Hey Doods! In today's video I share a day in the life preparing for puppies with an unfortunate turn of events at the end. I promised you all I would be real and raw with you guys and show not only the good but the bad that comes along with breeding. I never thought we would experience something like this but unfortunately we are always at the hand of Mother Nature. Hi Bailey I don’t know if you remember me but I commented on one of your videos back before September and I told you how we were expecting puppies in September we found out the day after she was due that she had miscarried five out of six puppies and on that date she had one puppy and we weren’t able to revive because she was originally live but she just had too much mucus in her lungs we rushed her to the vet it was the midnight and we found 5 puppies inside of her so I know what you’re going through about losing a whole litter we also sent labs out just like you are doing now and we bread her back this past weekend and are expecting puppies end of March first of April all the best to you and I hope it goes well for you next time

Bless your soul. To go through something like this is devastating. The really only thing you can do is comfort ivy and know that it was not your fault. Sometimes mother nature decides the time is not right and the only thing we can do as humans is to heal those we love. My prayers are with you. I hope ivy is fine and you get the resultes from the testing of the puppies. The death of those puppies is deeply felt by everyone and I hope you know that all of us love you and will help you go through this difficult time.❣️❤️😔
I’m so sorry you are going through this. As a former breeder and vet tech, I have seen and went through this myself. I’m most cases we don’t know the cause and as you are doing we learn from it and try to heal. Please don’t let this out you in a place to stop breeding as it’s nothing that you did or didn’t do to cause this. You are an amazing person and truly a good breeder. Thank you for keeping it real with everyone and know we are here for you. Sending lots of thoughts and prayers your way. What you go through will only make you stronger. 🙏🙏💕💕

So sorry Bailey, I kind of know the pain you’re going through... our dog delivered her 3 pups outside and by the time we got to her she had squished one and then 1 died a week later.. we were so attached to the little guy and we tried everything to help him unfortunately we did not have any emergency vets near us and it happened at 5am on a Sunday when our regular vet was closed 😭.. He passed away in my hands I was soo heavy hearted during and a couple weeks after.
Thankfully we have our one miracle puppy Willow! We found out later when we almost lost our Willow as well, the boy pup died of colic. it was a sad but learning life experience that definitely has prepared us for the future. Sending Hugs Bailey❤️❤️

I am so very sorry for your and Ivy's loss!
I was a Yorkshire Terrier breeder for many years and I experienced loss of several liters and it is so devastating not only for you as a breeder but for your dog! I grieved with my momma dogs.
These dogs are like your children and it hurts and it takes time to heal.
You are a wonderful caring dog momma! You take great care of your dogs and the puppies. We just do not understand why these happen but never the less it still hurts. Just know it was nothing you or Ivy did wrong!

hi bailey! i’m so sorry for all the losses😔. take your time. we all understand what your going through. it’s hard and if you need take some time off of youtube, you do that. it’s what makes sense for you and what you need. has heart breaking has it is god will help you get through it. it’s okay to be upset. but at least ivy is ok! it could be worst. prayers out to you💜💜🙏🏼. rest in peace to all the sweet babies life who were lost.

I'm so very sorry. I will definitely be praying for you all. Don't doubt yourself through this. You're an amazing breeder. You do so much to prepare the mom, keep her healthy during the pregnancy. And after so much to prepare the puppies. You use guardian homes so they get loving homes instead of a life in a pen. I can't imagine your devastation. But I believe you're a very caring, knowledgeable breeder. Please don't blame yourself. Continued Prayers.

Hi Bailey I’m a very experienced breeder in the Uk. In the 30 years I’ve been breeding I’ve never had this. Don’t let this put you off. You’re doing a fantastic job. Keep going. I love watching your videos
about the cat being sick - one of my cats has the same issue, just throwing up constantly for no clear reason, and i had her taken to the vet and we were told that she simply eats too fast + has food sensitivites -- which basically means that almost any regular cat food does something to make her throw up. just look into slow feeders, foods for cats with sensitivies or allergies, or try an elimination diet :) hope this helps.

What a terrible sadness but I’m grateful she’s ok. We can learn so much from our four legged children- I’ve learned a ton of life lessons from them. Please don’t lose ur strength from a what ur vet said from what most likely is a fluke. U r amazing

I'm so sorry Bailey. I must have missed this video before, but then I heard you talk about it in your newest video and saw you talk about it on Instagram. I can't imagine how hard this is. Ivy would have been such an amazing mom. I'm so so sorry for you loss.
I’m so sorry you and Ivy have had to experience this loss. I just wanted to tell you you couldn’t possibly have had anything to do with this. You couldn’t have changed what happened. I believe Mother Nature and God has a plan for everyone, even animals, and everything will be okay. Keep doing what you love. I see how much you care for your animals. Hugs to you and give Ivy a big kiss for me.
Regarding Freddie, my cat used to do that periodically and their best guess was IBS. She got steroid shots every three months and it helped a ton. Maybe something to consider if it keeps happening. Hers would go away and come back every couple weeks until we started the steroids.
I am so sorry Bailey, that would have been absolutely heartbreaking for you and Ivy to experience. It is so hard when you can't talk to her to and tell her how much you love her and that she will be ok. You are doing so well and I am sending hugs from Sydney Australia

So sorry to hear about Ivy and your loss. Glad Ivy is okay. One of my sister friend breeds Goldendoodles and one of her baby passed too. I know it was hard on her. I cant even imagine losing all the babies, but Stay strong and positive. Everything will be okay. ❤️

I only recently came upon your channel. I have 3 dogs and my youngest is a 3 year old h1b standard goldendoodle. I immediately fell in love with your channel and your sweet dog family. I am so very sorry for your loss. I breed golden retrievers and can not imagine how devastating this is for you. Things happen that can not be explained. You did nothing wrong and you are definitely meant to be doing this so don’t question yourself. Your an amazing breeder.
It does happen dont beat yourself up! Its the sad reality every animal can go thru this, luckly most dont comprehend or react like us humans. Its most common for 1st time doggy moms. Im a dog groomer and 2 of my clients one chihuahua and a other toy poodle both ended having a miscarriage near the end of their pregnancy or atleast still born puppies. That to say that the poodle now had her 2nd pregnancy and gave birth to 3 adorable puppies born around the same time as the ski litter. If you ever decide to breed Ivy again I hope that time her pregnancy goes full term and we can meet the puppies and see what a great puppy mamma she can be! ❤❤

Hi Bailey, I am so sorry this happened to you. We were all looking forward to the next litter and we are also so devastated. I hope there was nothing wrong with ivy when they test what happened to the puppies. Please do not feel any pressure to post, take your time this is a big thing nobody was expecting, everybody understands if you do not post we all feel the sadness of the deaths. We know how much you love dogs and devoted all this time and effort into your litters and ivys. I felt heartbroken when I heard this news, but it is nature some things can happen to the puppies and that is a possibility that comes with breeding and I’m sure you know this, because you are a great ethecial breeder. We know it was your New Years resolution to share the good and bad, I’m sure a lot of people have been inspired to be a breeder young and old because of you. I look at your comments and I see “ you have inspired me to be a breeder when I’m a grown up”. You have also inspired me and taught us what it means to be an ethical breeder. As devastating and hard as things like this are. THIS is what determines if someone is really cut out to be a breeder. I know many people that give up the first time something bad happens. Those people are not cut out for it. If you are cut out for it, you grieve the loss and then move on. Looking forward to the good things that WILL happen in the future. Keep your chin up, know that it isn't anything you did or didn't do, play with puppies, love on Ivy and the other older dogs and remember that while things like this can happen, much more often, everything goes great.

I’m a goldendoodle breeder also, my heart is broken for you!! I understand the heartache, disappointment and discouragement… I had 2 litters back to back that didn’t go well- first we lost 4 out of 8 and the next she only had 2. I felt like I was so prepared and tried to learn everything I could but I blamed myself, I was ready to throw in the towel. After much encouragement from some breeder friends and prayer I felt peace and know that there will be some not so good litters at times but hopefully few and far between! We’ve had 2 great litters since! Big hugs to you my dear! You are amazing!
