    I just screamed a little! Thank you!
    I'd do maybe a smoky/ cloudy swirl in a lighter purple, maybe pink with a darker color for the frames

    These are awesome! I could see it them in lime green with turquoise numbers. Or maybe orange with red!! All of the colors!

    I love the pink and blue but I would love to try green and pink and maybe some flowers.

    I'm new to dice making (I recently purchased 2 molds from you), and these are so cool! I would use teal and purple alcohol inks combo in the blanks, paint the inlay lines gold. Thanks for sharing and creating inspiring content!

    These are so gorgeous, I think I'd do a gold for the frames, and an opaque white swirl on the inside, or some pearlescent flakes.

    They look fantastic! I'd love to see it in purple and gold

    I'd have to try for some sort of rainbow or multicolor inking if I were to cast with this mold. I'm sure it would be a fair amount of work, but sometimes meticulous detail work is a fantastic source of serotonin.

      The next set I'm doing actually for a customer is rainbow! I'm going extra hard mode and painting each individual face a different color for rainbow explosion

    These turned out so nice! I really appreciate how good of an eye you have for color. If I had this mold, I would use tiny paper butterfly inclusions in the middle of the blanks, and either keep them clear or try a mica drop underneath the butterfly with some greens and browns to make it look like a tiny terrarium. Awesome work!

    I'll have to try something like this with some color shift paints.

    Those turned out awesome! I’m a sucker for Zelda in the stained glass art so I would definitely go with a green and yellow coloring

    My favorite font! And I immediately want to also make it look like webs. I would do florals, maybe a dried hydrangea with brea reese liquid glitter for that soft shimmer. And something moody like a gray purple for the inking.

    I think a combo i would try is a deep red/burgundy paint, with gold painted digits. I might also do a seafoam or turquoise with silver or white digits.

    im obsessed with breath of the wild again so i'd try some taupes, tans etc to mimic old ruins or something of that nature! so many possibilities!

    Penny copper (shiny) with a forest green. This is going for an abstract elven lotr look. giving a slightly architectural look and feel. It isnt a strict stain glass look.

    An oil rubbed bronze or metallic/ black would lend itself to the stained glass look.

    Wow, I was a bit doubtful when you picked out the blue dye and paint but they came out gorgeous! I almost wanna pick a mold up and dye it yellow, paint the edges orange, and then the numbers red- with gold flakes on the inside.
    Love your work, I’ve kept to making mini dice but these have me very tempted to break out of that shell!

    I would love to make a clear blue dice with white/pink clouds inside, so it seems like clouds in a cage???

    Want an idea for a "dice tray"? Do a search on youtube for "cigar ashtray wood". With or without the cigar, it would make an awesome dice tray. Very fancy.

    A different feel could be with those straight lines and crisp corners could look at a 1930's art deco look. yellow/silver/white on a transparent black fill.

    These came out so beautifully! I would probably use mylar paper in them if I had this mold...and maybe ombre paint on the blanks? It's hard for me to choose ink colors xD

    Do you vent and/or filter?

    • @DruidDice
      @DruidDice  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I use fume extraction. I should also be using a respirator just to be extra safe even though it's not needed for this particular resin based on the safety data sheet, but when recording it makes things difficult. More safety is always better because you just never know!

  • @joan_of_snark
    @joan_of_snark ปีที่แล้ว

    I'd love to make a Joan of arc themed set! Go with a more traditional silver on the blanks but then maybe ink the shells in a glow in the dark color? Inclusion-wise I think I could do anything with some color-shifting properties 👀 gods I've wanted to get into the dicemaking game for so long haha

  • @Philious
    @Philious ปีที่แล้ว

    Oooh that's a creative idea for a mold! Those turned out really pretty. I'd want to experiment with painting designs between the lines with more than one color, but the transparency would probably make it a chaotic mess. But that's what experimentation is all about! :P

    How do you get that perfectly even clear coating of resin on each side on the blanks? Don't the blanks sink in the uncured resin?

    • @DruidDice
      @DruidDice  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I design our blanks to fit perfectly in our molds that we sell so that they rest less than .1 mm off the number depth, which means they're a perfect fit! The little bit of resin that remains doesn't cause any sinking because it's such a good fit

    • @jaketaylor-bs8go
      @jaketaylor-bs8go ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DruidDice Thank you so much! That question's been bothering me a lot. Though I am a little disappointed that your solution doesn't work for all objects, it certainly works perfectly for your dice!

    • @DruidDice
      @DruidDice  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah unfortunately in order to have good blanks they have to match your molds. If you make your own molds and are looking for blanks, we do offer that type of service!

    how do you keep glitter suspended in the resin? When i had glitter to the resin it all sinks to the 6. i would like to have it all throughout the resin

    • @DruidDice
      @DruidDice  ปีที่แล้ว

      When going for suspension, the best thing you can do is make tests with your resin and and try mixing and pouring it at different intervals. I typically recommend doing every 15 minutes for the pot life and then every 10 minutes beyond the pot life for up to an hour. You can get a candy mold really cheap off Amazon and that'll show you how your glitter stays in suspension. This is also a good test to do for Petrie to see how your petri and ink will sink at different times as the resin thickens. I have an older video on the process!
      Another really good trick you can do is be sure to use glitters that will suspend properly. I find glitter hippo and solar color dust both have great glitters that are grated by weight. For instance, glitter hippo's dream flakes are pretty much guaranteed to stay in good suspension as is the hyper hollow glitter from solar color dust.

    Just don't do resin dice without a pressure pot. It's a lot cheaper to do like coasters cutting boards and other stuff not to mention it's a LOT cheaper to start this that way. And then decide whether u want to spend over 2000 dollars on this project 😂
