Hey, I made the dice according to your recipe and they turned out to be my most beautiful dice I made so far. Thank you for the great and detailed description. I'm already looking forward to more great designs.
It is so kind that you share so much information! My husband and I recently decided to start making dice as kind of a couple’s hobby, and you’ve been such an inspiration to us. It’s amazing to know this community has people who share their skills so us noobs have somewhere to start! ❤️
Oh gosh, thank you so much!! I’m glad I could help. I wouldn’t know anything about dice making if it wasn’t for how generous other, more experienced makers were with their information, so it only feels right to share in return 🥰
Quickly becoming my favorite dice channel! I have binged your TikTok and love that, but I’m a huge fan of the longer content and the details you provide!
Awesome tutorial video. The other guy just showed the steps but you actually explain the dyes and why your doing what you do. Not sure if I'll get into this hobby myself as I have no need for dice any more, but it's awesome watching the process.
I have a doubt: to make cloud dices, can I substitute alcohol ink for translucent pigment? I'm from Brazil, it's very difficult to find alcohol ink here and the delivery takes a long time buying it from the internet. I love your videos and I learned a lot with them. Thank you so much for teaching your skills!
Thanks so much for all the information you share! I'll try this style as soon as my resin arrives. I started this hobbie a week ago, so, I'm pretty much learning here and your videos are very inspiring. Can I ask you a very beginner question? I tried some pourings with glitter (a makeup gliiter that I borrow from my wife) but the 3 times I tried, they sink in to the botton face. Any tips to use glitter or any kind of insert? Thank you so much!
Could you accomplish the cloud effect with mica or or some other thing besides just white? Also I'm curious, what does the use of alcohol ink accomplish over using just normal translucent ink? Do they mix better or, is it just the colors that you like?
i am waiting for some of my supplies to arrive so i can start trying to make dice, but i love your videos SO much! i feel like i’m learning a lot just from watching them and i absolutely cannot wait to try your techniques. i have been looking for cool dice styles to make for my friends and all of yours are so rad!!! thank you so much for sharing. i am super excited to try 😌
Your dice look soo pretty, I have made a squish mold for a chunky d20 but always end up with voids forming after pulling it out of the pressure pot even though I mix carefully and degass as much as possible. I would really appreciate any tips to avoid voids forming on the 1 surface? I am going to give the cap mold with reservoir in your other video a shot but would still like to get the most out of my current mold.
Voids on the surface are usually from surface tension issues. Mold release should help with this - you can either buy some mold release spray, or use a little vaseline on a q-tip and rub it into the surface of the mold. If you're getting voids on the top face of your squish mold, I suggest putting some resin on the top half of your mold, and rubbing it in with a popsicle stick or a gloved finger. This will help break up any surface tension there and prevent air from getting trapped.
Hi, so you might have had this question before but can you use acrylic ink to use as a colorant for the resin? I know you can't use it for dirty pours, but I have a bunch of acrylic ink I used a while ago that's still good.
So I specifically use a Harbor Freight paint pot that was converted to work as a pressure pot. I do have a video discussing pressure pots in more detail coming soon™️!
Loved how you shot the video, and your narration. You made it easy to understand and your voice is so nice! 💜 I do have a question; in the past, when my partner tried to make custom dice, he had a sticky finish problem. It was recommended to us that we use a thinner resin, and not cap the molds until the resin has rested. Especially since we live in a hot climate. What would you suggest to thin the viscosity of the resin? Is it as simple as a different brand?
Honestly this depends! There could be a number of factors. Was the silicone mold made/cured properly? If not that could be a problem. What resin were they casting with and what type of silicone was the mold? Some resins encounter “cure inhibition” when used with certain types of silicone. Was the resin mixed at the correct ratio for the correct amount of time? Often cure issues in resin relate to one of these two factors (or both) being off. Could also just be the type of resin!
Hey, sorry to bother you, but I got a set of Pixiss inks and they're pretty awesome. However, I'm having an issue where the pinks and purples all oxidize / burn while curing and turn orange and brown. Yours don't do that? How do you keep your pinks/purples from burning / going gross? I'm using Dr. Crafty resin, rather than Art N Glow, since it's what I could find.
My suspicion is they’re just incompatible with your resin. I’ve never heard of that brand before, but especially if it’s faster curing or gets really hot it’ll increase the likelihood of burn
It’s the molds! My matte molds are from when my masters were sanded to 2k grit, my shiny molds are basically my masters polished through all zona papers
Hey, I have a question if you don't mind me asking. Have you ever had a complaint about lose of color in a product that you used alcohol ink colorant in? I have before and I felt so bad that I remade multiple orders for free (it was a quite a bit of money for a beginner- ;-;) also- if you have any other tips that would be great as well! Thank you so much! I love your content by the way, you always make such pretty and beautiful art
Your work is fantastic. Each design popped out in its own way. I particularly love the last set you casted, the deep colours were amazing. for your blank inserts, do you only polish using the grey zona paper?
@@dreamy_dice I was going to ask about the 'polishing' technique for matte dice. Only going to 2k grit maintains the matte finish or is there something else you do too? Thanks. Love your content
@@derekdavidson9088 yep, it’s just achieved by stopping at 2k grit! If you want a more velvety matte you could go further to 3/4K for a bit of a different effect ☺️
I have the same white ink but mine have turned into something yellowish or brownish. Is there a way to learn what has gone wrong in the process? Does someone have the same problem? All inks are from Piñata
Large glitter will sink (even if it doesn’t seem large) unless you take a bunch of steps to try to suspend it, like flipping your molds. I pretty much exclusively use Brea Reese’s Iridescent liquid glitter or microfine glitters because I don’t like dealing with sinking.

Honestly just leaving a comment for the algorithm, your videos are great and I don't know how this channel didn't blow up yet! ♡
I agree! GO GO GADGET ALGORITHM COMMENT.
Thank you so much! I've been learning resin foe 6 years. The DND dice are very different from what I work on normally. I love learning new things. ❤❤

12:02 I vote swizzler! Never heard the word before in my life but I immediately loved it
Oh I can't wait to try this!!!!
Thanks for such a clear tutorial especially the weight/measurements of the amount of epoxy!
I really love your tutorials and your taste for colour combinations 💜💙

Oh gosh. The dices are so pretty! I am curious to know how do you make a matte dice mould? Is that even possible?
Thank you so much for these videos. They are both informative and soothing.

They are all so gorgeous wow wtf 😍😍
Gorgeous work, great tutorial.
Thank you!!

Great walk through, thank you
Wow these are beautiful! Would you mind sharing where you got your Master dice? I love this design !
My master dice from this video were from Arcana Cast! :)

Gorgeous! Do you mind linking the 2 flakes you used?
These are beautiful! I would love a set of dice like that
So inspiring! Thank you for taking the time to make this.
Soo prettyyy
i wanted to ask, youre using the same paint and resin for all so what makes them shiny versus matte.
Hi, so you might have had this question before but can you use acrylic ink to use as a colorant for the resin? I know you can't use it for dirty pours, but I have a bunch of acrylic ink I used a while ago that's still good.
Do you ever have problems with the gold flakes coming off the surface of the dice?
First time viewer! Just subscribed! Also do I here you talking to your dog in a layered audio lol?
I love your videos! Thanks for doing this!

do you make your own molds? I`m looking for good ones to try out myself and I`d be happy to buy a mold from you ♥
I do make my own molds and unfortunately have no plans to make molds for sale. But I do have a tutorial for my mold style posted!

Sorry I feel kinda dumb asking but is your ink that gives the matte effect or is the cap? I was kinda confused.

How you made the matte? Is it polishing?

for your blank inserts, do you only polish using the grey zona paper?
Thank you so much! My blanks and my matte dice are both sanded with/to 2k grit wet/dry sandpaper

Hey, does someone know why my clouds sink to the bottom and how I can prevent that from happening?
15:40 Holy shit, I thought there were people outside my house, in the woods, in the middle of the night.
How did you make them matte?
Sand them ! It's just a frosted look achieved through texture
What is the glitter white brand called? o:
Brea Reese iridescent glitter!
All my glitter goes bottom :/ how do You deal with that?
Large glitter will sink (even if it doesn’t seem large) unless you take a bunch of steps to try to suspend it, like flipping your molds. I pretty much exclusively use Brea Reese’s Iridescent liquid glitter or microfine glitters because I don’t like dealing with sinking.
@@dreamy_dice Thx i just ordered that liquid glitter :)
I tried this and my alcohol ink floated to the top! I think I did something wrong. I would think sinking would be a bigger problem with the white 😂
