    Dang bro appreciate the heck out of this! My chain is clunky after every ride even though I use triflow every ride it’s a pain.

    I miss my suron. I hear there is a ice distributer that deals in the stolen bikes in wailuku side happy valley way. Hoping to stop in and recover mine.

      Oh damn! I didn’t hear about them. Good luck. My friend tracked down his surron with an AirTag. I got one when he told me his story.

    Hi, for what type of chain can this be used?

      Non O ring

      @@plamenvelikov9964 I haven't tried it on any ringed chain because I'm not sure of how the wax would react w/ the rubber rings. If you try it, I think you'd have to constantly move the links while cooling off. Let me know if you do it.

    Great video! I guess you can safely skip the (excellent) de-greasing process for new chains if they are not factory-oiled?
    Do you ride on or off-road? Cause these 6 months you are talking about are in totally different conditions :) I cannot imagine a chain being hit by mud and sand all day long to withstand more than 10 rides without proper cleaning and re-waxing.
    Btw when you say "gas" is this 95/98 octane gasoline or something else? Cause I've never seen gasoline getting this milky colour before, even when mixed with oil.

      I used it for both road and off road. Most chains come with some sort of protectant on it so you probably have to use fuel (yes the kind you put in your car). Once you clean it, if you wanna rewax, it's a breeze because you already cleaned it.

      @@DanhRichardson thanks! I'm expecting a Renthal R1 to show up any minute on my door, I'll check if it looks treated in the factory.

      @@DanhRichardson regarding the 6 months (or more) you are getting out of it - is this off- or on-road? How much mileage does this equal to?

    Can I just use a degreaser for the cleaning part if the chain is purchased brand new?

    • @DanhRichardson
      @DanhRichardson  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe if you leave it soaked for a year. You really need to clean it well to let the wax have something to grab onto. So gas will be your best friend. No scrubbing needed. The degreaser is part 2 to get the gas off.

      @@DanhRichardson thanks, in your expeirence this makes maintenance free for up to 6 months? I heard its needed every few hundred km which doesn't sound right

    • @DanhRichardson
      @DanhRichardson  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vesc007 I was only able to rewax my first chain once before the chain was too stretched where I had to buy a new one. It lasted quite a long time and many miles. I wish I kept track better. Rewaxing is really easy too. Just wash with soap and water. Then dunk in hot wax.
