  • The easiest way to make the most of your bank is often “reward” accounts as they usually require very little effort to make something extra every month - and you don’t even need to switch to get them.

The TSB spend and save accounts only require 20 debit card transactions I believe

On a Saturday my local Odeon Lux is £18.49 a ticket! Even if you paid the fee (I don't) the odeon is a no brainer for me.

Yea it’s 20 payments for TSB one, and I use it for small amounts of spending and top up grocery vouchers (transactions that Chase doesn’t do cash back) and always get over 20 transactions a month. But once 6 months are over I’m switching 😂

I switched to Lloyds using my Chase account (I made up a second account to switch so still have my main Chase current account) but I didn’t get my £175 of cinema tickets. I did however put the money needed in the Lloyds account from my main account which is HSBC. I did the two direct debits also.

Hi Andy, thank you for the video. What’s your take on - Club Lloyds Silver Account
£10 monthly fee if you pay at least £2,000 into your account every month, £13 per month otherwise.
From 1st July 2024, we’re increasing the monthly account fee to £11.50 per month if you pay in at least £2000, £14.50 otherwise.

Hello Andy, I recently switched to TSB and got the £125 and as a result, I am also getting double cash back monthly.
I wish to ask if I will keep getting double cash backs if I take out the Direct Debits

Hello Andy, I still can’t find how to top up my Monzo bank account using a debit card. Do you have a video explaining this? Thanks

It's not difficult, either go into a Post Office, hand them your cash and they'll pay it in OR the exact same at PayPoint locations. Bear in mind theres a £1 fee for topping up cash via monzo, so I'd suggest paying it into a high street bank first, and then transferring it to yourself.

'Payments' at the bottom, then 'Request Money', on that page, click the top 'By QR code or link', then at the bottom of that next page (with the QR code on) just click 'Share link instead' - copy that link and just open it yourself in Safari, Chrome etc. and it will let you type an amount and fill the details in of a debit card. It's not as easy as Revolut's way of doing it where you add the debit within the app I'm afraid.
