it's not a reason to compare to this recommendation.
@@pilotbloke Different bank offered a reward style scheme that in the long run should be better than the £200.
Also we can't go ahead message from RBS
Damn the thing is I actually don't like NatWest as well but now I think it's tempting
Perfect, take £200 off them and run
Planning on doing this with a few accounts. I have 2 blanks with 1 bank, and 2 with another, as well as a Monzo account (and a separate account that is my main one).
My question is: would it work if I switched all of these with at least 2 separate banks for each bank they are with? For example, 2 of the blanks under 1 bank, will be switched to 2 different banks. The next 2 blanks with a separate bank will also be switched to 2 separate banks, but they could be the same as the other banks 2 blanks. Finally, we have the Monzo account, which could be switched with any other bank.
Would this work? Instinct tells me that because banks are owned by the same company that there is a likelihood that this wont work, but i want to know from someone more experienced.
Can you switch from a Barclays credit card to this NatWest account and get the £200?
My application got thrown out, I have an ISA with them, surely that shouldn't be a problem?
Rbs threw my ne out aswell yet mortgage is with them lol
Natwest allowed tho wierd
I'm currently switching from Metro to Natwest, once completed can I then switch again from Natwest to Santander? or there's a mininum amount of time to keep the account open?
Can someone please answer this for me , so once the account opens and I have access to it can I then put in the 1.2K and leave it for 24 hours or do I have put in the 1.2K after 7 days? Thanks
You put the money in after the switch completes (usually 7 days), you will get a notification once it complete. You don't have to leave it in for 24hrs, you can just send it and send it out again.
for the select bank account does not need direct debit? And what happends if it is a joined account that you would like to switch?
My halifax account was 2 days old…am I eligible for switch account
Recently opened a first direct account, can I just switch from that to this.
Same and I got the £175 switch from them
I'd also like to know this as I also did the First Direct switch within the last month or so from an "extra" Chase current account.
Had the £175 from First Direct already and wanted to know if I can use this new First Direct account as my dummy to switch to this NatWest deal or do I need to keep the First Direct account for a set amount of time.
Thank you very much.
@@notacluebbq2500to be honest I’d keep the first direct account and just create a new chase current account and use that. No doubt that other banks will be able to see you opened and closed a first direct account all within a month, and they may give that as a reason not to let you open an account. Banks like Lloyds and the more prestige ones especially
My mother has been relegated to a foundation account. Will she still be eligible for the switch money?
Can someone please clarify that once i deposit 1250 gbp..do i need to keep it here or i can withdraw , what is the minimum tenure I need to keep the money in the account ?
Can I bank transfer or have to deposit in local bank ?
Anyone else have problems with applying? I started it on the App, it then transfers to browser, asks a few questions and then says something like 'sorry we can't continue with this application online'
yep, I have encountered the same problem.
Do you have to wait for the switch to get completed before you transfer the money in ? My accounts activated but switch not fully completed yet until other bank closes they said
Is still working now? Please reply
how does it work with existing accounts? My wife has a nat west account so is it more about switching another current account into her existing select account?
could you transfer chase account? also do you have to transfer DD's?
old account details will remain same or that will be changed to new account ??
I already have a student account, can i switch it from another account to still get the offer
I have a natwest select account can i switch from that to a reward account an pay 1250 in the account and get the money
Anyone recently received the RBS switch incentive after receiving the natwest?
Had the cash from RBS today, from Natwest 9 days ago.
Does this work with a joint account ?
Hi Andy. Thanks for your content, always really helpful. One question...how long after creating a Chase dummy account (extra current account with sort code and account n.o) should I wait until I take advantage of a switch deal...lets say the new one NatWest has announced.
As soon as. You can create up to 20 chase current accounts and they can all be used for switching. Get stuck in and bag £200
The banks know people are using dummy accounts for switching, it’s not a crime, they’re not gonna blacklist you or anything
@@sheriff8530 Awesome, thanks!
Will it work if I do it on the day the account opens and then take it out , or do I wait until the switch has fully been completed? To then be eligible
Hi so for example if I only had 625£ could I put that into my NatWest and then after 24 hours put it back to my other account and then put in the same amount again which now adds up to 1250£ would that work ?
yes
I didn’t leave mine in 24 hours and just got it
@@suzannebullen132 how long did you have to wait once you deposited the money?

Natwest - no contest

Does this require active Direct debit?
Hi what if i recently switched away from natwest will i still be able to get the cash ?
Still not working
Will the balance in my current account be transferred into the new account ? And more importantly will I get a debit card?
Yes your balance will be transferred to the new account and of course you will get a new debit card 💯
Hello, thank you for the useful information. Part of the switching process requires my debit card details, I’m looking to switch one of my chase current accounts , as suggested by you on a previous video, my chase debit card is linked to all my chase current accounts, will the switch process cancel this debit card?
It asks for the card details? Every time I’ve done a switch it just asks for the account number and the sort code. The sort codes will be the same for all your chase accounts but the account number is different. I assumed you just entered the account number of the one you wanted to switch
We were looking at the “what you need to have ready before you start the application” and it does say you need details of any active debit cards. I’ve not actually started the application yet but will give it a go later. I just didn’t want it to attempt to cancel my chase debit card as that is attached to one of my other chase current accounts at the moment. Just wondered if anyone else had the same problem. I know my different account numbers so no prob with that. Thank you
choose the 'I have never had a card for this account' option when filling out your info and put in your dummy chase current account details. Your main chase current account will remain open. Unfortunately for lloyds switching they didn't have the 'no card' option so I wouldn't risk switching a chase dummy account to lloyds, but for natwest its fine.
That’s great thank you
I’ve just gone through the full application then the very last screen said “we can’t continue with your request online” ☹️
Hi Andy, will I have to pay tax on this £200?
Hey there, I think I started this switch early as I rushed and started the switch yesterday (16/02) but your article says to open the natwest account after 20/2. Have I made a mistake?
On the natwest website it says from 15th
In 2023 I already claimed using the switch service!
Is there any alternative to claim switch and claim the amount once again?
Can someone help me please
Nah bro
Can i use a cashplus account to switch ?
Wondering if anyone can answer my question: Am I right in thinking I can just use one of my additional current accounts in chase for this switch? TIA
You can indeed. Make sure you enter the details of the new chase account though, if you put the original ones in it’ll close all your chase accounts and chase doesn’t let you open up ever again after you leave
NatWest is asking for the debt card number for Chase extra account. is that required or can it be skipped in the switch process?
I love the information but I can’t help asking WHY the banks are wasting their customer’s money?
They get more customers who then mostly deposit more money which means they can then make far more than the offer costs to run
Do I have to transfer in £1,250 all together or can I do it in instalments over the 60 days (e.g. £500 for one time and then £200 and then £525?
Yeah u can do instalments as long as £1.25k total there for 24 hrs
Is it still valid?
Hi, I've started my switch. I just wanted to clarify, I started the switch online and it directed me to open an account. As part of the account opening, it asked for my bank I provided that.
Would this still be eligible for the offer or should I have opened the account separately and done the switch online separately?
Can I use a First Direct Current Account opened in January to switch to Nat West/Ulster Bank? Thanks.
Yes
If I use my starling to switch can I get a starling account again if I reapply?
Best to not do this as it’ll be a while before you can open it again
Do you have to stay with these banks certain amount of time after switching ?
Don't think so. T&C say you can leave close the account any time. I'll probably just leave a zero balance and use it for my next switch.
