    Frequently Asked Questions:
😇 How old are you? 22
📝 What are you studying? I just finished studying English Literature at the University of Exeter. But we are students for life, and I hope that I will continue learning even though I am out of structured education.
📚What are your favourite books? • 200 book recommendatio...
📝 Have you written a book? My life goal is to be a published author and make a living from writing and I am using this year to gain experience, build up a portfolio and work on a book with my agent. I have just finished the final draft of that book, as you can see in this video. I did self-publish a book about bullying when I was seventeen which is available on Amazon (amzn.to/3mdJKLm), but I'm slightly embarrassed by it now!
🎃 Do you have merch? I don't have merch in the traditional sense (I can't imagine selling something with my face or name on haha!), but I do have a stationery company where I sell planners for students. These are all designed with students in mind and follow models which I've used when planning my studying. Our products are printed in pastel colours on recycled paper: bit.ly/3wgsR85

People are so quick to put labels on themselves. Hence, the many online quizzes, astrology, etc. I think we all want to label ourselves to understand ourselves and how we fit in with the world. When it comes to introvert and extrovert, these terms have been around a long time but recently it seems younger people are using them more than ever. One bit of advice I will give as an older person is that you can change throughout your life. If you were an outgoing child, you might become more reserved in older age and vice versa. As long as we listen to our feelings and do what feels right, look after yourselves and always recharge your batteries, whatever that looks like to you.

It's very good that you're talking about panic attacks but they don't come out of being an introvert. You might have a social anxiety.

It's so brave of you to make this video! Especially when you spoke about your panic attack. I think you're doing a fantastic job helping reduce the stigma around panic attacks, especially by telling people about having a panic attack in a different situation than we might be used to, like a panic attack before an exam or something traumatic happening to us. I don't know if I would have the courage to be so vulnerable while doing so.

I do think there's many misconceptions about introverts. It seems to be an extrovert's world, I feel, and a lot of people don't understand it. They think we must be lonely or anti-social. Quite the opposite! I love my friends and enjoy hanging out with them, but at the end, I like to escape into my own company and re-charge. I think the biggest benefit of being an introvert is enjoying your own company and feeling 'whole'. You don't need company to fulfill you. 😊

As an extrovert, I found this video boring. However, I am a mother and wife to introverts and this was helpful to understand the necessary time alone they require.

Feel this so much - as an adult living with my partner (a fellow introvert), we are finally able to set boundaries with families and friends so that we can enjoy the holidays with them AND have down time to recharge ❤

Everybody needs time alone sometimes, and everyone likes to see friends sometimes. We all have more in common than we have different, so I don’t like to label myself one way or the other because labels are limiting.

I'm an introvert, and although I love Christmas time, because I love to be with my close family, it's also a stressful time for me, because I have to interact with too many people, there are too many social events, such as the company dinner...it's difficult de explain but , for me, being socially active for a long time it's exhausting, and all I want is Christmas to be over and get back to the normal routine 🥲

I'm introvert. I don't think certain people understand it. Love your videos Ruby. It provokes my inner thoughts. Hope next year is good to you and you find success in all you do. Be that writer that the world is longing for 🖋️🤓

I am an introvert just like you Ruby but you have now shown me that it's okay to be so. its ok to be by your self, in solitude, sitting by the fire watching a video of another introvert talk about her life. And learn a thing or two. So thanks!!!

Ruby you and I are different in many ways. I live up north, I’m not academic and I’m a little rough around the edges however I find myself gravitating to your videos. I find them relaxing and grounding. I loved English in school but I never pursued it further but I love hearing your passion for literature and writing. Your videos are little works of art.

I really loved that you made a video on this. I call myself an ambivert, I can be super social but I enjoy my solitude more. The older I get the more I enjoy my own company and especially the peace. People can be so chaotic that it gives off anxiety.

Getting an anxiety or panic attack from seeing other people, friends or family is NOT introversion. This is social anxiety or agoraphobia. Please, don't call it introversion, that really puts it into a negative perspective.

i think people confuse mental illness with introversion too often. introversion does NOT mean being shy, or anxious or socially awkward.

Ruby when it comes to your panic attack I'm so sorry that happened and hope you're feeling better now and obviously I don't know the Ins and outs of your life but having panic attacks over seeing friends isn't really a introvert thing, it's an anxiety or mental health think so pls maybe see a dr or therapist who can help. You shouldnt have to sacrifice seeing friends due to panic attacks
