you can connect the midi drums directly to the quest 3
Bro you're wild. overlaying the vr kit on you're actual e-kit is a 420 iq level move. I'm a guitar player that's drum curios ;) Love you're work got yourself a band new subscriber. :D
Much love man ♥️
Connect midi to headset and use your real drum sticks and it will register in game
Thanks man!
Yo I'm also a drummer(/general musician). I tried this game back when it was still in a demo state but this seems much better! The game's mapping seem's ahead of time and not on-beat, but looks extremely fun!
you shred on drums btw
Me too, it was really drafty back then but it's miles ahead right now!
There is a setting for latency offset, you can adjust it better to stay on beat.
3:36 muscle memory kicks in quite literally
@wafrong Lmao yeah 🤣
Yo! I'm only seeing this now. I've been quite involved with Paradiddle. I made a tutorial on my channel on how to use the MIDI out function to change the drum sounds. I've also done official tutorials and song covers on the Paradiddle TH-cam channel (basically I'm biased). One of my biggest criticisms of the app is audio latency especially on Quest. If you connect your headset to a PC, you can either use ASIO4ALL or a hardware ASIO device (most audio interfaces support ASIO) you can basically eliminate latency. The quest version is also able to output MIDI data to be used with a drum VST or recorded in a DAW.
Another commenter mentioned you can input MIDI on quest and have the game track you score while overlaying the song on real drums. It's recommended that you use the sounds straight off the drum module because the audio latency will be even more apparent when you can feel the drum you're hitting.
Overall great feedback, I love to hear it and I'll try to pass the video along to the developers!
Oh that is awesome dude! I find this app very useful when you have to learn songs but still have to fiddle aorund a bit more to get things feeling on point.
I've been playin air drums for 51 years got quite a following lol
Oh wow. They need to combine this with the piano/keyboard app so people who have no musical experience can feel what it's like to play in a band using an actual piano and drums.
Thats a great idea!
I think you had your steel drum upside down lol Great video!
Oh my gosh, I confused it with a handpan instrument lmao
@@reality-rise Hahaha, all good! I was thinking it probably should make a louder noise or activate better. I've played Paradiddle VR in the past and had a lot of fun! Great drumming skills brother keep up the good work!
@@user-rf2gt1vn1l Thanks a lot brother!
I wonder if there are pedals for the quest yet?
It seems a no brainer... driving games.. drum games..?
It is just an on off switch..
I haven't directly seen one but perhaps third party?
Yes you can use pedals or even an e-drum kit.
Thank u 🎉🎉🎉
So apparently you can hook up a USB pedal to use for the drum kick, and I would assume for the Hi-Hats as well: th-cam.com/video/juPzMzygrms/w-d-xo.html
It would be cool to see you try this and see if it improves your experience any.
try tapping your foot and squeeze the trigger at the same time it helps
Yeah haha, it kind of worked
Is there a way to add real song to learn them for real using the vr? This is what I need. Similar to guitar hero but with real notes will be fantastic to learn ultra fast.
That would be fantastic indeed but I haven't seen that yet (or I might've missed it)
I want someone to do a XR Music Production DAW like logic pro x or fl studio that's the only thing the Questvis missing it has Korg Gadget VR but that app doesn't have that many sounds in it I was hoping apple would have done logic for the vision pro but they let me completely down
As a drummer as well these games have been nothing but frustrating and it comes down to the kick or lack of. Im not super techy but I have an electro kit at home and might give the mixed reality a try. If Im not feeling it Im officially done with drum games.
you can actually connect your digital kick, or even whole kit as a midi
I have been using Aerodrums since 2015. You ever used them in VR?
Haven't used them but they seem like a cool thing
Hold on, a small drummer on youtube?! Subbed!
Much love
Hi I am a drummer and looking for VR games for my kids to develop their rhythm. We have beat saber and this one doesn't look like a great match. Wondering if you have other suggestions
Awesome to hear, you can take a look at Smash Drums
3:17 thats upside down 💀
Hahaha I noticed that too afterwards XD
world record 0 score
😭
@@reality-rise and can you talk about battery life? İm gonna buy a quest 3 i want to lear how much battery life it haves at passtrough mode.
@@JohnWick-911 It doesn't have much. I love my Q3 it's very powerful but batterly life is quite short. Maybe an hour to and hour and half at most. If you can, position your plug to the left of you and plug it in for times when you don't need to swing your arms around. Otherwise get an external battery, put it in your pocket and wire it through your shirt, use a velcro strap to tie it to your headstrap and plug it in.
Youre not in a band anymore...
Unsubbed, thumbs down, reported.
Have a nice day😂
XD Well im sorry
@@reality-rise I was just getting a laugh, great video, I wish I could play as well as you.
Haha I know my man, thank you!
